Stunningly beautiful place for accommodation and surroundings. The perfect getaway. Heaven!!!. Bliss.
The Lodge was a most enjoyable experience. My wife and I invited my sister-in-law to join uys in a short stay at Keswick whilst she visited from Australia. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well appointed the Lodges were in this resort. I don't think there was anything missing in regard to comfort, cleanliness, amenities and service at the main reception. We experienced a beautiful ambiance in the Lodge.Good location in respect to the Lakes area. Very welcoming to come home to after a busy day out. Hard to comment any negativity in relation to this Lodge.
Absolutely gorgeous lodge, one of the best on the site. Lovely view, all gadgets you could possible need!
We spent the weekend at mere lodge recently. On arrival check in was fast and easy and we were given clear directions to the lodge. The lodge itself is a few minutes walk fro the onsite bar, restaurant and shop and is right on the edge on the lakeside. In our opinion it was the best situated lodge on the whole site. Once inside the lodge we were blown away by the interior and the view from the full length windows. Two good sized bedrooms, one en suite with a rainfall shower. Everything that we could possibly need was provided - towels, a well equipped kitchen, a washer dryer. Even board games,...more
Full marks to Sunnybank lodge. It is situated in serene atmosphere with excellent view overlooking green mountains surrounding the valley. We were welcomed with the basket of goodies - complementary chocolates, biscuits, short bread and flavored rose in it. The decoration of the lodge was very homely. I would say it had all that a family needs with fantastic modern facilities. The location is not far from windmere which is very popular tourist destination but at the same time it is far from the populated area of lake district which provides the perfect blend. It felt very homely. Lodge had all...more
My husband and I loved it at this lodge. It was very comfortable and clean. It was like home from home. We settled down as soon as we arrived. Our dog settled in straight away as well. Limefitt park was very clean and excellent facilities for our dog including a dog area for her to have a run round. Would definitely recommend this lodge and park.
Excellent stay at the loughrigg lodge, perfect location for our dads 60th birthday celebrations. Perfect size for our family of four, modern interior and very clean. We will definitely be booking again .
Stayed for 3 nights after getting married in Gretna Green and it was lovely! Perfectly cosy for two and good location for exploring the Lakes!
Lovely place, great location, will need a car if you want to get anywhere, lodges were clean and modern and had everything you need. Spa was lovely too.
excellent stay will be returning stayed at this park for over 40 years good location nice and quiet
We stayed at the Fell Foot lodge at Limefitt and it was lovely. The park itself is in a great location for walks especially to a local pub called the Mortal Man. The lodge itself was very clean, had everything you needed and an added hot tub bonus. The lodge itself is very homely in terms of décor with it being someone's holiday let but had everything you could need. The neighbours on site were very friendly and offered advise on places to go and walks to take. We didn't visit the onsite put but it always seemed busy. Dog friendly too which was an added bonus.
Our lodge was immaculate, and even though dog friendly there were no dog smells, it just smelt clean and fresh. The outside terrace was huge and perfect for sitting out during the day or in the evening. The bathroom and ensuite were both modern and clean and the bedrooms fabulous, clean and spacious.
The lodge is very well presented and decorated nicely throughout, good location with lovely wooded areas around with an abundance of wildlife. Frequently had deer by the lodge. Plan to return soon
Great lodge for the family clean and a well stocked kitchen. Great ensuite shower and comfy beds. The management company are great and everything is simple to book and they are there on hand if needed
We were so pleased with this cabin we have booked it already for next year. It's very modern, clean and the bedrooms being in opposite ends of the cabin, with their own bathrooms was great for us as we took my dad with us, so he had his own privacy as well as us. The outside decking area is a suntrap and we had amazing weather to enjoy the hot tub and decking area all week.
This is a great dog friendly lodge for a couple like us. We came for a weekend, regular visitors to the lakes and always book through Lake District holidays. We are never disappointed st the standard of the lodges. This lodge had everything and was really well thought out! We had great weather, loved sitting on the decking, stream right at the side, TV and a glass of wine !
Elder lodge is sn excellent.lodge with everything provided for the new hot tub is a great addition to the lodge and as for.animal friendly dogs are catered for above and beyond what was expected cant wait for another visit !!!
Lovely comfortable & spacious lodge , enjoyed a lovely family holiday , this is the 2nd time we have stayed at white cross bay & both times we have had a lovely holiday , i would definitley recommend this site & lodge to anyone looking for a some where to stay in the lakes.
Second time we have stayed aw Whitecross Bay never disappointed excellent site and excellent facilities. The lodges have everything you need it's home from home
Had a fantastic stay will be going back hot tub was lovely the lodge is so cosy and homely didn't want to leave
Lovely clean and well equipped lodge. Ideal base to explore the Lake District. Plenty of attractions locally and 2 lovely pubs within walking distance that serve excellent food.
I will return to this property it was a great few days really relaxing and would recommend to anyone.
A lovely place to stay, location fabulous. Fantastic lodge had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
First time staying here but so glad chose this park and this lodge. Windermere View lived up to its name and was very comfortable and well equipped inside and out. The hot tub was superb and even had a barbecue and as we were lucky with sunshine this made for lovely evenings. There was a large shade/umbrella over the tub in case needed. The placement of the lodges afforded privacy too so never felt overlooked. Would highly recommend and would love to go again.
Excellent accommodation In a beautiful location and a great base to explore the surrounding areas, the only disappointment for us was the weather, heavy rain for most of our stay but a great pub on site, pity it didn't open lunch times mid week and a limited menu, we will definitely stay there again
A lovely lodge , more basic than other lodges we have stayed in ,but nice and spacious and well maintained , lovely position in the park with excellent views - which they don't all have
This was our second stay in Damson Lodge and once again it was excellent. We couldn't have asked for better weather and even our dog found a new lease of life. We also discovered two excellent places to eat which are both dog friendly and the food was superb. Pedros which is about a 10 minute walk from the park and The Mortal Man at Troutbeck. Both are highly recommended. The Lodge itself yet again was a pleasure to stay in and the hot tub an added bonus. Can't wait to visit again next year.
This lodge is very comfortable with first class furnishings, however we felt let down by the tight timescales on arrival nd departure, This makes it I feel overpriced eg 4 nights turns into 3 nd a bit days , quite expensive really ?? The sharing of information / communication between the reception / park nd the chalet staff is sadly lacking , on a positive note ou can't beat th area, beautiful!!
Our stay at Herdwick lodge was wonderful, The views from the lodge was beautifully breathtaking and we had great weather for it, waking up early to hear all the different sounds of nature was enjoyable and it was a delight to also see the deer. The lodge was immaculate and had everything we needed. The spar bath was great after a long walk! The site was very clean and quiet, and we had a great time with the family and our grandsons who loved the big playing field, park and the stream although we were disappointed we couldn't get into the river pool due to a wasps nest near the entrance. The ...more
Very nice modern Chalet in a good position, very well equipped kitchen ( if you`ve forgotten something it`s probably there ) :)
Had a 4 night stay in Selamat Lodge which was only spoilt by the inclement weather. The lodge has everything needed for a stay of this length and we enjoyed the very clean Hot Tub even though it rained most of our stay. The site, White Cross Bay, has everything you need and also has a nice wooded area to let the dogs off their leads. It's also well placed for Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. I must mention the team at Lake District Holiday Lodges, for their outstanding customer service from booking to departure and we will certainly book this lodge again through them. Hopefully next time...more
This lodge holiday was fantastic. The lodge was well equipped with everything you could need and felt very homely. Great location on the site as quiet, but close to the on site facilities. Highly recommend a stay here and would definitely return.
Great lodge, great location, Haybarn was great, good food and freindly staff, local walks and surrounding areas were perfect for us. Definitely will visit again.
Stayed on White Cross Bay a few times now and this lodge is my favourite of the ones Ive stayed in. Well equipped, clean and great position in the park. The large outdoor area was a great suntrap, getting the sun late into the evening! Will happily return to this lodge in the future.
Excellent lodge, very clean and comfortable with everything you need whilst on holidays a great location on a very well kept site. . This was our second stay in this lodge and will definitely return again.
The lodge is situated by the lake. It is well equipped and spotlessly clean. Added bonus for us is it is dog friendly. Highly recommended. White cross bay itself is clean and has a range of amenities. I would consider it dog 'tolerant' rather than dog friendly. No enclosed area to let dogs off lead and dogs not allowed in the bar etc., unlike neighbouring resorts (much better equipped and dog friendly).
Really enjoyed our stay, good location in a very well equipped cabin. Central location for visits to the lakes and local towns.
We had a wonderful stay at Lakeland View and are already planning our return visit! The lodge was very clean and well kept. The little personal touches made our stay so very special. Not to forget...the hot tub! A fab addition to soak in morning, day and night - the thunderstorm was an added bonus. Thank you for a lovely, well-earned break. See you again in the very near future. Nadene & Dan :-) x
Amazing week spent in the Lake District! Would recommend this holiday park to anyone ranging from couples to large family's. Advantages: >Clean and tidy (the actual park and lodge) >Reception was fast service >Staff very friendly >Lodge in good condition and hot tub >A lot of activities to do for everyone >Nemoruos walk ways to explore >Overall a fantastic experience and we will be coming back next year. The only two disadvantages is the park map as it's not very clear to understand where your lodge is, also some sign posts were missing in the park to direct you to where you ne...more
We found the lodge extremely comfortable and the facilities were more than adequate. Thank you to the owners of the lodge as their decorations were certainly cheerful and made Christmas away from home "very homely" with the large Christmas tree and lovely toys and games to satisfy all ages. Thank you and maybe one day 'we'll be back'.
This was our 3rd visit to Mountain View and we had a wonderful time, the weather was glorious and whilst there were people around the stay felt very relaxing and quiet. The children enjoyed the Aqua jets in the pool and we enjoyed relaxing on the veranda. the lodge has everything needed for a very comfortable stay.
The lodge was very clean and well kitted out. We loved the hot tub and locationwas close to the lake and the communal areas but not too close so that it felt really peaceful. The only downside was that the mattresses were very hard to the point of being uncomfortable. Had to resort to sleeping on a duvet to cushion the mattress - a comfy mattress topper would make all the difference
Second time back, home from home lovely lodge, hot tub brilliant, would recommend to others and would go back.
Excellent lodge in great position, grandson loved hot tub hope to return soon. Our springer loved it too recommend visit to Brock Hole walking distance and lots to do.
Had a lovely stay in Latterbarrow lodge over may half term. The location is great and lodge was well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and we have already booked to go back next year.
We were very happy with the lodge. Very well cleaned and a very comfortable space. Very spacious and lovely decor.
The lodge was excellent, better than expected, well equipped and very comfortable. We arrived early and had no issues checking in given our early arrival. The location was picturesque and enough space between lodges to not feel overcrowded. It was perfect as close to Windemere but gave us the respite we also needed.
We had a wonderful stay at Swan Lodge - loved every minute! The lodge is in a lovely location, feels quite secluded and is near the gorgeous Marina. Definitely one of the best lodges we saw on the site. I was under the impression, due to the first picture shown, that there was a BBQ at the lodge. However, there isn't which was a little disappointing, especially as we ended up with lovely weather! Loved the Hot Tub, was so easy to use and was nice and clean - maybe a net provided to fish out the tree bits which fall from above but otherwise it was spotless. We would definitely be back here!
We loved this lodge and would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody who wants a holiday in a beautiful lodge with amazing views across to Troutbeck.
Overall satisfied and would return, only feedback and is feedback, not a complaint as would return, something to try prevent the flies, also the kids football pitch needs some TLC to make the experience better for us footballers. Nice lodge, hot tub makes it nicer too :-)
Lodge has everything you would need, including an en-suit and walk in wardrobe. Its not hard to find and in a nice quiet area, be aware that its not within walking distance of any shops or pubs, but 10mins in the car will get you there.
Lodge is on corner ploy a couple of minutes from club house which was handy for a drink and food. Decking at front of lodge in shade most afternoons a bit of noise from main road. lodge was in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. Two sofas one very comfortable double bed a bit to firm for our liking. Overall very good and reasonably priced would recommend.
Great site, lovely accommodation in beautiful setting. Ideal for families. Would definitely return & recommend to others
We loved staying in the lodge. It provided us with all the home comforts we needed in a lovely location. Within easy walking distance of all the amenities. Great service, lovely site and first class value for money accomodation in a lovely location.
The location was great close to windermere centre and to many local activity areas. View from the lodge was mesmeric. Definitely would stay here again.
A most enjoyable short break. The lodge was everything we expected. The on site restaurant had a good selection of reasonably priced meals.
Although It is a dog friendly site I was disappointed there was no enclosed dog exercise area apart from this we enjoyed our stay
We have stayed at Limefitt several times in different lodges and have always found the accommodation to be of a high standard, as was Lavender Lodge, and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I have full confidence that we will enjoy our stay when we book at Limefitt.
Only negative if it is a negative was small kitchen with so much equipment in it that there was little room for groceries. Main bedroom has a wardrobe that is solely for owners but it did not have an impact on our stay.
Great location, Great site,Great lodge! Fantastic place to base yourself for sightseeing in the lakes!
We had Rowan Lodge for a week and it was super. Lovely spot on the edge of the site next to the woodland. Badgers every night and lots of birds. Great views, clean functional accommodation made us feel so cosy. Highly recommended
We had a great weekend in Lowther Brow with our dog. the lodge was well equipped and comfortable and the park had great amenities including its own dog friendly pub that did great food and it's own fenced off dog exercising area.
The lodge is pristine. The bed in the main bedroom was the comfiest we have ever slept in. We used the leisure facilities which were spotless, I am normally so fussy about the cleanliness of the swimming pool and showers but these were pristine. The food at the on site restaurant was gorgeous, we ate there twice. The entertainment for the children is excellent, our daughter loved it. The use of the hot tub was great. We would definitely return to this lodge!!
This is a lovely lodge in an ideal central location. The addition of a hot tub is great after a days walking.
Stayed for 3 nights excellent stay, hot tub so relaxing, cabin spotlessly clean and well looked after. The off site swimming baths was complementary and was amazing only a five minute walk.White cross bay was stunning ,the staff very helpful and polite.Would definitely book again.
Great location fantastic surroundings and views Everything you needed for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Lake District .
We spent a fabulous week in our favourite part of the country. The lodge was well equipped and in a very pleasing position on the site. Convenient for the restaurant/deli and also the edge of the lake to admire the beautiful views. Only a few minutes walk into Bowness to enjoy the variety of cafes/restaurants. The site is very child friendly; our own young children had a lovely time and were very sad to leave.
Enjoyed our stay. Excellent location, peaceful and easily accessible to main attractions etc. Cabin size good for two but was quite dated, ready for a revamp and taking up a notch or two re decor and colour scheme. Everything on hand that we needed - would recommend a stay on the site any time .
Really nice site could do with a few more signs to find our lodge .Really helpful staff from reception to bar very clean site never seen one bit of litter around the site would stay again
The lodge was immaculate when we arrived. It was all very clean and comfortable and we had such a wonderful weekend. The hot tub was fantastic and the kitchen provided us with all the utensils we needed. I would highly recommend staying at striding edge, I could not fault this lodge and it was excellent value for money.
on returning to a site and lodge we have previously stayed in ,in this beautiful part of the lake district we were disappointed that after a long drive on a hot day , due to a miscommunication our property had not received its pre arrival clean, however this was soon remedied by the efficient staff on reception and the cleaning staff they contacted. being seasoned travellers to this area we did not let this detract from our stay and quickly put it behind us ,and carried on as usual enjoying a lovely stay in our favourite part of the country, and this wont put us off returning to the same site ...more
We had a fantastic stay at robin view in limefitt park, the location is great with brilliant views, the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The on site facilities are really good with the haybarn inn being really welcoming and providing great food n drink.
We had a wonderful stay at Grizedale Lodge. As it happens the weather was glorious. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, modern and extremely comfortable. We will certainly be returning soon. Thank you
A beautiful lodge which has everything you need. Was a pity we couldn't use the hot tub while we were there due to it needing a part. Would definitely stay there again.
Had a great time lodge was spot on the sight is well managed and clean internet connection not brilliant but other than that everything you need for a relaxing break
Just returned from a fabulous break at Jinny spinner lodge. We have stayed at the park before but this was our first stay at this lodge. The lodge was clean and well equipped. The lodge location was idyllic and really peaceful and was just what we needed to get away from it all. We can't wait for our next stay here again.
A lovely lodge but when we arrived at 3pm the cleaner and hot tub guy were still there. We were told to leave the hot tub for one hour but had to ring for the hot tub man to come out as it was over heating. The lodge and hot tub should have ready at the stated time 3pm. Good facilities otherwise.
We had a great stay at this lodge it was spotless clean and tidy & hot tub is lovely we will be back
Was a lovely cabin we stayed in good veiw off the lake . Will definitely be staying again . The peace and quite was just what we needed ..
I give a 5 star recommendation. My daughter and l loved the short stay at Woodmere Lodge. The lodge was clean, homely and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. It was good to have both the ensuite and family bathrooms. The hot tub was hidden away in a private spot at the back of the lodge. The location was perfect for a short stroll to the lake or to the club house. Perfect location for a stroll to Brockhole, and short drive to Bowness, Windermere or Ambleside
The grounds at white cross bay were well kept the only problem was it wasn't in walking distance of anywhere to eat because we had a dog we couldn't go into the restaurant. The lodge was ok,it had everything you needed but could have done with a very good clean.
I would recommend staying at 9 beck side rest any time. I took my fiancé for her first get away without the kids and she really enjoyed it as did I. Excellent views from the top of the hills and not far to bowness in a car or taxi. We will be back again over the next year.
Woodland Beck was a beautiful lodge in a fantastic location, we had a lovely relaxed 2 night stay here and would definitely return & recommend to friend & family.
An amazing week stay! The view was breath taking waking up and having breakfast with the view of the lake was amazing and after a long day out sitting in the hot tub watching the little boats go past was really relaxing. We was worried for space as we was a family of 5 adults, a kid and our big dog but we had so much room in the lodge. We will be booking again soon with a couple of friends. The lounge had enough sofas for us all to sit down and we found games which my nephew really enjoyed. There was a few things that we didn't like: there was no coat hangers in none of the waredrobes and wasn...more
We visited Ruskin lodge for a weekend break for my 30th as I'm pregnant, the facilities were perfect and the lodge felt very homely. The site provides great service, ordering us taxis on the Saturday night to a local restaurant. The area is beautiful and I would recommend having a walk round the park and to the lake
Stayed at ridgeway lodge for 7 nights with my family and my sisters family. Loved whitecross bay, loved the location of the lodge and enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The lodge is large with all the home comforts and was well equipped to cook every night for the family. There are a few things that are now looking a little tired - the bathrooms have damp and need redecorating, the sun lounger chairs were rusty and could have a better kettle and toaster. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend Lake District lodges .
Very easy to book through lakedistrictlodges, as it is every year. Absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at Hill Lodge. Spacious and very comfortable, a home from home with everything you could possibly need. Situated on a beautiful, quiet and very friendly park. We return to this park every year and have a very relaxing stay every time.
Perfect location and exactly what we wanted. Was slightly disappointed by the condition of some aspects like the bathroom floor and kitchen cabinets (the fridge tipped up every time we opened the door). Lovely to have the hot tub and the living area was nice and spacious.
We stayed in this cabin for 4 nights. It is in a lovely park just a short walk away from Windermere lake. The cabin is nice although it does feel outdated, the hot tub is an old model you cannot adjust the temperature meaning it gets cool very quickly and the chlorine tablet had not been changed leading us to think maybe the water hadn't been changed before our stay. It was clean enough although there were a lot of dust mites about so could maybe benefit from a deep clean. All utensils and provisions like toilet roll and bin bag etc were provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the valu...more
Badgers rest is a lovely lodge in a wonderful location, very spacious and adequately equipped. Does however need a little TLC. Could be a lot better. Plenty of room for a large family and dogs and very calming when inside.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin was right next to the amenities. It was clean and comfortable and well equipped. Great value for money. Will definately return.
White Cross Bay grounds, reception, bar and restaurant area was very clean and well kept, the staff were very pleasant at all times. Our first major disappointment was out of 3 bedrooms there was just nowhere to squeeze a travel cot in, our names and age brackets were given so they knew we had a 6 month baby. If we were told the bedrooms were so tiny and could not accommodate a travel cot we would certainly have cancelled even if we lost our deposit. The shower tiles in the en suite were really grotty, they had wet wall round some of the bathroom walls so why not inside the shower as well, it...more
This was our 2nd Visit to this Lodge like the first was a great stay close to the lake, the only downside at the site was we had a small dog which was not allowed in the bar area so we had to eat out due to the outside area not being fit for purpose when it's wet, the site lost a lot of money which we would of spent in house. We found a couple of great pubs which allowed dogs in they were the Waterside at Ambleside, the re-opened Queens Head on the Ulswatter Road just past the Limefitt site
Overall lodge was good but a little tired in places. Wallpaper was beginning to peel off walls and floor was shocking tbh.....that 'used' it was like walking on a trampoline ! However as I said overall the lodge was good and well positioned. Would we book again..? The sight defo, the lodge only if nothing else available.
