The photos don’t do this place justice, it’s immaculate and the decor is a very high standard. Perfect distance away from hustle and bustle but we also had a gorgeous breakfast at the onsite restaurant. Highly recommend & would come back
Beautiful apartment in lovely location. It was a home from home. Everything you would need provided even a welcome pack of milk, tea bags, coffee sachets and sugar sachets ro get you started. Overall it felt very luxurious and we will definitely look forward to returning at some point.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Marina Village. We had a disabled relative with us and the accommodation was perfect for for his stay, with a very well equipped wetroom .
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Windermere Marina Village. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome, the stunning views, and great atmosphere. The accommodation was spotless, stylishly decorated, and incredibly comfortable – everything we needed for a memorable getaway. The location couldn’t be better. The apartment on the marina was a good location but the noise from the road especially at night time with Lorries was very bad. We would not have booked here if we realised how busy the road was by the property. The view in the marina was excellent. The washer dryer was not good and it could take hours and hours for towels to dry. There should be a trip hazard sign by the Constantina doors in the lounge as one of the party cut the back of their heel open on the ridge and step. Beautiful apartment, high spec and comfortable furnishings. Would highly recommend windward 16 and it’s more modern than some of the apartments at the Marina.
We’ve been staying at the Windermere Marina Village for several years and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else here. The apartment was immaculate and is ideally located if you just want to relax or explore the lakes. Every you need is in the apartment and the beds are so comfy. It’s within easy walking distance to Bowness no need to drive around just catch the bus and enjoy the scenery.
Lovely apartment with all the facilities you would need. The apartment is a very high standard and really spacious. The location of WMV is excellent and we had a wonderful meal at the on site bar/restaurant. The reception staff are really helpful and welcoming.
We are much-travelled and have enjoyed a good life, but neither of us have ever enjoyed an apartment so much or a destination. I was tempted not to give the apartment we stayed in such a good review because we want good availability for our return trip
Just back from a fabulous 4 day break at the wonderful Windermere marina village and I must say we couldn't fault our stay at in apartment 32, from the warm welcome on arrival by the lovely reception staff to the fabulous apartment itself, we enjoyed every single minute of our trip. The apartment offers stunning views of the marina, whilst also providing home from home comfort, all within easy walking distance of Bowness itself. We look forward to returning in the future.
We booked townhouse number 3 and boy oh boy is it fabulous- we had my elderly mama with us who loved the ground floor bedroom- the views over the marina were great - the decor is lovely- such a restful place- we ate at the restaurant on site twice and had scrumptious food both evenings- we will certainly be back
What a wonderful greeting at main reception. Clear instructions and the doggy welcome pack was such an impressive treat ... especially the ball (his favourite). On arrival there was a "slight" dog smell which I suppose is expected being a dog friendly apartment. Aside from that the whole apartment had a luxury feel, peaceful and very calming watching the boats going in / out of the marina. We had our little Malshi (Derek) with us and was a bit of a shame he couldn't see beyond the decking fence so kept jumping up and down to try and get a look so had to keep picking him up to satisfy his c...more
Another fabulous two week stay in this large spotless luxury apartment (Windermere 42). A huge comfortable bed, large bathroom with shower over bath, a fully fitted modern kitchen and comfortable lounge. Washer and Dryer separates means we didn’t take any dirty washing home! Eating out on the balcony overlooking the marina is a fabulous experience too and the lovely Marina View restaurant is conveniently located next door. Lovely apartment with everything you could need, even a coffee machine. We were given milk, tea, coffee, and condiments on arrival and there was a box in the kitchen with kitchen roll foil dishwasher tabs oven glove tea towels washing up liquid and cloths. Very comfy beds lots of storage and we had a lovely balcony with lots of furniture to relax on. It did help the weather was great. Restaurant on site abit pricey but good food and convenient. We would definitely stay again.
Wow this apartment is amazing, the. decor is luxurious, everything is so well thought out it’s spotlessly clean and if your luckily enough for nice weather to sit on the balcony as we were the views are spectacular. We stay at marina village for it’s location as you can be in n the hustle and bustle of bowness within a 10min walk or enjoy the peace and quiet of the marina, this will definitely be our apartment of choice when we return.
As a frequent visitor to Windermere Marina Village and having stayed in various properties there, I can honestly say that it never fails to please.
4 nights here at 22 Marina View to celebrate retirement & a birthday with family. Despite the first 2 days of rain the apartment didn’t disappoint.offered comfort, luxury & beautiful views of the Marina.lovely outside space to take in the summer sunshine for the last 2 days of our stay. Stayed at the Windermere Marina Bowness apartment on a number of occasions and always enjoyed our stay. The staff at the marina are all very friendly and helpful. The apartment housekeeping on our last visit was not up to the usual excellent standard. The kitchen and bathroom floors were not as clean as they could have been. Overall though nothing to complain about.
Had a great time in Windward Apartment 33 I would recommend to anyone to visit here where all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable ten out of ten to WMV
Stayed in Townhouse 11 with three couples and a baby. Spacious, clean comfortable and walking distance of Bowness. The decking and patio furniture could do with a refresh, but otherwise could not fault.
Apartment was excellent. Spotless. Everything to hand. If you're lucky with the weather it's a 10!!.
Very happy, just a couple of things could be better, the shower was poor, lighting for make-up in bedroom poor, and would be nice if option for sky tv package. , but will definitely come bk. X
The apartment was excellent very well equipped with great views and as others have mentioned you are only 10 mins away from the town . We enjoyed staying at the marina village so much we book another 4 night and I have to say the staff who work here are brilliant.

Great site, lovely flat. Easy walking access to Bowness. Only small issue was there is no cover from decking on flat above so when raining balcony cannot be used otherwise lovely to sit out and relax.
Everything was perfect apart from the toilet which, for me as a disabled person, was too low. Even with the single bar, I still struggled - two would have been better. This wouldn't put us off another booking. The balcony overlooking the Marina was a highlight. The unusually good weather meant that we could eat outside at all times.
A very well equipped apartment, had everything we needed. Perhaps the option of a fan would be a good addition for the living area - as a top floor apartment it got very warm in the recent heatwave. Good on site bar/restaurant
Our first week at Windermere Marina Village proved or exceeded our expectations. The apartment quality and cleanliness in furniture, fittings, equipment and general soft furnishings were exceptional, and we found it natural to care for everything exactly as we would if it were our own. The terrace enjoyed all the use we could possibly make of it during days and evenings. We should single-out Joanna for her empathetic and kind attention to searching for a dearly loved little companion which accompanies us on all holidays and which we could not locate in our belongings after arriving home....more
The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. Very comfy beds and a great view from the balcony overlooking the marina. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Windermere Marina Village is in a great location. A short 10 minute walk via a footpath into Bowness where there are loads of shops, restaurants and bars. A lake cruise is highly recommended. A car ferry to explore the other side of the lake and to get to Coniston Water is just down the road. Kendal is a short drive if you want the big supermarkets. Very close to amenities, staff at reception very helpful. Excellent property for 5 adults as plenty of room.
We couldn’t fault the apartment; it was just a little too close to the Bar to give it full marks, as the noise was a little disturbing on such a busy weekend. Not too impressed with the Bar Food and some of the staff were a little grumpy but we just used it less than planned, so not disastrous. We are definitely planning another trip in the same Apartment with our Airedale, so that’s probably the best compliment we can make, instead of our minor gripe about the Bar.
We have stayed at WMV for over 20 years and in different apartments they have all been great . Town hse 12 is excellent as its dog friendly not that you would know dogs stay their as it is so clean, very spacious and lovely view of the marina via the by folding doors . This is our 5th stay in this house .and are looking at re booking at the end of the year .
We have stayed in various properties both in the Lake District and further afield, where we have had issues with the cleanliness of the properties. We have usually spent the first day cleaning up after so called cleaners had been in. When it came to Windward Apartment 22, the property was spotlessly clean and tidy. The view of the marina is tranquil watching some of the boats coming and going from the marina itself. we have stayed at the marina village many times and in Ambleside cottages a few times. everything was as is described in the brochure. we love the location, its far enough out to be quiet but near enough to enjoy the lovely walk into Bowness. I'm sure we will holiday again at Windermere Marina Village, only negative was, we had a group of young people in number 2 next door, while I wish everyone to enjoy themselves it did become pretty noisy with music and this went on until around 2 am, we were leaving next mooring, Sunday 15/6/25, it was a short nights sleep for us, as we left I didn't hav...more

Apartment has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a large covered balcony with views over the marina that we used most days. It is about a 15/20 minute walk into the pier & all the ferries in Bowness .
the bed was too small when you are 6 2 feet tall had to sleep on the coach which was adequate ,next time we stay it will be in the apartment we had last time regards Mr A Morris.
It started at arrival where we were greeted exceptionally, the lady who checked us in is a real asset to your company she was so welcoming. The Townhouse was fantastic and impressed with the quality, finishing touches and enjoyed the balconies looking onto the Marina. We will definitely be back and couldn’t recommend it highly enough
Lovely weekend in the Lakes exploring with the Marina Apartment 50 as our base. We loved the close location to Bowness, only a 10/15 minute walk. Car could be parked outside apartment, right outside the property. Apartment was lovely and we would definitely stay there again. My only negative comments and they are purely to assist the management and by no means did they spoil our stay: * Entrance and stairs coming to room had a smell of dogs which was sligthly off putting, considering we had ordered a dog-free apartment. * Lounge area had a distinctive smell, that I assumed was the fact ...more
Booked the Bowness 2 for 4 of us and it was lovely. Not on the main marina row, but still such a lovely cottage. Upside down layout so you can benefit from the view to an older, smaller marina. The cottages are a little tired now, but that is reflected in the price (still very clean). Lots of utensils for 6 people and there is a bed that drops down in the lounge if you need the extra space. I would absolutely stay here again and the staff were amazing! Next time we would definitely move over to the marina side for the better view. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
Second stay at the Marina in two months. This property was a 3 bed townhouse and bigger than the property we stayed in previously. Although the property was clean, it is a little tired. Sofas tatty on sides of arm rests, and carpets need cleaning. A lot of fixed lighting present didn’t work. Eg, lights in wall up first flight of stairs, lighting in display cupboard in the kitchen, no oven light, and a light switch system in both the living room and kitchen which doesn’t work correctly. Ample kitchen utensils for meal making. Good for a family of six. Nice views over the lake and marina. Poor l...more
Lovely stay at the Marina Village. The apartment has everything you need. The only thing I found missing that would be useful for other people is a few games/ card for rainy days and perhaps a few walks books for people who are not familiar with the Lake District or first time visitors. We enjoyed our stay and have rebooked for September this year.
Windermere marina village is a great place for a break. South of Bowness, it is nice and secluded and despite the many properties is peaceful and relaxed Easy walking distance from Bowness means there is no need to worry about getting your car around the busy roads as the transport links are excellent. A super restaurant and bar, The Boathouse, on site provides a relaxing place to eat and drink while watching the boats The on site staff are friendly and helpful and available if needed. We will be back!
