This is our second stay in Greta Howe. We have stayed in Keswick many times and this has become our favourite accommodation. Everything about it is excellent. We love the quirky interior and the history of the place. The layout really works, it’s cosy and comfortable. Everything you need is provided. The location is ideal.

Having stayed here last summer we booked again for a long weekend to celebrate a family birthday. Extremely spacious accommodation which is ideal for our 2 year grandson :)
It is in a fantastic location and has plenty of free parking which is unusual for the center of Keswick.
We look forward as a family to stay here again in the future.

The flat was really stunning - very different, and everything was excellent quality. Great location if you want to be in the centre but with views - quite a rare thing especially given the cost. There is a lot of history as it was 'Keswick School of Industrial Art" and if you google that you get an excellent photo of what the room looked like 100 years ago.

We had a lovely stay in this holiday property. It was very spacious, had great facilities, and having the town within a few minutes walking distance was perfect. It would have been helpful to have some instructions on how to use the gas fire, as that wasn't included on the tablet. Also, when we arrived, I think the heating had only just been turned on as it was quite chilly and took a while to heat up as the room is very large. I would definitely book again if we were in this area.

We spent a very relaxing week at Greta Howe. The accommodation was fabulous and in a great location. Super comfy beds and modern bathrooms with great showers.

The property is ideally located for walks from the door but also trips to pub on an evening. All 3 bedrooms are spacious and two good bathrooms with showers. The open plan living space has lots of room for large families. Lots of space for parking.

A wonderful, spacious clean property in a perfect location for local shops etc.
The only thing that would be useful is clearer info about what to do when leaving I.e. do we strip beds.

Our time at Greta Howe was thoroughly enjoyable. The fact that it used to be Keswick School of Industrial Art made our stay intriguing. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped with comfortable seating and beds.
The situation of the property made exploring the local area easy by foot. Keswick has much to offer in terms of walks, museums, parks, places to eat and drink, shops etc. We were able to attend a performance in The Theatre by the Lake.
We enjoyed a wonderful few days together at Greta Howe and have made many memories to treasure.

Great property to stay in and lovely views of the hills. Very comfortable and spacious with everything you need. I had brought some "extras" - like hairdryer and kitchen equipment going by previous reviews but didn't need to as owners had obviously read and responded to previous comments. We are regular visitors to Keswick so knew location (2 min walk to start of shops etc) - which was perfect as other family were with us. The grandkids loved going down to mess about at the river - supervised of course! The cafe below was currently closed so had place to ourselves. Could do with some better seating on the balcony (we brought some ourselves). Highly recommend this property. Would visit it again.

Greta Howe is a beautiful and unique apartment close to the centre of Keswick and surrounded by views of the local fells. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living room are very comfortable and well appointed. However, the kitchen is very poorly equiped, there is no hairdryer and no instruction manuals for any of the appliances. Whilst this let the apartment down, overall we enjoyed our stay.

I could not fault the property and the location is perfect for walking and getting into town. I would happily recommend.

We had such a lovely time, weather bright but very cold, then snow which made it magical! A absolutely lovely apartment, warm and welcoming.
Just a few gripes. There was no hairdryer present, I had to go buy one! Not the best equipped cottage that I've stayed. It didn't deter from our stay though. Would benefit with a folder with rules and regs, plus some history of the place and maybe some maps.

All of the properties should contain a hair dryer, these are normally within a hairdryer bag. If this had not been in the property we would have happily been able to drop one off for you so that you did not have to purchase one. Although we do not provide maps within the property, the tablets do have full internet access so that you can look at the local area or plan a walk. We hope it is not too long until your next stay.

Greta Howe is a lovely apartment, set in a great location - approximately a 5-10 minute walk from Keswick centre.

Rooms were spacious and bathrooms are designed to a high standard. The immediate location is peaceful and views from the apartment were stunning.


Would stay again.
