The Farmhouse and Studio, set within a ten-acre smallholding, is a perfect base for families and friends looking to relax and explore the Northumberland countryside. With the charming Georgian farmhouse sleeping ten and the addition of the Studio sleeping two, space and comfort are aplenty for everyone to enjoy.

A perfect farmhouse for pre-wedding preparations! Spacious, stunning scenery, well equipped, comfy!

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding in Jesmond Parish church and then the reception at Vallum Farm and it was perfect!
The back room was ideal for preparing flowers.
The kitchen was well equipped and seating area spacious and comfortable for informal meals for 8 or more. The round dining table was similarly lovely for more formal meals for 10.
The staircase was beautiful for the wedding dress reveal!
The master bedroom was used for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in with lots of natural light, plug sockets and space plus gorgeous views across the countryside and an amazing backdrop for photos.
All the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.
The lounge was perfect for relaxing the day after the wedding… especially with the log burner. And those that could play enjoyed the piano.
The Studio was a perfect retreat - separate enough to offer privacy but close enough to feel part of things.

Sam and Vicky were also quick to respond on the phone when we had an issue with the keysafe!

For me the incredible views from every window had to also be a highlight.
We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return to relive the happy memories made at Shellbraes.
