My friends and I had a great weekend here, it’s so peaceful and calming. Great walks around Snape too.
The apartment was so comfortable and relaxing. Huge bed with top quality bedding. Comfy sofa which was perfect as we had booked a few days away to relax after I had some minor surgery. Kitchen had all the mod cons and all the pots and pans etc were clean and in good condition. We were lucky with the weather so the outside terrace was an added bonus. We will definitely look to be staying again. Plenty to do and see in the Maltings as long as you don’t look at the prices too much!!
Snape Bridge House is a lovely property. Plenty of room - especially if you bring your musical instruments! The garden is fantastic; we played all sorts of family fun games there. Looking forward to our next stay!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Snape. The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully appointed. A great place to stay and explore this lovely part of Suffolk.
We stay at the Maltings twice a year because we enjoy it so much and this October's visit was no different. Great location, excellent facilities on site and lovely walks nearby. There is nothing more beautiful that Snape Marsh for an early morning walk just yards from the front door followed by delicious breakfast and coffee from Malt cafe.
Malt Cottage is a perfect self-catering venue for visiting Snape and the surrounding area. The cottage is always beautifully presented, parking is provided, and there are excellent facilities available on-site at The Maltings. Highly recommended.
We were delighted with the property itself, which is spacious, tasteful and interesting- we loved the books! Having two lavatories and two wash basins is very civilised. Our only reservation was with some of the kitchen equipment. The cooker is somewhat antiquated: the control knobs are no longer clearly marked, and the oven door is difficult to open. We were also disappointed that there is no dishwasher. It’s a shame to spend holiday time doing the washing up! Despite this, we very much hope to return.
We had a lovey few days at Smugglers Cottage. The only challenges were the stairs which were a bit steep for our ageing knees, and the television which had a very weak signal so took a long time to finally tune in. Otherwise all was comfortable and well provided for.
Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Secure parking for cars. Great location for visiting nearby towns and villages. Enjoyed visiting the on site galleries and took in a concert to see Laura Mvula, fantastic venue and acoustics. Just one problem was excessive build-up of lime scale on kitchen tap.
This was a return visit for us. Another great stay. We loved wandering around the gardens, looking at the beautiful planting.
Practicsl feed back for you: very much enjoyed my stay BUT,as weather had turned cold there was no heating apart from freestanding heater and heater in bathroom though heated rail not working. The instructions for heatung radiators needs simplifying ! For your information I have stayed/visited The Maltings many times but I was carless on this occasion unfortunately didn't do one of my favourite walks to Iken Church though Aldeburgh has wonderful walks as I have visited frequently and also stayed at the Red House. Our second stay at Snape Maltings. Clean, comfortable accommodation, beautiful location. Do wish there were concerts there all year!
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at No: 17. It is now like a second home. Nicely decorated and homely. We dont really use the appliances but the cooker and hob are of good quality. Wifi is good, selection on tv plentiful. It suits as a base as it is easy to get around the county (coast or countryside). I have no doubt we will be back for our annual visit
