We have stayed in other bungalows before, and enjoyed our stay at Dart Vale. The decor and facilities were great, and worked well for us plus a dog, to care for my mum who lives in the village. Not quite a river view, sadly!
Only downside is the lack of heating, which leaves the bungalow damp throughout. The chalet isnt any cheaper than others that have regular heating included in the price, and electricity has to be paid for through a meter. The towel rail, for instance, doesnt really dry the towels, and it is too cold in October to open the windows all the time.
Probably lovely in the summer.

This was our sixth time in this bungelow ,we think that says it all ! Always clean ,always the milk and tea for a cuppa after a long journey to the west .The site is so peaceful and relaxing and a good place to use as a base for getting around the area

We have now visited here 5 times and intend, health permitting, to keep going back". Dart Vale" suits our requirements very well as does the Bungalow site which is well kept. We have never had to complain about anything at all not even the weather. If you need a quiet holiday, choice of bungalows and good access to enjoy Torbay and the South Hams this the place

My wife, me and our dog Willow (old English Sheepdog) stayed at Dart Vale The first two weeks of September 2022. We have stayed there before and as before the place was spotless and everything we needed was there, even tea, coffee and milk for when we arrived. We like staying in Galmpton as we use it for our base with so many places to visit and our dog loves Goodrington Sands. Unfortunately, we think the bungalow is looking a little tired. Wallpaper in some places is coming away from the wall, the furniture is looking dated and is uncomfortable, some of the radiators are going rusty and the toilet seat needs changing as it is stained. Sorry for some of the negatives but we still had a brilliant holiday.
