Stayed at Dunain Croy farm house with some friends for a 60th birthday getaway. The house is so welcoming, comfortable and in an idyllic setting. We loved the cosy evenings with the log burner lit and toasting marshmallows around the fire pit in the garden. The house is right on the canal and surrounded by fields and trees. We were visited by deer and pheasants and even by the Aurora on our last night. The house had plenty of space and all mod cons. Glen View exceeded our expectations. A very high spec and spotlessly clean cottage, very well equipped and in a perfect location. Inverness is only 10 minutes away but you feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of a town. So many places to visit with wonderful scenery. The owners are very helpful too. Definitely deserves 5 stars.
Loch Ness Escapes have the most wonderful selection of holiday homes. Middleton Farmhouse is another. Set in a very large garden, the views are stunning and with dogs, you can just go through the gate at the bottom of the garden and a short walk takes you to Lochend. Inside the Farmhouse is no disappointment. The interior decor is extremely tasteful; the accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. 3 well proportioned bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, all made up with beautiful linen. We have stayed in the cottage every year for the past 5 years and it never disappoints. The location is perfect if you want privacy and a base to visit the area. The accommodation is of the highest standard and the team are super responsive if you have questions or need anything. It had a completely enclosed large garden which is great if you have a dog with you. We will be back again.
Just returned from a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage. The location is stunning and the cottage is so pretty. Every amenity is provided and lots of extra touches. Especially useful for us were the stair gates both at the top and bottom of the stairs which takes the worry away when you have toddlers (no doubt this would also be useful for those with dogs). Towels for outside and robes for everyone was a great benefit. The cottage was warm and cosy and the garden was also a great addition as we had some sunshine so it was great to sit outside. Beautifully furnished and well equipped cottage in wonderfully peaceful countryside, yet only minutes by car from Inverness and Loch Ness. Great location, lovely views from the garden and brilliant walks for our dog straight out from the cottage into the adjacent woods. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
