Have been coming to Fingals for over 30 years and always prefer to come here where you have all the conveniences and facilities but none of the fussiness of most hotels. Great for kids that want to enjoy the swimming pool and games room but also close to towns like Dartmouth and Totnes. Richard and Shelia, who run the place, are very hospitable and considerate.
Thank you so much for a fantastic stay, the facilities and setting were just amazing. We all had a fabulous time, would love to come back.
The location is excellent. We attended one of the art courses at Coombs Farm Studio. So the location of Fingals is perfect. Beautiful garden and well maintained.
We have had the most enjoyable time at The Folly, it is a magical little place and, although we were extremely lucky to have gorgeous weather, the place is light-filled, restful and calming. With that said the facilities provide a wide range of activities to keep you occupied when you’re not exploring the surrounding area which is stunning. Sitting by the babbling brook was relaxing way to spend a warm lunchtime and breakfast on the balcony watching the gambolling lambs in the field was a treat. Thank you Sheila and Richard for being such friendly and relaxed hosts, we’ll be back!
Fantastic venue. Rooms beautiful, beds comfy, mostly ensuite, great quirky ambience to rooms, kitchens well equipped. Tons and tons of room to either chill out on your own or have great fun with everyone. The games room, heated pool, grass tennus court, the kids slept well theywere so knackered. We stayed there all weekend never left, no need too. Highly reccomend, go and stay!
Barberry Brook was warm and peaceful. The bath is quite difficult to access but the bed was comfortable and there is a lovely stream running outside. The location is beautiful so can recommend this for a peaceful stay in a lovely part of Devon.
