This was our second time staying at Beck of Beyond and again it was 10/10. I really cannot fault this accommodation for its location; level of attention to detail on equipment and items provided; it really does make for a relaxing stress free holiday. Our third stay is already booked for this year :0)
First time in the Lake District, perfect cabin, much bigger than expected and the bed was an absolute DREAM, especially when returning from long walks. Would highly recommend, perfectly situated as well, short walk from all the amenities and places you've likely booked to eat / drink
Beautiful cosy lodge like home from home central to everything very clean and tidy, we loved our stay and will definitely return
Immaculately clean, in a great location with lovely views. The lodge is very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. Would definitely come back here again.
We have stayed many times at Fallbarrow Lodge and enjoy our stay every time. It is in an easily accessible area of Bowness which is very useful. The Lodge is modern with every amenity you could need. Made to feel extremely welcome with lovely gifts each time. We will continue to stay as often as we can.
This is the best lodge we have stayed at for the view and location the decking area was great plentyof room, everything we needed was available, you can go on many walks straight from Limefitt Park which is in a stunning with location with children play area and dog walking field had an Amazing Time :-)
We had a great time staying at willow tree barn pod would love to go back again .Brian was very friendly and so was Winston the donkey.
We enjoyed our stay, it was a good base for exploring the area. Accommodation was spacious and we'll equipped with everything needed for our stay
We stayed for two nights and it was amazing. The location is perfect, quiet and remote but close enough to shops and restaurants. The lodge its self was just fab too. Comfortable and clean and very smart. Would definitely stay again.
Great setup and superb location. Perfect in every way, we will be back. Much Appreciated Roy, Sara and Eleanor
Had a wonderful two nights stay here at the Dell. Owners were both very friendly and made us feel welcome. Location is fantastic and the lodge was perfect. 100% recommend and looking to book again.
This is the second time staying at The Spinney, High Borrans. We were extremely pleased with the lodge once again. Lovely location and walks nearby. Very clean and well equipped lodge. Will be back.
Had an excellent 3 night stay at Elder Lodge with the family. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We brought a number of items with us to find everything was available to hand within the lodge.
Even though our stay was cut short due to going into tier 4 for the time we was there we found the lodge lovely comfy and pleasant hot tub was lovely what more can you ask would recommend and would stop there again.
Thanks for a wonderful break at Ambleside lodge, perfect location and will definitely return. Very private with stunning views, everything you need at hand. Our 4th time at limefitt and never disappoints. Hopefully will return in May or October, perfect location for walks & visiting nearby towns.
Bosuns lodge really is the perfect fit. Absolutely spotless in the perfect location for exploring the Lake District.
Chose this spot to be away from it all and it was.The cabin was nearly new and spotless when we arrived, only down side was the bed was very firm a bit too firm for our tastes however it did not detract from our enjoyment of break.
Louhrigg Lodge really is a home from home for our family. Homely, cosy, spacious, well equipped (although if you require a travel cot, you will need to take one of your own or you can hire one.) The MOST comfortable beds ever! The location is amazing, Limefitt Park has beautiful views especially at the children’s play area. The children’s play area is very good and well suited to both of my children who are aged, two and seven, they also have a football pitch. Limefitt Park is a short drive away from Windermere (I would definitely recommend Tree Top Trek- Windermere) This is an amazing day out...more
Good base for walking the surrounding area. Warm and cosy. Wife over the moon as always wanted to stay in a shepherd hut. I’m 6’1” and had loads of room.
Lodge was absolutely amazing and website stated it is suitable for couples - that's exactly that! Due to Covid circumstances very accurate instructions were left so there was no unneeded stress, which would benefit the most anxious future guests. The kitchen was well equipped with essentials but if you need iron anything, please bring an iron with you. If you decide not to cook there's plenty of restaurants with attentive staff to serve yummy food. It was first visit for us to Lake District area and we'd definitely come back. The location of Lodge was extremely convenient in getting to attract...more
Cottontail lodge provided lovely spacious accommodation just a short walk from the lake.I can’t think of any negatives and we will definitely book this lodge again in the future.
We have stayed on this site many times over the years in different areas off the site but this has to be one off the best locations for a lodge looking straight across the valley and up to wansfell pike We love walking but what a joy to come back to this lodge and views it provides . It’s definitely not wheel chair friendly because off the steps to climb at the front but these are needed to elevate you to the level that get you those fantastic views . We would definitely recommend this lodge and we will be back next year just hope it’s not booked up .
Glenridding Lodge was just lovely. Everything you’d need in a 2 bedroom lodge. The only negative I’d give is it doesn’t really suits 4 adults as the 2nd bedroom is tiny with twin beds. Me and my husband slept there, the beds were very comfortable but you couldn’t move once in the room. The main room however is huge with king bed, tv, plenty space and en-suite. I’d say perfect accommodation for a family of 4 or a couple on their own. The site itself is lovely, the lakeside is stunning. We went to Bowness one day and Ambleside another, both really nice places to see with lovely restaurants and s...more
Although we didn’t stay that long due to having to come home because of lockdown the time we was there was great the cabin/lodge was lovely very clean and looking on returning re booking this year.
This is our third stay at Fallbarrow Park but our first stay in Brook Lodge and using Lake District Lodge Holidays. The arrangements for access during the current restrictions worked well, receiving the access code exactly on time. The lodge was spotlessly clean and I think the cleaning staff should be commended for this. The welcome pack was also a lovely gesture and goes a long way in the positive impression of the service provides by Lake District Lodge Holidays. The only slight negative was a traces of damp in the on suite bathroom which hopefully can be easily rectified. We look forwa...more
We had a really lovely week at Froswick Lodge. The lodge is beautifully presented and well kept. It is in a great location on the park and we honestly didn’t see any other lodge we thought we would rather have stayed in. The views either side are just amazing. We would definitely return and would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful break in the Lake District. It is great for dogs too, our 12.5 year old labrador Dave absolutely loved it. Thank you!
We stayed at Daffodils Lodge over the Christmas week. On arrival we found the lodge to be clean and welcoming; easily meeting our expectations. The lodge is very spacious particularly in the open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen was well equipped and up to the task of cooking the Christmas lunch. The lodge is conveniently located close to the lake and the site facilities. We had no problems at the lodge and have already booked a return visit.
We stayed at Copse & was blown away it was even better than we’d imagined. Spotlessly clean bigger than we thought huge bed, huge shower, walk in wardrobe. Loved the Christmas tree that really made our holiday. Liked the idea of Netflix so Christmas movies was a must. Lovely walks right on your doorstep. Not too far away from Windermere & Ambleside but far enough away for us as we love quiet. It was so peaceful & quiet. Cathy the owner was lovely & we loved the fact it was on a farm. We loved it that much we booked again for next year.
Stunning week in White Cross Bay and one of the best lodges we have stayed in. Location is 5 star and we spent even in October several afternoons sitting with a glass of wine over looking Windermere. Lodge catered for our family needs, inclusive of two smaller children. We are In the restaurant on site almost daily and we’re pretty happy with food quality and service was excellent. Only issue was a few meals were cold on busy times in the bar it seemed. We will return!
Everything was very good would book again except the weather was poor but we still enjoyed our time away
We wanted a break away during these restrictive times and I found Somerford Lodge looked to meet our needs. We were not disappointed. It is in a great location, quite secluded and quiet very close to the Lake. Check in was a breeze as I got the keybox code 20 mins before we arrived on site, staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Parking next to the lodge, soon settled in and had a walk around the park. Everything was clean and tidy, the hot-tub was ready to go that evening. As the days are shortening the hot tub was to be the evening relaxation, great that it was sunk into the dec...more
Thie Loghey was the location of our weeks break in August. The view and location was stunning and the inside was every bit as good. The lodge was clean, bright and had everything we could have needed. Would highly recommend and think we will be returning soon.
A very pleasant stay Very clean and comfortable Everything you need is here Plenty of space in the lodge
This was our third time to visit the Lake District and our 2nd time staying at Limefitt Park. Limefitt for us is our favourite park, it is in a great location to walk the dog and is just a 10 min drive from Windermere centre and 15 mins from Bowness on Windermere (the lake) which again, provides a perfect setting for exploration with self drive electric boats to hire and plenty to see and do. The lodge was perfect for us, it was spacious, comfortable, clean and modern fitted with all the amenities needed and fully functional. There was plenty of storage and the direct access to the hot...more
This is the second time we’ve booked this lodge. Everything was perfect for us and no issues. The place was had been cleaned to a high standard and had everything you need. The hut tub was perfect and we really enjoyed it after a long walk.
Loved our stay at Fellhaven . The location was perfect. Views all round . Excellent accommodation. Very spacious and everything you need was provided . Only thing we found was the sofa not being comfortable, not that you need to be inside too often, but after a long days walking it would have been nice to relax a little better . We will definitely recommend Fellhaven and will definitely rebook and stay there again .
Pleasantly surprised. Great cabin. Not as secluded as suggested and noisy hot tub neighbors but did not detract from overall stay. Would stay again.
This was our 2nd visit to Fallbarrow after many stays at White Cross Bay, this trip was a very welcome break in these challenging times we are currently living in, it was great just to get a few days away after having 5 trips cancelled on us including far away trips like New York and once again Fallbarrow did not disappoint, this was the first time staying in Acorn Bank lodge and we where so happy that we rebooked within days of this stay, great location (just remember the steps to the lodge, take a torch in the dark) very nice lodge that had everything we could of asked for.
Lovely lodge on a fantastic park. The lodge was nice and clean with plenty of space. I would come again to this great park with stunning views and lots of lovely walks close by.
Great few days at horseshoe lodge- great accommodation in a beautiful setting. Lodge had everything you need and felt very at home in it. Would definitely use agsin
Lodge is really lovely, one of the best we have stayed in. Decorated to a high standard and very spacious and comfortable. Lovely electric fire to make it cozy. Great hottub outside.
Excellent logde , very clean and well equipped. Full kitchen , very spacious bedrooms . The hot tub was lovely , and maintained twice daily . Lovely experience will definitely return
Although our stay was cut short this year as always the lodges are amazing and staff are wonderful, we stayed at lakeshore lodge for the second time this year and again The lodge is always clean and well maintained, already booked for new year 2021and may have a sneaky weekend in the summer! 5 star*****
We had a great stay in this lodge. Although a bit more compact than the lodge we usually stay in it felt really cosy, especially with the dark nights drawing in. The addition of the Sky package was brilliant and the instructions on how to use it were clear. The location was great as we could walk into Windermere and it was just down the road from the visitor centre. The only downside was you had to buy an entertainment pass for £15 to access the bar and restaurant on site and as we were planning on only using it once we didn't bother.
Our lodge was amazing! Really spacious and provided majority of all your home comforts. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again!
We have stayed here more than 15 times and we still always look forward to coming, bowness is a great place to visit with lots to do, we have already booked twice for next year.
The lodge was clean warm and dry and fine for our four nights, however there were some problems too. When arrived the lock broke in front door, alerted team on site who then were unable to sort. This door was then locked and for rest of holiday we had to use the patio door. This involves walking over very slippery deck all the time and as it rained constantly the carpet was very wet by the door as there was no mat. We had to request a hairdryer and sharp knives as only a bread knife available. We did ask for a mat but one not provided and the staff member said he would clean the decking again ...more
Dripping shower in en-suite. Sofa and chairs very uncomfortable could do with replacing. Bigger TV needed in lounge with more choice of channels e.g. Sky
We went to wainwright lodge for Christmas 2020, we had an amazing time. The lodge is cosy and has everything you need, a little tired in need of a few touch ups other than that it was perfect. We had an issue with WiFi and even when reported nothing was done to rectify this, with it being Christmas we planned on using Facebook portal to see family which without the WiFi we were unable to do. The hot tub is great with an amazing view probably the best spot on the site view wise. The site has a pub which at the moment is closed but a little up the road was a lovely pub called the Queens head, th...more
Hi fay paid £1000 stay 4days And 4 night got there stay day half got told we have 2 go home cos went back lock down then only give me back £520 not good then owe me money not book again
Great lodge, lovely position overlooking the lake very convenient for a short stroll into Bowness. Very good standard of cleanliness COVID secure, we will be returning.
Arrived on a Friday after 4 looking forward to the hot tub after a long drive to Find it was cold rang up to be informed due to COVID it had been emptied and refilled and would take a few hours to heat back up ( which was disappointing as it was not hot until the next morning)around 1/2 hr later we had a power cut looked outside to see everyone lights were still on rang up again apparently when you have a lot of electrical stuff on at the same time this can happen we were directed to outside to remedy the situation which we did without problem. Lake lodge holidays were on the ball with any iss...more
Loved our stay at Waterbird. The cabin was brilliantly positioned on Lake Windermere. The park was accommodating and the location of the park was perfect. We will definitely be visiting again.
We shall certainly be coming back. Everything was just as we'd hoped it would. The location was perfect.
All the family enjoyed every second of our stay. Everything on site near by,quiet and relaxing especially the hot tub. Getting out and about central to most places.sraff friendly and helpful.
Due to Cumbria being placed in tier four of Covid restrictions our stay was restricted to a day and a half. The lodge was excellent very comfortable and homely, we have stayed in other parks locally, this was our first time in Limefitt but certainly will not be our last.
We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge! It was spotless on arrival & had all of the amenities we could have wanted throughout the stay. The heating was super toasty at night time and the large decking area outside allowed us to sit in the fresh air with a morning coffee whilst enjoying the gorgeous countryside views. Windermere was close by for a gander to the lake and shops whilst the other lakes were only a 20-40 minute drive away which kept us busy during our 7 day stay! I would recommend this lodge to everyone and we cannot wait to return!
Despite 2020 myself and husband and son stayed for a short (Birthday) weekend at the beginning of December. We were delighted with the accommodation very clean and modern. The location was great too, the facilities were closed due to the restrictions they had decided not to open but we were informed and to be honest didn't make any difference to the overall stay which we enjoyed very much.
We arrived on 2nd of November 2020, made our way to the holiday park, the holiday park staff themselves were not particularly helpful, however when I phone the Lake District Lodge Holiday number both people who answered were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially as we faced uncertainty around our booking and staying for the full week due to lockdown. The lodge itself was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs, completely secure. It’s decor was like a home from home for us and it had everything we needed. The beds, sofas, chairs were all so comfortable And everything was lovely and cle...more
Windermere View Lodge is in a lovely quiet location on the site with a view of the lake. The administration of our stay was first class giving lots of useful information. The lodge was clean and well equipped, spacious and welcoming with a really useful pack of kitchen essentials. However when we went to use the washing machine there was dirty tea towels and oven gloves inside and the shower in the on suite needs some maintenance or even replacing in saying that these things did not affect our stay. The hot tub was divine! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Absolutely loved our stay at Footprints by the Lake. The lodge itself was so spacious and to a very high standard and the location, so close to the Lake, meant the views were incredible. The hot tub was a wonderful addition and great for soaking achey legs after lots of walking. The park itself was ideally situated for exploring the Lakes, with Bowness and Ambleside being within walking distance and a nearby bus stop meant we could explore further into the Lakes without needing to drive anywhere, with very regular buses.
Lake District Holidays, who we have used before, are one of the best Companies to deal with for Lakes holidays. We were only there 2 nights of our 6 due to Tier announcement but LDH were brilliant in sorting everything out. The Lodge was really lovely - well equipped, spotless and comfortable and we would not hesitate to rebook when able.
We have stayed on Whitecross in a lodge before. This lodge is really comfortable with very high quality. Shame there is no hot tub but having said this we would stay again. Congratulations to the owners really enjoyable stay
Very nice ,clean and modern accommodation. It was nice location. We would book again and enjoyed the break.
We were booked for 4 nights over New Year but within an hour of arriving Boris scuppered that and we only had one night before we had to return home. However, that one night was enough to confirm that this is a fantastic lodge - clean, well furnished and in a fantastic location, with the bonus of Netflix! There were a couple of minor points (bathroom door hook hanging off) but overall a lovely, well cared for property that we would happily return to, preferably next time for more than just one night (please Boris)
Beautiful lodge, clean and homely. Couldn’t ask for more. Added bonus of lake views! Great holiday
A beautiful traditional lodge in an equally beautiful location, very comfortable and just what we needed. Lots of wildlife to see including deer, rabbits and a badger, we will be back
booked for my daughters birthday. Amazing place , lodge was excellent very clean and well located Would definitely go again
We arrived at White Swan Lodge just as the England lockdown was announced and we enjoyed 4 nights at the lodge as lockdown took hold. The lodge was very pleasant and had a cosy, yet spacious feel. The bedrooms were also surprisingly spacious with full-sized single beds in the twin-bedded room. The kitchen was well equipped for our stay. The heating and comfort generally were good. The lodge is not overlooking the lake but is a short walk away, as are the on-site central facilities (bar, restaurant and shop). We would be happy to return to this lodge although our preference is...more
After a long year with holidays cancelled (incl one at Limefitt) and long working hours we booked this lodge last minute. As soon as we opened the door it felt so welcoming and homely. It was lovely and warm and most importantly clean. We took along our large fleece throw, as thru past experience) leather can be quite chilly this time of year. The view from the lodge was beautiful- taking in the hills and their changing colours. The bedroom was cosy and warm and we had a lovely nights sleep. There wasn’t really anything I could fault. Most definitely will stay again
Limefitt Park is in a great location close to lake Windermere, and has good road links to other popular beauty spots. The lodge itself has a stunning outlook with views across the valley. We didn't use the huge terrace much because of the season, but it would be an ideal outdoor space in the summer. The lodge was in good condition and well equipped, with a couple of small issues solved very quickly. The park has good facilities including a play park with amazing views, and even offering horse trekking nearby. Would recommend and stay again!
Family of 5, had a short break here ,mon-fri, in order to walk the surrounding area. The lodge was immaculate and immediately felt like a home from home. We loved the welcome gift. We brought our own doormats but there was a boot scraper, mats and great storage for all our muddy boots. All the rooms were cosy and comfortable and we loved the hot tub ,just what we needed after a hike up Scafell! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need and was great for us making all our meals and packed lunches. Having a full size dishwasher was useful too. We also loved having two full s...more
Really lovely lodge positioned at the end of a small cul-de-sac so no passing traffic. The lodge was very clean, warm and fresh. Quiet location although you could hear the traffic on the main road despite not being that close to it! Very handy for the park, swimming pool, restaurant etc. 5 minutes walk to the lake shore. White Cross Bay is ideally located for exploring the Lakes. The hot tub is a great addition to save having to hear 'I'm bored' from the kids as soon as you get back to the lodge! We also visited the swimming pool at Troutbeck Bridge which was an added bonus and also very cl...more
The lodge was spotless and really couldnt fault it. Its in a quiet little cul de sac location close to the lake. The hot tub was well maintained and was tucked away down the side of the lodge making it nice and private. It really did feel like home from home. It was made even better by being allowed to take our little well behaved doggie with us - who loved all the walks we did.
We spent a week at Sheffield pike lodge. The lodge is really spacious despite there being 6 people and a dog. The large windows have beautiful views of the fells which we looked at all day, and there is a lovely large decking area for when the weather is good. Unfortunately we only got one evening to sit outside because the weather was poor but the views can be seen from the lounge anyway. It is a modern lodge with all the essentials. The only thing that affected us was the complete lack of Wi-Fi which we felt could be easily remedied with a cheap booster. This meant we couldn't listen to musi...more
Another lovely stay at Striding Edge. The Christmas decorations were especially nice giving a lovely festive feel.
The lodge was lovely, excellent cleanliness, very modern for families and pets. Brilliant location will definitely be booking again and would definitely recommend!
Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Would definitely consider booking again. Thank you.
Stayed in this beautiful lodge for 4 nights.. simply stunning. So cosy and we had such a lovely time. We will definitely return and have recommended to family and friends. We live 2 and a half hours away from the lakes and we can not believe we have not been before.. we did lots of walking and resting our achey legs in the hot tub was a bonus! Thank you so much
We loved our stay in Esk Pike Lodge. Everything was clean and ready to go upon arrival. The lodge is situated in a fantastic part of the holiday park where it feels very private and uninterrupted. Inside the lodge, everything was clean, tidy and well presented. The hot tub was ready to enter immediately and was fully functional throughout the stay. I would 100% recommend this particular lodge to anybody who wanted a quiet, luxurious break for a reasonable price.
Very well presented lodge with pretty much everything you need. Great value for money. Would stay again.
Over all Was a pleasant stay at Hideaway lodge, warm and cosy. Plenty of towels, beds comfy and everything you could need. The views and position was wonderful. I would recommend.
Neildan Lodge, Is in a nice quiet are, slightly hilly both sides of the lodge but a nice stroll down to the Lake or shops. There is a lovely walk by the side of Windemere which is on the site and there are benches to sit on, relax watching the wildlife, and boats go by.. You can then walk into Bowness to go shopping or sight seeing. Watching the ferry boats sailing on the lake. The 7 days we spent at the Lodge gave us just what we needed peace and quiet and lovely walks amongst the autumn tints.
Lovely lodge, had everything we needed, very comfortable, the views were amazing, can't wait to come back.
The quality of accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Great location for visiting the Lake District. The availability of takeaway food was a great bonus, can’t recommend it enough.
Perfect location right near to the lake. Easy to locate from the reception. Everything in working order including the hot tub. Comfortable and pleasant! Perfect for our first trip to Lake District. Can't wait to come back!
Lovely surroundings in a very comfortable Lodge. My son and myself and the two dogs enjoyed it very much. My son is in in palliative care for cancer and this was his Wishlist and it was fulfilled to his satisfaction. Gave good memories.
Not a great first impression of cleanliness when there are coffee rings on the outside table and the inside dining table especially in current times and given check in/out times adjusted for cleaning. Alot of dog hair and wet dog smell throughout. Glad we brought our own cleaning products. Some issues with blinds, no kitchen blimd and blind in en suite not working. Kitchen had some sticky marks on cupboard doors. Location good and ample space for 2 adults and if you had kids. No parasols at outside table or hottub as pictured.
Third stay at White Cross Bay - have stayed at different lodges each time. This was a well laid out lodge, comfortable. Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. Only minor issues were too many hand towels and not enough bath/shower towels. Also felt bedding needed replacing. The hot tub didn’t get to temperature the first day so couldn’t be used but was good the second day. Overall a lovely stay.
We stayed here in early October and due to Covid was much quieter than normal. Amazing lodge, hot tub and site. We had everything we needed and the tub was a great recovery aid and relaxant after a long walk or bike ride. All Info for arrivals was sent by email and text so no need for face to face contact. Lake Windermere is a stones throw away and the boat trips are a must. The site is built on a hill and the club house is at the top of it, giving amazing views, if the weather permits you to sit outside. We had a lovely break and only wish we could have stayed longer.
This is our 5th (possibly 6th but I’ve lost count!) visit to Lily Tarn. The location of the lodge is lovely, as is the location of White Cross Bay as I’m a massive lover of the Lakes and this park gives you a great view every time you wander down to the marina. We didn’t know what to expect of the lodge and our visit due to C19 however I can’t fault the cleanliness of the lodge, it was immaculate. Big compliments to the cleaners! The lodge hasn’t really changed in the years we’ve been visiting, everything is the same with the exception of a bathroom being modernised. Doesn’t really impact ...more
This is a lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. We found Robins Nest to be a home from home, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. It is in an ideal location to visit many of the Lake District beauty spots and after a day out a lovely place to come back to and relax. Unfortunately we did not use any of the facilities which are available due to the Covid pandemic but would certainly like to return in the future. Thank you for a much needed break!
Fantastic weekend away! Lovely quiet location. The lodge was well maintained & clean . Definitely be going there again . My Mother also Had a great time & would visit again. Thank you very much !!
Having decided to break with tradition and spend Christmas away from home we booked our stay on the basis of a recommendation from a family member and we were not disappointed. The cabin was comfortable, well-equipped and warm and the surrounding countryside provided lots of good walks for the dog and spectacular views. We enjoyed ourselves so much that on the day we got home we booked to return next year!
We've stayed in a few lodges now with LDLH and having recently been renovated, the standard of Easedale lodge was amazing in comparison. 3 good sized comfortable rooms, modern clean bathrooms and kitchen and tastefully decorated throughout. Amazing built in blue tooth speakers in the ceiling which was a great touch. Really good sized hot tub which was perfect for us after miles of walking in the rain everyday. My only constructive criticism(s) would be; the kitchen is really well equipped, but so well equipped that when we arrived there was no empty cupboard for our shopping so we had to d...more
We can’t thank Lake District Lodge Holidays and the owners of Fir Tree Lodge for overcoming the many obstacles we have all faced in 2020, to make our long awaited stay in The Lakes as pleasurable as possible. From the festive decor to the comforts of home, this second visit to Fir Tree Lodge did not disappoint. Sipping a drink in the Hot tub whilst the snow falls around you after a long walk is just what I needed. The owners were more than accommodating to the ever changing circumstances in which we all found ourselves ... thank you for your generosity. We look forward to booking again i...more
Had a lovely few days at Robin view, overall it was a lovely lodge, just a little ‘tired’ in places. It was extremely clean on our arrival, and when we asked for the shower to be looked at it was done efficiently straight away. The door lock needs some attention as does the gate on the decking, but overall I would have no hesitation in booking again. Very well kept , peaceful site.
Have stayed many times on Limefitt park. This lodge has a great location however the lodge was very basic and tired compared to others we have stayed in. The deck was unusable as very slippy and full of algae.
The lodge was decorated beautifully and everything was to a high standard. I received a phone call on the day I was due to check in to inform me the previous guests had broken something and that It was due to be fixed. I thought it was a nice touch that they phoned to say this, most places wouldn't.
Great places to stay. Accommodation was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Very good location.
A beautifully presented lodge and great getaway. Very happy with size, cleanliness, location of lodge. Nice warm and cosy just like a home from home experience. As a family of 4 there was more then enough space for us all to spread out and hot tub location with view was just perfect. Would return to this lodge in the future. Thank you
Lovely lodge but best for only 2 people. Great views and super hot tub.unfortunately our trip was cut short due to lakes going into tier 4 so didn't have full experience.
We COULD walk into Keswick! Taking very great care going round the roundabout taking the A66 north etc. We did not find the noise of the road a problem but in summer on the balcony, it might be noisy. Two light bulbs had gone when we arrived. We should have reported this as another went when we were there. Sorry we did not report this. We were so pleased to find anywhere at the late stage we tried, that we took the lodge for 6 although we were only 2. This meant we had SO much room and that was lovely. Another time we would find a smaller lodge for less money. We would stay on that...more
This lodge was in a great place in lakes to travel around. The lodge however was tired - main bedroom had quite a damp smell. Boiler didn’t work properly and we had to call maintenance out twice - they didn’t solve the hot water issue and told us the boiler needed replacing. Showers went from scalding to freezing totally out of your control.
Just before lockdown spent long weekend , weather the usual appalling however the accommodation made up for it , really spacious and comfortable in the perfect position
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the lodges on site. It was clean, dry, warm and comfortable. Being a wooden Lodge it was a bit 'creaky' in some places but that wasn't an issue. The kitchen area had everything we needed and we comfortably fit a family of 4. The shower had good water pressure so you actually felt like you had a shower. My son loved the jacuzzi and we all had a go so thatvwas a nice novelty but it wasn't the reason we stayed here. We gave the sauna a go too which worked fine. Has it rained a lot we didn't sit outside but there was a nice decking area. The hotel staff wer...more
Generally the visit was a pleasant experience. The lodge was good, clean and had all that you would expect. The hot tub was well maintained( twice a day). Very disappointed with the fact when we bought drinks on the app as opposed to the bar direct there was a £5 difference and even when we questioned this were just told it happens.Suffice it to say we didn't stop for more. Finding the lodge is challenging as there are a lot and close together but you get a tour of the site finding yours.
Last minute booking but disappointed with condition of lodge as it is in need of updating and had quite an unpleasant musty smell. Gas oven very slow and lodge not very warm. Outward appearance is great and could be lovely with some TLC.
Three of us and a small dog stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The lodge is well equipped, clean, spacious and the beds are comfy. Location on Windermere is great and convenient for most places. Will certainly consider staying again next time we visit the lakes but we may stay another area of the lakes for variety.

Quiet cosy lodge well equipped for a nice relaxing week .lovey local walks close by windermere and ambleside within 2miles distance either way. On site restaurant and bar small shop quite well stocked but there is also a spar 5mins down the rd . Enjoyed our stay as we had just had our holiday abroad cancelled due to covid restrictions and wanted to just get away somewhere quiet for 4 nights this lodge is perfect and we would definatly return .
Was nice 3 nights stay all clean and tidy good location hot tub was lush good food on onsite bar would stay again
