It was disappointing that the apartment had not been fully prepared for a off season booking. The owner had not responded to our concerns that we informed Keswick cottages of.
There were no instructions left out on the table. There was a power pad that hadn't been powered up that would normally provide operating instructions
The freezer was switched off and it wasn't clear how the hob worked

We hope you had a wonderful Winter break in Keswick. We're so sorry that you felt there were some shortcomings with the apartment. This particular property is maintained by the owners, so as soon as you contacted us the owner was notified and called in to see you that day to resolve any concerns. The care we take preparing for guest arrival during the quieter months is no different to peak season, it is always important to us that guests are delighted with their accommodation. The owner apologised as it had been a genuine oversight that the freezer had not been switched back on after defrosting, and the welcome tablet had a faulty charger which was replaced. The instructions for the appliances are available to view on the welcome tablet, but the owner would have been happy to show you how to use the hob had this been mentioned during the visit. We of course hope this would not deter you from returning in the future.

Lovely apartment, well equipped and very comfortable. We have stayed in most of the Bridge House complex and have never been disappointed. The location couldn't be better, and parking onsite is a real plus. We will definitely be booking again.

Bridge House 3 is a well presented, modern apartment with 3 lovely big bedrooms. Kitchen is modern and well stocked (Tassimo coffee machine if you want to plan ahead). It was warm and cosy after long walks out. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away and off street parking for 2 cars. There is also an enclosed garden which is great for the kids or dogs. We had a great stay.

Apartment 3 is an excellent apartment for up to six people, very comfortable and very well equipped in a great location. Two parking spaces are also good with family meeting up from different locations.

Having been to Keswick many times this accommodation more than met our expectations. The location was just as we had hoped but the size of the garden and children's equipment was an added bonus as there was plenty of outside space to sit and for kids to play. The outside area and garden was also well equipped with picnic tables and chairs. The apartment was spacious with good sized rooms and was very well equipped - the addition of an apartment tablet was a great idea. The kitchen had high quality appliances and plenty of utensils etc. We would definitely come back to this apartment and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The apartment is conveniently located, only a couple of minutes walk to the shops, pubs & restaurants. It exceeded my expectations, especially the size of apartment. Two parking spaces also great. We were all impressed & would definitely stay here again.

We stayed as a family of six over Easter. Great to be central in Keswick and to have parking which was easy to access. Co-op right across the road and Boothes around the corner. We used the bus network instead of our car which fun. Enjoyed walking/running around Derwent Water and going to Threlkeld from the apartment. Excellent standard of bathrooms and the kitchen very well equipped. Useful to have a food processor and the washer/dryer after mountain biking in Whinlater. Worth noting the apartment is on the second floor which gives great views across Cat Bells and towards Skiddaw but you do need to carry your luggage up.

Lovely place which we’ve stayed in over the years at various times of the year. Clean, comfortable and ample parking which is a premium in Keswick, cars only moved to go further afield as everything needed on our doorstep. Gorgeous new bathrooms and the main stair well has just been repainted too. Thank you for a very relaxing and homely place to stay

We stayed for a week, 4 adults, one child and a dog during October half term. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious the apartment is. From the photos we did think it would be a bit cramped, but this was not the case. The kitchen is far more spacious than the photos show and is well equipped. The bedrooms are all a good size and very comfy. The washer/dryer is not mentioned but was very welcomed.
Being on the high street we were expecting a lot of traffic noise, whilst there was some it was barely noticeable. The parking 'map' takes some figuring out and the spaces are quite small but useable. The garden is lovely, enclosed for the kids and dogs. The trampoline and swings were a big hit. It would be lovely in the summer.
We did have some issues with cleanliness, such as the crockery being dirty and the bed runners but Keswick cottages rectified this. The overall general cleanliness was good.
The location was excellent for amenities, walks and buses. We hardly used the car all week.

A very comfortable stay in a top floor apartment with views to high fells. Was perfectly situated in town for easy access to shops, market and eateries. Manager was easy to contact and response to our needs was done promptly making sure our stay was smooth. All we had to do was pick whatever adventure we wanted to do each day.

We loved the apartment which was brilliantly set up and had everything we needs for a great holiday in it. The service was great when we needed fresh towels and bedding part way through our stay. The cleaner was lovely and very helpful. We were however very disappointed by the tennis court. This was one of our main reasons for booking at the bridge complex, but it was in a very poor condition. It was overgrown and it wasn't possible in spite of asking to have the foliage cut back. It was desperately in need of a sweep, or even better a pressure wash, as the plant debris all around made it slippery and difficulty to see the lines. We spent ages looking for balls lost in the trailing ivy, several of which could not be found. When an amenity is described for a booking it would be good if that amenity could be properly maintained.

A comfortable well located stay. Easy parking for two cars is a bonus. The outdoor tables were ideal for family meals in the very hot weather.

We really enjoyed our stay in Apartment 3, its in a great location and very comfortable, once again the property was spotlessly clean and with great features. Beds were all comfortable and rest of the apartment is really set up for a relaxing holiday.

Booking through Keswick Cottages is simple and the best customer service we have had in the Lakes (or anywhere else), really helpful and friendly.

Only gripe was the hot water (or lack of it), lots of fiddling to get a hot shower and a bath which was frustrating, we had a small issue over parking on day one but that was quickly resolved, it might help to send out the car park plan along with the directions to the property?

Definitely we will stay again

We booked as part of a large family group celebrating my father’s 80th birthday, and had an excellent stay in this lovely central apartment. Other family members stayed in Bridge cottage and Coleridge cottage. The apartment was well equipped, spacious and in a great location. Plenty of parking and we loved the garden and tennis court.
From the kitchen window these is also a lovely view of Catbells.
We had a wonderful active week in Keswick and even climbed Scafell Pike on my dads 80th birthday…what an achievement! We also hired the small cinema room at the Alhambra cinema to watch Top Gun together which was brilliant! Highly recommend the Alhambra.
Keswick cottages were very helpful and responsive before and during our stay and when we couldn’t find the manual to work the conduction hob (which was easy to use in the end!)
We would definitely recommend Keswick cottages and the bridge apartment 3 as a great place to stay and hope to return. Thank you

Our stay at Apartment 3 was lovely. The location of the apartment was fantastic. The 2 car parking spaces was brilliant. The garden area was lovely and we did sit out in it and we could let our dog have a run round safely. We will definitely be booking with Keswick Cottages again.

Very nice top floor apartment in excellent location at north end of Keswick. Clean and tidy with good supply of dishes, cutlery etc. on site parking for 2 cars and a nice communal patio and lawned area. Living space and bedrooms are a nice size and well fitted. Only one drawback is the 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment.

This was our first visit to the Bridge House apartments and we really enjoyed it . The location is great ( 2 parking spaces in Keswick is a bonus) very central for the lake or town, minutes away from the local supermarket. The apartment itself very comfortable and well equipped. Cleaning pack helpful and tea and coffee to get you started. We will definitely return.

Bridge complex - stayed here many times . This time was as good as always -can’t recommend enough . Facilities are marvellous both inside the properties with all mod cons and spotlessly clean and outside with huge communal garden and allocated carparking spaces . Brilliant .

I've stopped in all 3 of the apartments in the Bridge House complex and Bridge House itself for at least 10 years or more and you can be guaranteed of excellent accommodation. They have a regular refurb programme on all the properties and the location and facilities are top class.

My only comment for apartment 3 is perhaps it would be beneficial to have a pump fitted to the showers, whilst they are ok they could be improved, but it certainly wouldn't stop me booking again.

Have stayed many times and must say apartment still gives value for money as they offer mid week breaks property has been redecorated very tastefully however the bedding has never been replaced over the years and are rather lumpy and uncomfortable. There is a new check in and information appliance that had problems booting and not really an added bonus. Felt I was the one with the IT problem when trying to resolve with member of admin staff however it would not deter me from staying again as hopefully these blips will be resolved.
