From the moment we arrived in the flower filled farm courtyard, we were impressed with the standard and attention to detail. Philippa has clearly put her heart and soul into making The Mews an outstanding home from home in the countryside. We made the most of relaxing with the dogs in the garden, watching the pet sheep in the adjoining field. The garden is dog safe , which enabled them to wander , whilst we chilled in the excellent hot tub. It has a great flow for entertaining with quality crockery and a full range of serving dishes. Outstanding in all respects but the bed was a bit too hard for us. ((Our past two visits we had stayed in the Old Smithy and slept in the twin beds so this was not a problem)
This visit we stayed in The Old Smithy, (previously stayed multiple times in The Mews). A delightful cottage, very relaxing break, bringing back old memories from previous visits. Each property is finished to a high standard, and gives inspiration for ideas in our own house. Always a warm welcome whenever we visit, and already re-booked for July 2026.
