Our first time staying in this apartment, having previously stayed on Lake View Loft. A lovely, luxurious feeling apartment with plenty of room. We had a very comfortable stay in this first class accommodation, lots of little details which were really appreciated, from the complimentary tea and coffee and toiletries to the well equipped kitchen. This is a perfect place to stay in Bowness. Thank you to Claire and Ross for another fantastic break.
Such a perfect gem, located in a superb location. Not one complaint regarding this accommodation, spotlessly clean, homely and had everything you would need for a great few days away. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
We recently stayed at heather mere cottage and just wow. What a lovely house, perfect location to walk in and out of the town centre. The house was perfectly clean on arrival, little amenities provided which were a lovely touch. There were plenty of things to do in the house, even with the weather being awful, lots of games and blankets to keep us cosy. We will definitely return next year when hopefully we pick a weekend without a storm! Highly recommended x

We stayed for 4 nights but wish it had been longer, what a fabulous house. From the minute we booked the service had been exceptional, Ross responds to questions very quickly he couldn’t have been more helpful. This house is absolutely stunning, it smelt so clean when we arrived, the facilities are excellent and the location is perfect to explore many different areas, with a pub a 5 minute walk away and lovely walkways for dogs we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better for our 4 nights away with friends, we will definately be returning, no need to look anywhere else once you’ve found perfection.
This is my 2nd stay in this well appointed one bedroom 2nd floor apartment. Car parking slot is conveniently situated near the road easy to get in & out. Great in a town like Ambleside where parking can be an issue. Magnificent lake land views from every window. Quiet - didn't hear other tenants come & go or notice traffic passing. Well situated for all Ambleside shops, eateries, bus interchange & if you're a fell walker as we are an excellent base from which to start some beautiful walks. A gem. Many thanks
Corner House is a very well presented and thought out holiday cottage. It had everything you could want for a Lake District holiday. The proportions were great for two people and the boot room was especially welcome for our walking holiday. It is one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. We would love to return. Don't hesitate to book this one! The location was great too. Plenty of walks from the cottage, a co-op and deli on the doorstep to stock up with. And a choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. I visited previously in the summer with my grandchildren and had a brilliant time, house was beautiful well decoratedand had everything we needed, the hot tub was an added bonus. Bank house is in a private location, ideal for beautiful walks and enjoying Silverdale and the nearby Lake district. I enjoyed my stay so much I have just returned for a week with my husband, and again had a brilliant relaxing stay. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

We hired the cottage for 2 nights during our wedding. Throughout, the cottage was cosy, welcoming and in the perfect location. It had all the amenities we needed and it was just the perfect base for an amazing weekend!
What is excellent about this property is the 4 comfortable bedrooms all with well finished en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you would need including a pantry area with wine fridge and another large fridge freezer plus downstairs loo. The lounge area has a wood burning fire for cosy evenings. The parking is a short distance away - we had no difficulties with others parking in it. The WiFi was very variable and it was difficult to watch TV on some days though this might have been impacted by the storms - we could not find the box to reboot as indicated in the kitch...more
We had a wonderful time at Potters Wheel. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well thought out with regards to space, storage and comfort. The kitchen was well equipped and the entire family loved the shower. The cottage’s proximity to the lake was the biggest draw and I swam twice a day with great enjoyment. We spotted so much wildlife in the gardens: dragonflies, squirrels, birds, and at the lake; geese, ducks and fish. Thank you for fantastic place to stay in a gorgeous part of the country.
Had a great few days in the autumn sunshine. The cottage is very cosy, well appointed and minutes walk from several pubs and restaurants. The parking in the car park is only 5 minutes walk. Would definitely stay again.
We booked to stay at Victory Cottage in Hawkshead via Tarn & Fell Escapes. The booking process was easy and email confirmations were received promptly, the cottage was as described and the photos were a good depiction of the cottage. It was as close as you could get to the centre of Hawkshead and the parking space was a real bonus. If you want to walk locally or use public transport then you could park up and leave your car there. The cottage was gorgeous, we loved the decor and quality finishes and the bed was supremely comfortable! The geographic location was fabulous, lots of walking from the door. Whilst the cottage itself doesn't have a view, the views from the garden area and hot tub are to die for and we never tired of those. As the listing says the cottage is attached to the owners property, they and their family were lovely but we were a bit uncomfortable having to knock on the door asking for cars to be moved so we could get ours out and it felt odd walking to the hot tub across a farmyard, in full view, in...more

We really enjoyed our stay in Pottery Gate. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We appreciated the welcome pack after a long journey. Also having a parking permit to use in other places eg Ambleside and Grasmere was really handy. We would love to return!
It is a lovely property, clean and comfortable and so, so, quiet. We thought we were onto a winner when the property is advertised as disabled friendly or “for those who are less able or use a wheelchair”. Yes, it has two full wet rooms and is fairly spacious inside. But the problem is, if you’re a full-time wheelchair user like me, you can’t actually get inside. In recent years, the owners have built a porch on the side of the property which means that once the front door is open there is an immediate 90° tight turn right to get inside. We've had a very comfortable stay in the Bolt Hole. The property is in a lovely little village with beautiful surrounding areas. Everything we needed was provided. The beds and bedding are so comfortable, we all slept really well. The hot tub was great, ready from the moment we got there and tucked away in a private space in the garden. Checking in was easy and we felt like it was our home for the time we were there.
The property is beautiful and immaculately kept - plenty of amenities in the property to keep everyone occupied during down time and the location is absolutely perfect, it's just outside of the hustle and bustle of the local towns but perfectly situated for access to all areas and National Trust days out.
We had a lovely stay in this lodge despite the horrendous weather that coincided with our stay. My grandchildren made full use of the hot tub, and was a welcome distraction from the weather. The only negative was the poor internet and Wi-Fi connection, which seemed to be the case throughout the whole holiday park, except for in the bar and restaurant.
Ideally placed in virtually the center of Bowness. The place seems recently renovated and has everything you need for a short self catering break. Private parking was fine, no problem getting my VW Touran in the parking space. Easy walking access to all the shops, restaurants and pubs. We would stay here again if visiting the Lakes
Stylish apartment, short drive away from Cartmel for plenty of nice places to eat. Close enough to the southern fells to explore. Definitely recommend.
We visited Low Longmire Cottage this time last year and loved it so much we decided to return again this year. Absolute perfect location for peace, quiet and fantastic scenery. Fabulous walks close by. Visited the south lakes and Drigg beach which as great for the dog. 2 pubs within walking distance. Both served excellent food but The Manor House was our favourite. Best to book though. The cottage was perfect for a couple with one dog. The property was beautifully clean; it was a little cold when we arrived, but once it warmed up, it was a lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend. We didn't get a chance to explore the local walks, but a fantastic location on the edge of Ambleside.
We had a great time at dizzy ducks. Few things need repair extract fan being the main one but overall it’s a great place to stay. We’ll be back.
Had a nice stay at this cottage, the downstairs is huge and well laid out with lots of storage and coat hooks. The blinds are a little fiddly with all the strings but do their job. Heating is very good and water pressure is excellent. Parking is a bonus but many cars pull off their driveway and block the access for loading and unloading which is annoying. Upstairs is slightly different, smaller if a little cramped and the shower is very tiny, don’t expect to be able to turn around or even close the door if your larger than a size 10 or larger breasted and picking up the shower gel from the flo...more
