We stayed in Fern Lodge for three nights while attending a family wedding. The owners clearly care about the property, it was equipped with everything we needed and many extras too. The beds were all comfy and the showers had great water pressure. If I could make one request, it would be for a larger mirror upstairs on the dressing table, the two smaller ones provided were great for makeup but not for hair drying. Overall, the holiday was wonderful, the cabin was great and had all we needed for a nice stay. I do have some improvements and feedback, however. - The apartment has very little insulation, so it was very hot for the first 3 days, difficult to sleep - The rear terrace was not used as much as we would have liked, the swing chairs are not practical and really uncomfortable. They need to be high to see but this makes them difficult to sit in. We have stayed in another property on this sight a couple of times so know it’s in a great location. Silhouette’s Stable did not disappoint! It was spotlessly clean and very bright and airy. The kitchen is very well equipped and the garden area makes for a lovely outside dining space on sunny days. The inside of the property is very well maintained and has everything you need for a well earned and relaxing holiday - highly recommended - Thank you Sarah & team for a great stay!
We have just returned from a wonderful week at Oakwood as a family of 7 plus 3 dogs. The properties are really nice and having two adjoining made getting together as a group really easy yet still allowing everyone their own space. The outdoor spacer is great for getting together and indoor is so nicely furnished. We had everything we needed. The only small area that could be improved would be for the double beds to be slightly bigger as they seemed to be quite small doubles whereas there would have been room for slightly larger beds giving even more comfort. First time at Lucky's stable previously stayed at Fern lodge. Another great time away with 3 children and our dog. Lucky’s stable clean, spacious & comfortable and great stay on top of great weather. Sarah and the team welcoming and friendly as usual. Perfect location for those with kids wanting a bit of privacy and for dog lovers!
