From the moment i booked this you could not fault the service from tarn and fell They were brilliant. They called me on day of check in to say the cottage was ready early and even helped us out with additional car parking as we had 2 cars. The cottage was absolutely incredible! We go away once a month and this was honestly the nicest accomodation iv ever stayed in! Everything in the cottage was done to such a high standard. We will 100% be booking with this company again you couldn’t fault anything and all there properties are stunning thankyou for such a wonderful trip
Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay at this incredible property! From the start, Tarn and Fell Escapes were fantastic to deal with - professional, timely and so friendly! Nothing was too much trouble. The house itself is pure luxury and absolutely immaculate. The owner Stacey is lovely and went out of her way to ensure my stay was a comfortable one. I really treasured my time there and undoubtedly I will be back. Thankyou so much.
Great stay at Dizzy Ducks, lovely lodge on a well maintained site within easy reach of the villages in the South Lakes. The lodge was spotless and extremely well equipped. There is an entertainment centre and a pool in site which appeared to be very popular. Ross at the Tarn & Fell Escapes was very helpful and i would recommend the company and a stay at the lodge
We so enjoyed our 4 nights at Edge Mere apartment. Very convenient location and a perfect property with everything we could wish for to celebrate a special birthday. Exploring the area by boat, on foot and by car was so easy and the shops cafes and pubs are right on the doorstep. A very relaxing trip. We would love to return.
This was our fifth year staying at Mere View Loft and, once again, it did not disappoint. It is such a lovely, stylish, clean and comfortable place to stay in the heart of Bowness and is exceptional accommodation. A big thank you to Claire and Ross for continuing to offer such a wonderful place to stay and for providing such a smooth, professional and courteous booking service from start to finish. This is apartment is a gem in the heart of the beautiful Lake District and Tarn and Fell Escapes provides excellent customer service.
We would definitely recommend this lovely apartment. On arrival everything was immaculate and of very high standard with a full equipped kitchen. Brilliant location with amazing views and parking directly outside. We booked through Tarn and Fell and as always nothing was too much trouble for Ross who was very helpful as always. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Excellent location. View to die for. Very well equipped. Lovely walks direct from garden. We were a family group of six and we all very Pleased with the property.
Delightful, well appointed, cosy cottage. Excellent location. Didn’t use car at all. Bus service very good.
This was our second stay in Smithy Cottage and everything was just as perfect. Superbly equipped, comfortable and great location make it a five star destination. Tarn & Fell provide a unique personalised service.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pottery Gate. The house was super clean, very comfortable, and a great place to come home too after a long day walking. The bathroom was a huge hit with my children, watching tv while having a bath was a great surprise! It was very handy having the laundry facilities too, a great addition to the house. I’d also add that we are not pet people and I was a little worried about smells, but there was none at all. It was very clean and smelt wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a little base in the Lakes.
We had a lovely three night break at High Tarn Green. The rural location made for a quiet peaceful stay in warm, comfortable and well presented accommodation. The property had everything we required and we had no need to bother our hosts who had left us some nice biscuits, milk, orange juice and wine to find on our arrival, a nice touch. The property location is ideal for exploring the South Lakes area and The Furness Peninsular and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.
A beautiful property in a lovley location walkable to Windermere. The house was really comfortable and the lovely huge kitchen diner was the centre of the home. The bedroom’s were all beautiful and en-suite bathrooms a treat. It was well equipped with plenty of pots, pans and utensils. The fire doors were very heavy to open especially for the older members of our party. The garden was great Fi the dogs once we had temporary fixed the gaps, it would have been perfect if this was fixed by the owners. All in all a fabulous location and property with everything you could need.
This is a lovely cottage with a path direct to Coniston Water with a small beach, and a grassy area for relaxing. It is very tranquil. Some of he grounds are wooded. There is a little piece of ground behind the cottage with barbecue and picnic table. However, because the weather was so good we were out walking most of the time. There is an excellent walk across the road onto Blawith Common....truly beautiful. The East of the lake is worth exploring and we had a good afternoon at Brantwood. There are a good choice of pubs with Coniston, Torver and Lowick nearby. The cottage has old-world cha...more
We had a lovely 4 night stay at this beautiful and scenic cottage with 2 adults and 2 children and our dog. Hosts were fantastic, with bacon, eggs, milk and artisan bread provided on our arrival. Cottage was very comfortable (beds especially) and location was great for exploring all spots around Lake Windermere and very close to Kendal.
The cottage was immaculate home from home. Could not fault it. Ings central to all main tourist attractions also lovely walks. If I had one negative it would be that it was supposed to be dog friendly. The garden shared and not totally secure. Also you have steps up to patio and little grassed area with at least a 7ft drop. We had to be with our dog on a lead as he thought it would be good to try and jump off the wall and also get into the field with the sheep. Would we go again yes, but not with the dog. Again lovely central home from home.
This is a great place to stay. Everything was just right and when we liked... Location near the lakes, quiet village with loads of amenities eg Coop round the corner. Kitchen was very well appointed, sharp knives, loads of cutlery and crockery, everything we needed and more (eg nut crackers and in ear thermometer) Loved that every room had en suite and was so clean and tidy. Well done team. Three things I'd suggest. 1. Many times tripped over the step in the kitchen. Needs a line painting on it or something. 2. Several times we banged our heads coming down the stairs from the two room...more
Lovely small cottage in great location. Immaculately clean and well equipped kitchen. Tight driveway / down a narrow back road but this was communicated by the host in advance. Only negative was that we found the mattress uncomfortable.
We had a lovely holiday at Rose Barn. We appreciated the little extra such as toys and games for the children. The kitchen was equipped with high quality pots and pans that did not stick! Everything worked well. Very relaxing for parents and grandparents and exciting for children. This was one of the best equipped property we have rented.
This was our 3rd time at Whitecross bay (although the first time using Tarn & Fell), and this was the best lodge yet! The location was really quiet, and relatively private for a park like this. The lodge was really well equipped with everything you need, and felt very comfortable - like a home from home. My only suggestion would be to consider screening behind the hot tub for a bit more privacy although the area was so quiet it wasn't much of an issue.
Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of staying at 1 Brathay Fell. It is the most beautiful and comfortable place to stay. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the Lake District.
The cottage itself is located in the centre of Hawkshead; only a short stroll to the amenities. It was nice and clean when we got there & there was a welcome gift waiting for us - yum! The cottage is well equipped, everything you would want for a short break, including kitchen foil for sarnies! The stove in the living room is lovely, but only just enough room to sit 5 of us comfortably on the sofas. The sofas are a bit worn, but still ok for the price of the property. Underfloor heating was very welcome!
