Shepards hut was absolutely ideal for our romantic weekend away just the two of us. Beautiful location for exploring the lakes and so peaceful.
I would recommend to all of my friends to go and stay at lodge like this. I have really enjoyed and relaxed myself and it is the best trip of my life. I will never forget it. Customer care was excellent, lodge was in a lovely condition, everything was provided in the lodge to spend a smooth and pleasureful days of the trip. I would like to come back again there soon myself .
Great lodge , good facilities, crockery, cutlery etc kitchen well well stocked , washing machine and dryer ok. Clean good bedding and towels , Just a glimpse of The lake. Comfy sofas and chairs , nice big dining table. Spacious Lodge..
Another fantastic break booked with you. Amazing location, best view in the world, cannot wait to stay there again in October.
My husband and I loved it at this lodge. It was very comfortable and clean. It was like home from home. We settled down as soon as we arrived. Our dog settled in straight away as well. Limefitt park was very clean and excellent facilities for our dog including a dog area for her to have a run round. Would definitely recommend this lodge and park.
The laughing duck lodge is spacious spotless and so comfy and homely. It has everything you could ever need down to plastic champagne flutes for in the hot tub and a picnic basket. A lovely little goodie bag to welcome you when you arrive which even included treats for our dog. Could not fault it we loved it so much we have booked to back later this year.
Elder lodge was perfect in every way.everything we could need was there not just for us but also the dog. The lodge was stunning and the site also. We will be booking this lodge again soon
Fantastic stay at Loughrigg lodge, the lodge itself is comfortable, clean and very well maintained. A home from home standard. Views are amazing from the lodge itself. An option to eat separate from dogs would have been welcomed. We are not dog owners ourself and whilst like dogs, we would much prefer to have an option to fine away from them as other eateries nearby do provide.
We have stayed at Limefitt a few times and we love the park, this lodge we felt at home in from the moment we arrived. Lovely cosy lodge, very good quality throughout, we would definitely return here. The tub was excellent also, a nice end to a busy day. The Haybarn has had a re-furbish since we were here last and as always a lovely welcome, great beer and lovely food. Nice to be able to bring the dog in with us.
Lovely lodge in a great location. The lodge had everything we needed & felt very spacious. Comfortable sofas & beds and the hot tub was a great bonus. The decking area is a suntrap and we were lucky with the weather to be able to eat outside and make use of the patio furniture. The park felt very peaceful and its difficult to believe you are a stones throw from the busy Bowness on Windermere. There are many pubs and places to eat a short walk away.
Stayed here with huaband,parents,2 children and our dog,Beautiful lodge inside and out, absolutely spotless, gorgeous furniture, very well equipped kitchen, hot tub was amazing,Great location, lovely park for kids and a short stroll to the lake, highly recommend, thank you..
Carnt speak highly enough of this lodge every thing was perfect spotless clean through out will definitely be staying again next year carnt wait for our next visit thank you very much.
Having stayed at the lodge quite a few times, I am delighted to say that it is a wonderful spot for a relaxing, get-away-from-it-all break at any time of year, The Spinney at High Borrans has all one could ask for and never disappoints. . However, since changing letting agents last year, the lodge has become quite pricey for a holiday for two which may prompt some (your reviewer included) to not make The Spinney their first choice - a shame as it really is an ideal property for anyone seeking comfort and seclusion.
We have been to limefitt a few times and this was our second visit to ewe view. It's a very spacious lodge which lacks nothing we needed for a very relaxing comfortable week. In a beautiful location with some lovely places to visit just a short drive away it is ideal for a short break. Best of all is we can take our dog. TED just loves his lodge holidays just as much as we do :)
Had a lovely relaxing stay at Somerford Lodge. Very clean and well presented with the books and DVDs a nice touch. We all enjoyed the hot tub after a day out walking. Highly recommend and would love to book again for next year.
Lovely lodge, we had a fabulous holiday and we would be recommending it to friends and family. We will be booking it again in the future. Thanks!
well appointed & tastefully equipped lodge & attractive site only down for us is that both the property and the site are described as "dog friendly" which I would not agree with
We came to lakes to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday and we were not let down! Fantastic lodge, great location will definitely be returning back!!
We had a great time at owls house , our first time in the lake district and we love every minute , the lodge was lovely clean and a great location on the lake , we will definitely be returning .
The lodge was beautiful really well kept hAd everything we could think of and more the hot tub was beautiful and the views from bedroom were awesome. Only annoyance the on suite shower would turn off if someone had a bath in other bathroom and the high chair provided was disgusting. Really hAd to scrub as clean it. Other than that we didn't want to leave and will 100% book again. Thanks
A lovely base from which to explore the Lake District. We enjoyed walking from the lodge up through Troutbeck and up Wansfell Pike.
This lodge was perfect, really modern and had everything we needed. Couldnt have asked for more. The site was brilliant, kids poves playing footy on the field. Had a really good meal at the onsite pub, great food and not to expensive. We had fun playing darts and pool. Will defo be returning...
We had a lovely few days staying at Wansfell Retreat. The whole experience was so great right from the booking process until we checked out. The lodge is so spacious bright and has amazing views of the hills. We even managed to sit out and enjoy a couple of drinks on the decking and soak in the views in the lovely spring sunshine. The lodge is kitted out to high standard and a proper home from home and very comfortable. Loved the fact the Lake Windermere is only a short drive away and a cruise on the lake is s must. We got an amazing day weather wise for it. All in all a relaxing few days awa...more
As always the lake district provides a lovely break away lodge is superb .... lovely position and the hot tub is a lovely extra after a long day on the feet simple review and worth every penny
This lodge is perfect for couples or a family of four. It has everything you need for a relaxing break and is situated in an ideal location (in between Bowness and Ambleside). The lodge was really home from home and very clean and well presented. We'd have no hesitation in stopping there again.
Our stay at Windermere View was excellent and we could not fault a single thing about it! The lodge was in great condition, it was clean and spacious and in a superb location on the park. Fortunately for us the weather was warm and sunny for our stay which made the view out onto the lake all the better. After a long day of walking and venturing out we would sit back, relax and enjoy the hot tub located outside the lodge which looks out onto the lake. There are also many bars, restaurants and shops in the local towns of Windermere and Ambleside which are only around a 10/15 minute drive from th...more
The lodge was absolutely immaculately presented and was truly home from home. The views and the location are stunning! We had the most relaxing time and hope to return soon.
We found the lodge to be very well equipped and spacious. Good size decking area with sunken hot tub . Would definitely book this lodge again .
Two Adults &two kids 8yrs , 5yrs we loved the lodge excellent location, excellent lodge and hot tub was a favourite for kids and adults. All amenities nearby walking distance the lodge owner provided a guide of local pubs , walks ectopic. So very thoughtful of her. All homely facilities provided in lodge. Recommended highly and will book again for 2018.
This was our first visit to the lake distict and it was very enjoyable. The customer service was exceptional throughout including a very pleasant courtesy call the day prior to our arrival and a text message on the day just reaffirming that if we encounter any problems to contact them immediately. The lodge was spotless, comfortable and contained everything that we required with the hot tube being the icing on the cake. I would wholeheartedly recommend both the lodge, the site and windermere Itself!
We stayed at the valley view lodge for 4 nights, the lodge was very well equipped and a great size for 4 of us. The hot tub was a welcome addition especially after a long day of walking. Would definitely recommend!!
Great lodge, great location, Haybarn was great, good food and freindly staff, local walks and surrounding areas were perfect for us. Definitely will visit again.
Beautiful lodge with enough space for the four of us and a young child. The hot tub was cleaned well and set in a beautiful location. Would have preferred an umbrella or some sort of privacy screen as the hot tub was very open and could be seen directly by two other lodges. There were strange teddy bears left on the beds which felt slightly unclean however this wasn't a huge problem.
We really enjoyed your stay, it's the perfect little getaway. The location is idyllic, the perfect balance of rural and town. The facilities themselves where perfect, much better than expected. We have and will continue to recommended this place to friends and family.
The site was ideal and the lodge was amazing. There was a minor issue with unclean plates etc and cracked glasses in the cupboard but this was dealt with promptly when staff were informed. There was plenty of room for 2 energetic children and an enthusiastic labrador though they spent most of the time in the well maintained park and football pitch. It had a very welcoming family feel and the onsite pub was more than accommodating - food good. Central to lots of places to visit and walks everywhere! We will definitely be back.
Very well positioned lodge right by the lake, location is a short drive from the towns. On site shop is stocked more than adequately and the lodge itself is in great shape. Fully functioning kitchen, hot tub, master bedroom with on-suite bath/shower and even Sky TV. Pleasantly surprised and will hopefully look to book again.
Would highly recommend this lodge, myself my husband, daughter and dog all stayed for my husbands birthday and outlr 1st year wedding anniversary weekend. We couldnt belive how lovely the lodge was, all the little touches like the guest book for example, the hot tub was amazing and we lived the ensuite bathroom you can tell the lodge has been finished with very high standards. The only downfall we had personally which wasnt the lodge owners fault but the park itself doesnt allow you to leave your dog unattended in the lodges so we wernt able to go out for tea or breakfast at the onsight restau...more
We had a lovely week in April and the lodge was beautiful and well equipped. The view is amazing and it was very peaceful. Would highly recommend the onsite pub. The food is delicious and a nice atmosphere. The horse riding was superb and will definitely do that again.
Had a wonderful stay in a beautiful lodge, which was very clean and had all you could need.Hot tub was fab.
We found the lodge extremely comfortable and the facilities were more than adequate. Thank you to the owners of the lodge as their decorations were certainly cheerful and made Christmas away from home "very homely" with the large Christmas tree and lovely toys and games to satisfy all ages. Thank you and maybe one day 'we'll be back'.
Great location, the hot tub made our stay more enjoyable. Our family and Digger the dog enjoyed it very much!, Three bedrooms with comfy beds. Bonus that the lodge had sky sports TV as we are a football mad family. It was a shame that the dining room chairs were very uncomfortable. The Christmas tree and lights made it home from home and was a very nice touch! We will be returning as we had a great time.
I was satisfied with my stay, the area is very natural and away from the town and traffic. It's a quite place to enjoy if you're looking for a break from the hustle and bustle. In terms of pricing, I do believe it is slightly overpriced but overall was satisfied with my stay.
We had a brilliant stay at this lodge - it is really family friendly and meant we could truly relax with our one and three year old boys. The lodge is in a great location on the park; you don't feel overlooked at all. The park is great - lovely spot on the lake and a great base for lots of local attractions. Would definitely book here again.
We always enjoy our breaks at latterbarrow we have stayed here many times hope to come again very soon. The weather was great did a lot of walking and eating and drinking just a perfect break.
This was our second stay at swan lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The lodge is comfortable and homely and the location of the lodge is fantastic. We will be returning again next year,
on first viewing looks fab acouple off glasses cracked a wonderful big wooden table , fantastic kitchen , living area fab . down side out side furniture wet no covers on which is a great shame when i put them in lodge to try and dry them you still could not sit on them because DOG HAIRS which is a shame being such a lovey lodge, but we still loved that much we have already booked for next year cant wait, we had a 7 year old with us a she was upset because she go swimming when we went to the pool we found out we could not go in we had to book a session but was fully booked. but we now n...more
Amazing lodge wonderful views the lodge was so clean it was wonderful and a pleasure to stay there will return soon and would recommend 100%
Positives: Lovely spacious and comfortable lodge. Liked the wrap around bit of grass for early and late dog ablutions! Nice to have 2 x parking spaces. Great having a hot tub (see below). Nice to have essentials on arrival: washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. (there wan't any kitchen roll although this was listed si I hadn't taken any. Not a big problem though!) Good to be able to use the Choices Leisure Centre Room for improvement: Sofas and carpets are looking a bit tired. Flooring rather than carpet in the hallway would be better especially as it is pet-friendly. Hot tu...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Pine Tree lodge. Very clean and modern and dog friendly which was great for us. Perfect location, close to everything we needed. We look forward to returning here sometime.
The log cabin was amazing absolutely fantastic very clean everything you need and more the location was really close to the club house and swimming pool
This lodge was excellent.Clean tidy, everything you required in the kitchen was there. Car parking was good. The position was good although we have had better. We go to the lakes most Easter weekends and we would certainly consider Hideaway Lodge in the future.
There were 5 of us, all adults, staying at Fell View over a weekend. We were there to celebrate a birthday and get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, but retain some creature comforts. Fell View certainly delivered, the lodge was superb and the location ideal. With a good pub on site we were able to choose whether to go out to nearby Windermere/Bowness or stay on site. The immediate access to good hill walking paths was excellent. The only negative issue we found was the intermittent network access but as we were there to get away from it all this didn't matter too much.
We had a lovely time and Jasper our dog loved it There is a lovely walk right on the door step We will definitely return Thank you
The lodge was very comfortable with every convenience that you would need to make it a very nice holiday, the views are really nice and we would have enjoyed the veranda had the weather been kinder to us but we still enjoyed it. Fairly convenient for getting to all the places we wanted to visit and booking was made easy and help if we needed it was there. I would book again if we were coming up to the Lakes.
The lodge had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. In addition to crumbs and surfaces not wiped . The dishwasher had not been emptied the beds had not been changed - they had dirty linen on them, the towels were wet and lying on the floor. The reception staff were helpful in contacting the people responsible for cleaning the lodge. The response was prompt - we had people cleaning the lodge half an hour after the phone call - this was 8:30 on a Friday night. From this point onwards our stay was very good . The lodge was comfortable the location is great and the person responsible for the c...more
This was my first time with my partner and young daughter in the Lake District as well as staying in a lodge and we loved it! It was like a home from home in beautiful scenery.
My friends and I had a lovely time staying at Lavender Lodge. The lodge was warm, cosy and it had these extra little touches which made all the difference. Will definitely come again.
Definitely booking through your company again. Easy and stress free. Nice personal call before we set off on our journey.
We stayed in Roe Deer for 3 nights and it was perfect, just what we expected and wanted. Beautiful lodge which was clean and had all the essentials for a stay. Loved the hot tub and we were so lucky with the weather whilst down there. Great location, only a ten minute drive from Bowness which has lots of lovely pubs and restaurants. The park was lovely and quiet with lovely views, it was so nice to go and relax in the hot tub outside and look at the blue sky after a long day of walking. I couldn't fault our stay. It was the first time to the Lake District and Limefitt park and I would return t...more
Me & my family had a lovely week away, the lodge was spotless, clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The hottub was amazing & We will definitely be booking again In the future.
Great customer service. We were contacted a few times before the trip to ensure we had all the correct information. Great location as close to Windermere & Ambleside. The lodge was extremely clean and tidy. We would definately stay again.
We had a lovely stay in Rowan Lodge. It was a rather damp weekend, that's the risk you take with a Spring break, but the lodge was very well kitted out even having an airer so drying 2 human coats, 2 dog coats and towels wasn't an issue. It was a lovely place to relax and just chill after a few stressful weeks at work. Lots of books on local wildlife to look at, a variety of DVD's to watch and great access to the internet. Loved watching all the birds that visited although we were gutted not to have seen the badgers - a good reason to come back again ;-)
Stayed here for what we called our mini moon after getting married on the Saturday before arrival. Never been to the Lake District so was really looking forward to it. Wasn't disappointed. The Lodge was so beautiful. Was wonderfully laid out with the comforts of feeling like home. The Hot tub was brilliant and so warm and well positioned as we wasn't overlooked at all. We were so happy with the lodge that we would quite happy come back here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This was our second stay at Thirlmere lodge. This time the sun shone which meant we were able to relax on the decking with kindles & G&Ts in hand. I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough. It is well equipped. Beautifully furnished and our holiday was so relaxing I just wanted to stay another week. What more needs to be said!
The lodge was a lovely surprise as it was much nicer that the photos on the website. Fabulous open plan living area and the master bedroom was beautiful with a walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. The patio was sunny for most of the day and we were so lucky to have lovely weather for our weekend away so thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub.
The lodge was fully equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and spacious. Nice and warm. I would totally recommend to my friends.
We stayed at Striding Edge Lodge in Limefitt Park over Easter for two weeks. The location of the lodge is really good with plenty of privacy on the deck. The hot tub is fabulous, and checked regularly by the very helpful local hot tub man!! The lodge itself is family friendly and very well equipped. It was clean and big enough for a small family (only 3 of us). Limefitt is an excellent site in one of the most beautiful part of the lakes. We walked every day in different parts of the national park. The staff on site are excellent, and Lake district lodge holidays as efficient as ever. The pl...more
The lodge was great. Had full wheelchair access to all areas apart from hot tub, but I was able to use it. Access to bathroom was good as was a wet room. Lodge was clean and tidy with nice towels and bed linen. Only disappointment was that the owner's have de-comissioned the fireplace, as this would have been nice to have used. Parking at front although did discover space at back next to ramp to lodge.
Had a wonderful time staying here the location was fab and the lodge was beautiful. Will Definately be returning.
Nieldan Lodge is beautiful. Was very impressed upon arrival. Stayed on the park last year in one of the parks 'lodges' but wasn't as nice or as big or as clean. The holiday itself was relaxing, enjoyed walks around hotness and the lake. Had some lovely meals out in the lovely restaurants. Would definitely return!
Amazing location, great for walking the dog each day, also a dog field for a little leg stretch! Customer service before our stay was really good, frequent contact from the owner. Hot tub is an amazing bonus to the lodge, although a little chilly getting in and out in december!! Only suggestion for improvement is maybe updating the mattress and the sofa's. We both found them very uncomfortable and suffered with very stiff backs for a day or two after sleeping/sitting on them. Kitchen was well equipped and fridge/freezer nicely sized. Will definitely return (maybe when the weath...more
This is our first experience in a log cabin. We stayed in this lodge for 3 nights and must say we loved it as soon as we walked through the door! Just like home from home. The cleanliness was excellent. Decking is spacious. Such a cosy and comfortable lodge! It is located very close to reception. We was more pleased that this lodge accepted dogs as we took our Labrador and must say he enjoyed it to! The site it is on is one of the best sites we've stayed on, so relaxing. We're hoping to return to Lily Tarn again in the future. Definitely recommend to anyone who would like to stay at White ...more
On arrival we found 17 issues regarding cleanliness and damage, that was reported and dealt with by the maintenance manager, so questionable whether the cleaners did clean the lodge prior to our arrival or the previous hirers didn't report any concerns. Rather more concerning was that the balustrades and newel posts were dislodged/broken/rotten on the decking especially by the hot tub. In my humble opinion a health and safety issue and an embarrassment to the owners who've let out their second home for private use. Would I stay in the same lodge again 'No' or another lodge at White Cross Ba...more
We had a fabulous weekend in Jinnyspinner Lodge. The site was immaculate as was the lodge in a quiet corner location overlooking the stream. There was everything we needed as the lodge was well equipped and spacious with a wonderful outside balcony with table and chairs that we were able to make full use of as we had unexpectedly good weather! A perfect place to come back to and relax after our dog walks ... Heaven!
Good lodge , all you would expect in kitchen , cutlery, plates, kitchen foil etc... cooking area a little small for cooking for 6 people. Great position , near to Park facilities. Clean, good bedding and towels.
Think limefitt is a great park staff so helpfull our lodge was very clean and had everything only thing that lets it down is the kitchen a bit on the small side but we still had a great time and would deffo return there
We booked this Lodge for a family getaway to the Lakes. Have stayed on this site before, and would do so again. The Lodge met our expectations and more. Great stay.
Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Kitchen very well stocked and extremely clean. Very tastefully furnished with modern appliances and furniture throughout. The attraction here was the luxurious hot tub which never failed to provide fun and total relaxation. Would certainly return to Woodbeck.
Good value lodge with a hot tub. Spacious. A little tired in places and not very clean upon arrival. Upon contacting Lake District Lodge Holidays, a cleaner was sent back out within half an hour. Shower continually ran cold for extended periods of time. Hot tub was nice but could have done with daily cleaning out of pine needles etc. Needs a good clean and some tlc.
Beckside Rest was very comfortable for a short break. The location is excellent. The hot tub very welcoming after a day out on your feet. The accommodation was very warm - the lodge was quick and easy to heat. The oven wasn't in the best condition but we only needed it for cooking jacket potatoes and pizza. The dishwasher hadn't been emptied from the previous occupants which was a little annoying. Overall though these were only minor niggles and didn't spoil our long weekend. Would happily book it again.
We booked Woodmere with a little trepidation because the last few reviews had been mixed, but we loved our stay. The accommodation was spotless on arrival, the lodge was bright, light and airy and it felt homely and welcoming, yet special enough to feel like we were staying in our own little bit of luxury. We stayed with 2 children and they loved 'the terrace and the inside layout' (6 year old) and 'the bed and the tv in the bedroom' (4 year old) We loved the spacious lounge, hi spec finish of all the fitting and, the hot tub. The only thing that would stop us from booking Woodmere again is ...more
Stayed Monday - Friday, great lodge tucked away in a cul-de-sac but with a short pathway to the restaurant and park for the kids. Had everything we needed and was comfortable enough.
Sunny Brow is a lovely lodge in a prime location on White Cross Bay. The lodge is spacious and well decorated and has all the facilities you'd need for a pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable stay. A particularly good design feature is the entrance hallway and adjacent storage cupboard. So important when you're coming in on a wet weather day. A hot tub on the decking area is clean and warm, making it ideal in almost any weather. Overall a very nice lodge to stay in with a view to die for!
We spent three nights at Hill Lodge and found the accommodation very clean and tidy with all the facilities to make our stay comfortable. The lodge is slightly elevated overlooking the park making the lounge and dining room nice and private to passers by. Overall, we rated the lodge highly in terms of comfort, cleanliness and great value for money with the park itself being located perfectly for ease of access to Windermere and a short drive over Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater.
The pictures of the lodge are beautiful and we were really looking forward to our stay however in reality it was dirty and smelt of dog. There was blood on our sheets.....lots of dust everywhere and generally not cleaned properly in a while. Neighbours were in hot tubs drinking alcohol beyond accepted times and basically....we got no sleep.wouldnt stay here again as even the outside of the lodge looked dirty in comparison to others. We couldn't sit out as the cushions for the chairs had been left out and had mold on them and there were men building a new deck for the lodge at the side of us wh...more
Perfect location. Excellent accomodation with fantastic unspoilt views. Great place to stay with or without a dog. Would highly recommend.
My stay at the serenity lodge was exactly what I expected. Clean, well presented and very good value for money. There's a few things that need sorting with the maintenance of the lodge but very minor things. The hot tub is a very good added bonus as it was very well used! As a group of 7 girls on a reunion gathering we fully enjoyed ourselves in the lodge and found it was plenty big enough for us all (plus 1 dog). There was ample car parking to the side of the lodge for us all as we all turned up in different cars which I thought would be an issue but wasn't at all. The wifi is fantastic and a...more
We absolutely loved our time at Woodside Lodge, it was perfectly located on the site it was not overlooked by any other Lodges and it backed onto the woods so very private. The secure garden area was perfect especially since we brought 3 young children and a dog with us. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean and very well presented. The only negative thing I have to say is o understand there are grips on the decking and when you walked on these it was fine but as children do they like to break the rules, even if they so much stepped own foot off of the "gripped" area they were falling over. Very pleasant lodge in just as good location. We have stayed at Pinehaven before which says why we came back and would revisit in the future.
