The Milking Parlour is a beautiful conversion that sleeps 6 adults (+1 child/small adult on a pull-out bed), with underfloor heating throughout provided by our eco wood pellet boiler. Featuring an enclosed private garden with stunning view across the valley and a sheltered hot tub, this property's garden adjoins our other 6 bed, The Cow Shed. Larger bookings can rent both spaces with access into either garden via a gate between the two; this gives families and large gatherings the freedom to move between gardens (this gate is permanently locked for separate parties.)

Lovely few days away in a quiet setting. Kitchen was well equipped and cottage was cosy and clean. Loved the scones.

Customer service was very good.

This stay had everything we needed n more , 3 bedrooms with comfy beds , 2 bathrooms, large well equipped kitchen diner for all the family ,hot tub with a scenic view , bbq, enclosed garden for our loved fur baby . Parking right outside for easy un @ off loading … can’t wait to go back ..

Me and my 6 friends stayed here for 3 nights for a birthday. The cottage was spotless from top to bottom. The decor was beautiful, modern but also in keeping of the character of the property. I only had contact with Chloe, but she was extremely helpful, understanding and made the booking process easy and convenient. I would stay again in a heartbeat. It was a lovely place to wind down and just spend time together. Thank you for having us!

We stayed in the Milking Parlour and Cow Shed from Friday to Sunday. There were 15 of us and everything was amazing. Chloe was brilliant at promptly answering all my (many) questions and gave us great suggestions for food and pubs. The accommodation was spectacular- a really high standard that made the weekend feel like a huge treat. The fizz and scones on arrival was such a lovely touch. We will be back for sure!

Can’t rate this property highly enough. Super decor, immaculately clean, warm, well equipped…I could go on! Stayed with four friends and the five of us had to a of space. The beds were super comfortable and the hot water never ran out despite showers and baths each day. Beautiful hill to views from the hot tub. All in all, absolutely wonderful. Do not hesitate to book this, you will love it

We had a lovely few days in the Milking Parlour with our family of 5 and dog, Teddy. We loved the hot tub with the lovely view beyond the garden overlooking the valley. The garden felt safe for the dog and the house was a very good size for 3 grown up lads and their parents. We also loved the local pub, the Fox and Hounds, which is within walking distance from the cottage. I’m sure we’ll be back again at some point!

We had a fabulous and relaxing time. A special bonus was the hot tub; sitting in the hot tub while looking at the beautiful countryside, amazing! Directly from the property, we went for a lovely walk to one of the pubs; a good walk followed by a pub lunch, the best time had! The property is very well maintained. As soon as we walked through the door, we know we would enjoy our stay. Thank you for the added touches to make our stay special. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful 3 days ( wish it could have been longer) in the Milking Parlour at Shady Hall Farm. The house was beautiful and every comfort had been considered. There were freshly baked scones, Prosecco and fresh flowers to greet us on arrival. All the basic provisions were supplied and the house was so cosy to come in to. Everything was spotlessly clean and modern. We loved the wood burner and the hot tub and the views were spectacular. Privacy was respected but we knew the owners Chloe, Karen and Allan were available if we needed anything. Too much to compliment here. Suffice to say it was a 5 star experience which we would thoroughly recommend and one which we would love to repeat.

Everything about our stay at the Milking Parlour was just perfect. The accommodation was beautifully presented and well equipped with everything you could need. We loved the garden as did our cocker spaniel and we spent many relaxing evenings in the hot tub watching the sun set.
The owners live on site if needed but not at all intrusive - thank you for the welcome gift which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We had a fabulous week exploring the Peak District and will definitely be back!

We stayed for a weekend in late February. Luckily the weather was dry and sunny although very cold outside. The Milking Parlour was lovely and warm.
The decor and fittings are high end and lovely. Everything was easy to use.
The hot tub, garden and many of the windows had beautiful views.
The owners were extremely helpful during the booking process and whilst there.
The welcome gift was much appreciated!
It was easy to get into the Peak District from the property so two days of the great outdoors was enjoyed.
Beds are very comfortable so everyone slept well and it was so peaceful both during the day and at nighttime.
We would definitely return.
