Couldn’t fault this beautiful lodge at all! We were more than happy as soon as we arrived, such a clean, cosy, modern place to stay and would recommend to anyone. Incredible value!

The lodge was absolutely fantastic, so clean and had everything we needed. Brilliant location to explore the lovely surroundings, very close to Windermere. We will definitely be returning!

We have just spent our third visit to High Borrans in "GROVE". We love these lodges so much! They are furnished to the highest degree by Cathy and are a real luxury bolt hole for peace and tranquillity. It is hard to imagine they are only a short drive down country lanes to the hustle and bustle of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. The lodges are so warm and comfortable and the bathroom is furnished with a bath and lovely walk-in shower with luxurious toiletries, and have everything you could possibly want for your stay. Cathy and team are always on hand if you need information and really make your stay special.
We will definitely return again next year.

Staying at the ‘Grove’ lodge was like a home from home, very clean and tidy, all the kitchen utensils you’d need to cook and prepare food. Cathy came to say hi to us when we settled in and she was very friendly and welcoming asking if we needed anything and informed us of an extended check out time as no one was in the following day! Loved our stay here and the location is 10 mins from Windermere, just a short drive, rained quite a bit when we stayed so couldn’t take advantage of the location for walking but can wait to return again!

What a lovely place to stay, The lodge was perfect with everything you need. Very relaxing and it was lovely to see the sheep wondering around with the baby.

We chose The Grove at High Borrans for a short break for our 65th birthdays. What a fabulous choice!! The "couples only" aspect was a huge factor in choosing High Borrans and we were certainly not disappointed, The Lodge was absolutely spotlessly clean and extremely tastefully furnished. The bathroom was exquisite with both a deep bath and large walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding to the highest standard. With a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area, this lodge was a most welcome home from home in lovely surroundings. The farm animals and farm sounds added to the idyll of this peaceful rural retreat, We have stayed in the Lake District in different locations/accommodations for several years and The Grove has become our favourite of all. With Windermere and Ambleside only a short drive away we will definitely be returning here in the future. Thankyou to Cathy for the personal touches such as the lovely individual visitor book and the fascinating DVD of life at High Borrans Farm - very interesting! It is obvious you have had the guests first and foremost in your mind when creating the lodges.

The lodge was in perfect condition when we arrived and it was very clean. It was a cosy and comfortable stay and everything we needed to be able to have a great stay was provided. The arrival information received prior to our stay was super useful and everything was thoroughly explained. The lodge itself is beautiful and modern, it’s the perfect place to stay as it’s in a great location and not far from Windermere Lakes and surrounding areas. We had an incredible and relaxin stay, thank you!

Fantastic, very well equipped cabin in lovely, peaceful location. Lots of fabulous walking (and off road cycling) from the cabin without having to drive anywhere. Windermere only a short trip away for supplies. Hope to revisit and have recommended it to others.
