The Old Post Office was a perfect choice for our group of grandparents, children and grandchildren. We grandparents chose the self-contained annex in the garden, leaving the kids and the grandchildren the run of the house. A well appointed kitchen and large dining room was great for communal cooking, eating together and for late night games of Risk, Monopoly and Cards of Humanity. Its a very old house with loads of character and we all had a thoroughly great time. The extensive gardens on the property were great for exploring with the grandchildren and its perfectly located for exploring Flat...more
We are really enjoying our stay here. All the bedrooms are spacious and the beds are large and comfortable. The views are fantastic and it is uplifting to watch the wildlife such as the pheasants strut up and down. There have been glorious sunrises if you have a mind to drag yourself out of the snug beds. Everything is here that you need for a holiday and if there are any questions Christopher the Estate Manager is easily available and extremely helpful. Charlie the General manager is friendly and goes out of his way to accommodate requests. If you need to exercise the gardens are large and we...more
We arrived 8 months pregnant with our 2 year old to get some space for the imminent arrival of our son in lockdown. Crown cottage was the perfect place to welcome Magnus to the world and had everything we needed and Sophia the owner is super helpful.
Well equipped cottage in a central location. Welcome basket was a nice touch. Stairs may not be suitable for the elderly.
Nice cottage in incredible rural environment. All there to feel home & close to all necessary facilities & sightseeing, leisure activities Perfect & smooth organization from idyllic suffolk team
Whilst the nature of our stay prevented us from exploring the wider area, we couldn't have chosen a more beautiful cottage to spend fourteen days in quarantine. It is spacious, well equipped and has that quintessential old world English charm that epitomises Constable Country. We would most definitely stay here again and hopefully under different circumstances, in the near future, will be able to discover the delights of this part of the South Suffolk and north Essex countryside depicted by John Constable.
Nice lodge that is in a quiet location and ideal if you are looking for somewhere restful and private. Have stayed here twice and have always enjoyed our holidays.
