Beware of Google maps when looking for directions to this apartment. It told us to turn left when we got to the sea front, when we should have gone right.

Our stay was generally enjoyable. The apartment was modern, clean and in good condition. But there were a few aspects that could have been better.

The owners do not give you the key box code until the flat has been cleaned. That meant that we were considerably into our journey before we were confident that we would be able to get in.

The bathroom in our apartment was clean and in good condition. However, it was cramped with little or no space to leave toiletries, toothbrushes etc. A shelf would have been helpful.

The kitchen was also fine but there were no instructions for the microwave, hob or oven. We had to set the microwave oven for twice the usual time in order to get good results. Even at the top setting the toaster produced limp bread. A pair of kitchen scissors would have been helpful. And so would a washing up basin. The owners had removed it because of Covid.

The laundry room was closed for the same reason.

There was Free View television. The Netflix did not work but we chose not to ask the owners to see to that.

We originally booked a different apartment but it appeared there was a problem with it in the days before our arrival. We were offered Crabby Cove or a refund which showed how customer orientated the owners are. They provided excellent information throughout the booking and arrival process.
Check in is simple and the apartment suited our needs in terms of facilities and location. We went to Paignton for a relaxing break and Crabby Cove played its part in helping us achieve that. Superb customer support from Steve and Tina

The only thing that was a small thing wrong was that the pensioners that were with me felt that the furniture was too low for them they had problems getting up from them.. apart from that it's a beautiful flat.

Great stay in crabby cove! Highly recommend, definitely booking again very soon. Very reasonable price, beautiful location with lots of different things to do for all ages! Can’t wait to go back.

A Fantastic location to stay and to travel. I would highly recommend it. The apartment itself was also very clean and nicely decorated. i also liked how the owners had taken time to decorate the apartment nicely also.

The 2nd time of staying here, it’s absolutely fabulous. From walking into the property with the lovely smell of new carpets and hand gel to use, everything is so well thought of. Tina & Steve have made the best use of every corner of space and everything is so comfortable. You don’t feel they have gone cheap on anything.
That said this is my last review, it’s our little secret, From being the 1st to stay in one of the other apartments we want to always be able to come back, so sshh!

Hi June, Wanted to just reply to your review, we are upset to have received your poor review after spending a lot of hard work upgrading apartments. Decor excellent: Thank you, we closed in October last year to start refurbishment of the 11 apartments, including central heating system, removal of coin meters in apartments and refurbishment of all areas to name a few things. No hangers in wardrobe: sorry to hear this, sometimes guests accidentally take these when they leave, we would have been happy to replace them if you had let us know, same with any issues guests find. no instructions regarding cooker and microwave: Would have been happy to talk you through this if you had a problem using the cooker and microwave. no washing up bowl: We currently don’t provide washing up bowls due to Covid-19, we have to wash up everything on change overs. no tea pot: Same as above. No personal service . Sunnybeach is self catering holiday apartments, a personal service is something you usually would find in a hotel rather than self catering unfortunately. However we are on the phone / Email / text for any problems. Kind regards Tina
