Very good equipped house with lovely enclosed garden. Without the following points of critique definitely a five star rating.

Two points of critique:
1) There should have been a sound barrier between the M2 and the house to my opinion. The bushes simply don't cut the blocking on their own. We knew in advance the proximity of the highway but we did expect more measures would have been taken to bring down noise levels. I know it is impossible to make the noise completely disappear, but bringing it down by a certain amount of decibels would make using the garden more enjoyable.
2) There are indeed surveillance cameras on the premises. What I do not appreciate is that the warning sign is not directly visible on entry (near front or back door?) but one must accidentally run into it as it is put up at the side of the house. There was to my knowledge no mentioning of them whilst booking our stay.

Recommendation to the owner: Please invest in smart light bulbs (like IKEA ones) to be able to dim the ceiling lights. The warm dimmed lights near the coach and luxury sitting chairs are totally overcast by the enormous bright ceiling lights. Which is a real shame as with some proper lightning the living space could be a pleasant place to spend the evening.

We recently stayed at The Kennels Holiday Cottage and, while the property itself is beautiful, we had a very concerning experience. The cottage is charming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The walled garden is a real gem — peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing. On the surface, it seemed like an ideal getaway.

However, after our stay, we discovered that we had been filmed on the property without our knowledge or consent. This is a serious violation of privacy and a direct breach of GDPR and ICO guidelines. Guests have a legal right to be informed of any surveillance taking place, and in this instance, no such disclosure was made.

Filming individuals in a private holiday rental without explicit consent is unacceptable, unethical, and illegal. This not only ruined what could have been a perfect stay but also raised serious concerns about how guest data is being handled. The cameras are located on the gate overlooking the shared rear access, on the gutter at the side of the property overlooking a storage room and on the rear of the property overlooking the garden and main outdoor seating area.

While the cottage and garden are undeniably lovely, the covert filming and breach of privacy overshadowed everything. We sincerely hope the owners take immediate action to comply with GDPR regulations and respect the rights of future guests. The company we booked through, Bloom Stays have now updated the listing to state 'security' cameras are on the property. Hopefully the owners will ensure that this is also updated on all listing's that the property is advertised

Beautiful property presented in immaculate condition with all the mod cons for a very comfortable stay.
The walled garden was a lovely place to hang out for some fresh country air, even on a chilly October day.

Very modern, beautifully furnished home. A lot of space. We absolutely loved it! Also nice and helpfull neighbours. The noise of the high way is present in the garden, but not in the house.

We booked a week stay whilst having some home improvements and the Kennels was just what we were looking for!

The beds were very comfortable, the garden was gorgeous and the roses smelt amazing. Good location from Faversham too, as it’s not too far. Neighbours are absolutely lovely!

My only slightly negative feedback - the hot water is insanely hot, there are stickers to warn you, but I was super worried about my 4 year old scolding himself accidentally. The other was there were a lot of ants in the property! We kept the place free of food but it didn’t help. I’m also sure if I had mentioned both these things at the time of the stay Bloom/Julie would have rectified.

Lovely property. Well thought out hosting and nice touches (like milk, coffee, board games & Netflix). We were super comfortable, quiet and relaxing.

Directions made it easy to find, although could have done with the directions being sent in all comms to avoid them being missed.
If the garden furniture was moved to the top right hand side of the garden it would get the sun through to late in the evening.
Coffee machine was a little tricky to figure out, and could have done with some instructions.

We struggle to find cottages with secure outside space where our dog can't see traffic, people or livestock just over the fence. The Kennels is ideal with the walled garden. Location for us was perfect as we used to live locally and were visiting family and friends. I'd love to be able to see out the living room windows but it's a trade off. It's a great area for walks and Faversham has wonderful ancient pubs. A blind and some non stick pans would have improved things further.

The pictures don't do the property justice it's possibly one of the best we've stayed at.
We stayed in January in a cold spell and property was comfortable even with one radiator not working in the lounge the log burner was nice bed comfortable and the shower powerful.
The only negatives were motorway noise and no welcome pack of any description but would definitely stay there again

Absolutely beautiful place. Huge garden. The pictures don't do it justice!!! 10/10. The only issue was location. Its quite remote. You a reach things by car easily, but a walk to the pub or a dog walk from the property isn't feasible. However I wouldn't hesitate to return as its such a wonderful stay.

This house is a great location for seeing nice bits of Kent. It’s got a massive open plan living room /kitchen area with a lovely high ceiling and wood burning stove and a big garden all perfect if you have kids. The kitchen is nice and big too, lots of room if you’re cooking. It feels very luxurious and comfortable, a real treat to stay in.
