We found Bowhill House last year whilst visiting Peebles and were so impressed with the estate and what it had to offer that it was fantastic when we found that properties were available for holiday let’s which fitted our needs. The Bothy is situated in a quiet courtyard at Bowhill House, entranced by a few steps with handrail. It is furnished to a high standard, clean and well kitted out with all the modern conveniences, microwave, dishwasher, washer, fridge freezer, tv etc., and a good supply of kitchen equipment. The Clock tower flat that we stayed in was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. The views were beautiful and the quietness was bliss. Highly recommended for a stay in the Borders. There are lots of interesting things to visit but the biggest surprise for us was the Great Scottish Tapestry in Galashiels which is well worth a visit and is within easy reach and surprisingly unadvertised as far as we could see as we just happened to stumble across it !
