An amazing experience. Wonderful setting on the banks of Loch Ness and a delightful town at Fort Augustus. My son and his family joined us from America and they were impressed. The conversion of the building was very sympathetic. We all had a lovely week. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to review Glenlivet apartment. We are delighted you and your family had a wonderful holiday and appreciated the close proximity of The Highland Club to the village of Fort Augustus. The convenient location of Highland Club Direct properties is well received by all our guests and the village itself offers all conveniences. Glenlivet is one of a small handful of three bedroom properties at The Highland Club and is maintained both by the management team and owner to an extremely high standard. We hope you will visit again and take advantage of our repeat guest discount. Kind regards Joanne Nicholson Highland Club Direct

The location of the Abbey and the architecture of the building are stunning. At first glance the facilities on offer promise to be a pleasing addition until you realise that at busy holiday periods 1 tennis court, 1 badminton court, 1 snooker table and 2 table tennis courts is entirely inadequate for the number of properties on the site. Only the pool has a booking system which does seem to work. Add to this the fact that the badminton rackets in our apartment were both broken then we had little chance of availing ourselves of these facilities. Although the snooker table was clearly marked for over 16 year olds only, single families were allowed to hog it for whole evenings, the same happened with the tennis court. Surely a simple booking system could be put in place, with 1 hour max.

The "fully equipped" kitchen was far from meeting this description and lacked even a set of 6 glasses.

The non-slip mat for the shower over the bath was absolutely disgusting. Completely covered in mould and unusable. There was also mould in the corner of the bath and wall.

Overall this apartment did not live up to its luxury claim especially when you expect guests to take their own rubbish and recycling to what is effectively a tip as the bins were overflowing from day 1 and did not seem to have been emptied all week. I don't mind taking my own rubbish out but do expect that area to be clean and tidy and regularly cleared,. This must attract vermin!

Overall stunning location but not luxury and poor value for money.
