Great location and very clean Lodge. Everything you need and a superb location overlooking river. Plenty of wildlife to watch, even a kingfisher to watch in the mornings. Fishing was also good. Booking was easy, had to phone for some help when booking and was helped by Tina who sorted everything out. Will definitely return for another stay.
Another lovely stay at Ferry Lodge, and will not be our last. Excellent customer service as always from the lovely Tina. Looking forward to booking our return next year
Our second short stay with Norfolk Holiday Lodges this year and we are already looking to book next year for a longer stay. Both Lodges we stayed in were spotlessly clean, well fitted out and in a beautiful location. Our first stay was in River Retreat and we were so impressed with everything we managed to get an extra day stay. When we got home we booked another weekend this time with the Flag house and like River retreat it was spotless through out it had everything we could possibly want and an excellent view of the main river. I cannot praise this holiday firm enough. Tina was a great hel...more
We loved our week here. I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere as tranquil. Sitting on the deck watching the river, the boats and the wildlife was very relaxing. We saw Heron, kingfishers, swans and a variety of waterfowl. We ate good pub grub at the White Heron and had a very good takeaway from The Bay leaf Indian restaurant. There is a very good cafe on the marina for bacon baps and fresh bread and pastries and the train into Norwich takes 10 minutes. A really good spot from which to explore the Broads and parts of the lovely Norfolk coast.
Lovely property, beautiful location, lively to watch boats and relax. Very comfortable inside, this is the 3rd property we have been to with Norfolk Holiday lodges, will definitely return
We felt that some small adjustments would improve the accommodation such as: a small shelf above the wash hand basin; a chair in the bedrooms and some hanging hooks in the bathroom and bedrooms. The only hooks were by the front door and directly above electrical sockets.
Dinky Daze is a comfortable lodge for 2. Nice easy access to the lodge with direct car parking at the lodge. We liked the simplicity of the facilities. No clutter, just all the things you need and no more. Clean loo and shower, comfortable bed. The river frontage has enough seating and the lodge is nice and level ( two steps in only ). If you like to travel into Norwich or Yarmouth for a day out then it’s just a short walk to the train station. Train is easy route and you don’t have to worry about city centre parking.
Lovely, clean lodge, plenty of space and comfortable. Very peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped but one thing we missed was an oven dish. If you’re planning on fishing from the garden… it’s not worth it. Very few fish and all small, other families from neighbouring lodges also commented on this. Food at the White Heron pub at the entrance to the marina was nice and the staff were lovely. Had takeaways from the Bay Leaf Indian and New World Chinese, both were very good. Would book again but also hire a boat to be able to move along the river to better fishing locations.
An excellent lodge that was comfortable for all six visitors. Great fishing especially in the evening. Great position.
My husband and son not impressed as no fish but lodge was great but the point is that’s why they chose this lodge for the fishing
