We spent a peaceful few days in this lovely Bothy. It is beautifully decorated and has all you need for a relaxing break - large comfy bed, stylish bathroom with shower and separate bath, a well-appointed kitchen, and a car charger if you have an EV. A great place to stay if you want a rural spot near St Andrews. The Bothy is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has gorgeous views across the Eden Valley. We had a super dinner at the Strathkinness Tavern, which is a short drive past the Dairsie Old Parish Church, one of my favourite little churches in Fife, across a pretty old bridge and along the other side of the valley. We would definitely recommend a stay in this special place.

We again found The Bothy at the Old Manse at Dairsie perfect for tranquility and comfort in the East Neuk. Convenient for St Andrews sands, golf links and university; and all that the East Neuk villages, harbours, and beaches offer, at the The Bothy you are removed from all the town hustle and bustle to a pleasant sunny and airy coach house - overlooking its walled garden and leafy green fields, trees and hills.

We were in the area for a family Christmas and wanted our own space to relax.
Easy to find, in a gorgeous country setting. We had a warm welcome from our lovely hosts who had already accepted and unpacked our Tesco shop!
The Bothy feels spacious for 2. Beautiful decor, comfy sofa and beds with beautiful linens.
A great shower and bathroom.
Super views over the country with trains going past in the distance.
We had such a relaxing stay and enjoyed the wood burning stove as we read or watched TV.
Everything had been thought of!
We will definitely be back.

This is our 4th time is staying at either The Bothy or The Beehouse and both are outstanding. It literally is a home from home with everything that you could possibly need being provided by a fantastic host. Biz is friendly, warm and a lovely person but doesn’t interfere with you whilst you are staying. It is set in lovely, peaceful grounds and you may see the odd deer or two at certain times of the year. I would certainly recommend a stay at either property and we will definitely be going back again.

My adult daughter and I stayed at The Bothy in July 2025. The property is absolutely beautiful and in a stunning, very peaceful location. The renovation of the property has been done to a very high standard and the furnishings are also excellent quality. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. There are also basic groceries such as tea/coffee/sugar/oil etc ready for you on arrival.
The cottage comes with access to a lovely walled garden, with garden furniture, and access to a quiet studio area.
The cottage is in a very quiet, rural location about 7/8 minutes drive from Cupar and about 10 minutes drive to St. Andrews so if you want to get out into either town, or further, I recommend having a car (I am not sure about public transport links as we had our own vehicle, but this could be an option). It is really easy to get to St Andrews by car if that is your intention.
The booking process was easy (we booked directly through the website) and the communication from the owner was very clear and through. She checked how we wanted the sleeping arrangements set up (double or twin) and if we needed equipment for a child, and was very helpful.
All in all a beautiful property and we had a lovely stay. We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend the property to others.

We had 4 lovely day's in the Bothy, "Our" Bothy so to speak, what a joy. What a perfect place to be, fully equipped, big bed, bathroom shower and bad, a nice kitchen en room with a view, During day time possibility's to go explore the surrounding. Walking, the beach, a visit to the city, museum at Dundee. And then return to the calm relaxing/chill Bothy. Very helpful host and family.

Perfect location in fife close to town and local shops, great recommendations on local food spots. Comfy beds and great shower! Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Cozy, beautifully furnished stay with the loveliest of views of the rolling fields perfect for early mornings and luckily for us the sunny summer evenings. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to return.

We stayed in the Bothy for two peaceful nights when we were exploring the small coastal Fife villages and St. Andrews.
The Bothy was perfectly placed to explore the area.
The apartment in a converted barn was beautifully furnished, well equipped and very clean- definitely 5 star!
Elizabeth was the perfect host who so friendly and helpful.
We loved the fact that it was surrounded by fields and totally peaceful.

We again thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bothy having previously stayed at the Beehouse.
Guy and Elizabeth are great hosts and attention to detail is spot on.

We booked The Bothy for a short stay to get away from the city and it was amazing. It far exceeded our high expectations and we will definitely be back again. We were able to bring our dog with us which was lovely and what really made it was such gorgeous decor and finishing touches. The views are just so wonderful; we could see deer grazing in the fields closeby and we could walk straight from the property for miles.
