Stayed here whilst we were working on the island. It's a beautiful house, in a great location close to town. Couldn't fault anything about the property and the owners were fantatstic and allowed us to change dates at the last minute. We'll definitiely stay here again.
We stayed for 6 nights at Kirkquoy. The location is good for exploring the island, probably about 15 minute drive to Kirkwall but being rural suited our needs. The accommodation was spotless, well equipped with a beautiful view of Loch Harray. Lots of bird & other wildlife to see in the fields in front. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

Great time at Burrian and central location. Cottage well appointed but could do with more crockery and cutlery as there is only enough for 1 meal if 5 are staying.
We enjoyed our 6 night stay in this spacious holiday house. The lounge is well appointed with a lovely view, good to spend time in when the weather is inclement! The bed was comfortable and the shower in the ensuite is excellent.
The location is just superb. I have been visiting Orkney for 35 years for business and pleasure, sometimes twice a year, and this has to be amongst the best locations. I think the directions need to be improved and the wi fi password given in the 'welcome' email is incorrect. There is a card in the lounge with the correct details which I found after waiting a lot of time. See below for my comments on the quite useless wi fi. The kitchen/diner is well stocked with crockery, glassware, pots, pans and utensils. Indeed, the best stocked I have ever stayed at. Usually I end up buying a couple...more
The apartment was spacious with most of the necessary items for a comfortable stay. A few additions would be good though and I’ll send details to the letting agent. Main things - the welcome folder was sadly lacking in important information and there is no freezer compartment in the fridge. We paid a good price for this so expected better. On the positive side it’s a lovely old building and reasonably well furnished in a great central location.
