The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Great location right on the river. Only thing that could have been better was the fishing but the storm and strong tides saw to that.
Third time staying here. I take my small boat to explore the river and catch plenty of fish. Both my wife and I find it completely refreshing staying here and is like a second home. We love it.
We found Ferry Lodge absolutely wonderful, location perfect, so much so we have booked again for next year. The Lodge was very well equipped and spotless. The beds and bedding were superb.
Everything about this place pleases! Very spacious, clean and well equipped. The surroundings are beautiful and the lodge itself was very comfortable. They even supplied a basket full of treats, toys and blankets for our little French bulldog! A fabulous place to stay! To top it all our hostess Tina is super friendly and helpful.
Our stay was amazing due to high standard of cottage . Very quiet and peaceful and well Located for visiting other places of interest and the train from Brundall to Norwich is so efficient and cost effective
The cabin was exceptionally clean with all the utensils and facilities in very good order. The only minor niggles were around lighting which was either full ceiling lamps which were very bright or one lamp in the living area, meaning reading at night was impossible. Some dimming ceiling lights or more table lamps would be better. Access to the river was excellent, providing a very easy platform for embarking and disembarking the boat. The instructions for access and facilities were clear and everything was as expected.
Sue and I had been to Dinky Daze previously so we already knew the lodge was clean and comfortable for couples. Since our last visit the lodge entry has benefitted from new boarding giving a step free access. Easy to park car as well as entry drive is wide. Shingle on drive is mud free so access is very easy. We lit the log burner every evening so nice and cosy. If you are a mobile couple it’s just a few minutes walk to the rail station so a day out in Norwich or Yarmouth without the car is a nice easy journey. Would recommend the lodge as it was very clean and easy to access.
Lovely property, Furniture is good quality. Good for dogs. Enjoyed sitting in the pagoda and on the decking. Great views from the upstairs lounge and the dining table. Tina the Manager was very helpful and changed towels for us as we stayed for 3 weeks. Used the takeaways it is a shame the fish shop is closing end of March 2026. The White Heron restaurant and The Hermitage in Acle were both very good.
We had another fabulous stay with Norfolk holiday lodges, our 7th, with more booked. River view is beautiful. It's has everything you could need apart from a washing machine and a 3rd bedroom for when the family tag along, but that's just my preference. The lodge is bigger than we expected, very spacious, especially the kitchen. It has plenty of cupboard space for food and supplies. Cleaning is always as expected, perfect, with plenty of products to last the holiday. We had very high tides a couple of days with flooding onto the lawn but the lodge was safe and warm. An excellent lodge that was comfortable for all six visitors. Great fishing especially in the evening. Great position.
