Pear Tree Cottage, which is located in Upper Oddington, boasts a modern interior mixed with traditional Cotswold features. The beautiful garden and terrace is the perfect place to relax and put your feet up after a busy day of exploring the Cotswolds. Located just outside the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, where there is a plethora of restaurants, pubs and eateries.

Pear Tree Cottage was perfect for our family stay - 7 adults plus a toddler for a long weekend. Spacious rooms, very well equipped, great location, cosy log fires and useful boot room (both essentials for a cold, muddy February weekend!) We had a very enjoyable short break and would definitely consider returning sometime.

We stayed at Pear Tree Cottage for a long weekend with friends, there were 4 couples and 3 babies. The house was perfect for a stay like this - every room was a decent size and even the smallest double was still a good size to fit a travel cot too. There were also 4 bathrooms (3 en suite and 1 family bath) so every room/couple had their own which was fab and rare to find.
The house was really well equipped with a well stocked kitchen (not just cookware but little things like condiments and various useful items in the cupboards), plenty of dining space, plates, saucepans etc, 2 sitting rooms, lovely log burners and so on. It felt more like a family home than a holiday let as it was very homely (including decor wise, as if someone had lived there full time previously) and had everything you needed unlike some holiday lets that are very basic and lacking useful bits of kitchenware etc.
There was also plenty of space for parking within the gated driveway and although we didn’t use it, what appeared to a nice good size garden which would be great in the summer.
We were left a lovely hamper when we arrived with some delightful bread, butter and so on. We also spoke to the property manager Kevin who was very helpful.
The only slight negative would be the poor WiFi, there is no signal at the house which is understandable given you’re in the middle of the countryside but the WiFi could be better and although worked downstairs, didn’t seem to reach upstairs so a few boosters could be helpful. This wouldn’t be an issue for everyone but some of the party would have preferred better WiFi. We also forgot a speaker so might be useful if there was a speaker available although appreciate this is an extra!
The location was great, near to Daylesford, great pubs and nice walks.
We thought the house overall was great and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with 4 adults, 3 under 5 and a new born - it was perfect for our needs and requirements.
Plenty of outdoor space, as well as a spacious interior with various breakout rooms.

Local pubs are a short walk and supermarkets are a short drive.

Truth be told, we will be booking this again next year - if they will have us back!

A very comfortable, well appointed property within walking distance of an excellent, cosy pub and close to Stow on the Wold.
Beautiful gardens and ideal for a larger group or family reunion.

The stay at Pear Tree Cottage for our family celebrations was just right. We were 6 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler and 1 baby.
The kitchen/dining area was well equipped and spacious. All the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the close proximity of the pub in the village, the Horse and Groom, for a meal out.

As a group of old school friends we go away each year for a weekend to escape work, children, husbands (!), and life’s general craziness. Pear Tree Cottage is everything we needed. It’s beautiful, quiet, charming, and extremely well equipped so we didn’t need to venture out really at all. The hosts were very responsive and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage has enough rooms/space that we never felt on top of each other. The kitchen has more utensils than most of us have in our own homes. The cottage is old so did get a little cold at times, but once we got the fires going it was super cosy and warm! The outside area is an added bonus with an abundance of seating areas for whatever vibe you want. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend together and we’re already on the lookout for a house for next year, although I think we’ll be hard pushed to find somewhere better! Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Cottage and knew what to expect having stayed previously. The facilities are excellent for an extended family/ friends and there is a very nice pub over a stile from the garden and another in walking distance.

We booked Peartree Cottage for a Family holiday to the Cotswold.
The house was incredibly beautiful and I was so pleased on arrival that we booked this house.

We were a family of 7 with 2 toddlers and it was so perfect.
The kitchen/ Diner is amazing and spacious and felt more than big enough for the 9 of us.
The house is equipped with anything and everything you need!
The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic - we had a bbq every evening and it was such a great set up out there.

All the bedrooms were lovely and spacious and with en-suites and a big main bathroom.

We would book this house over and over again.

StayCotswold was fantastic and easy to book through and everything was so smooth.
Dominic was so helpful and gave us some fab recommendations for the area and things to do.

A very much enjoyed Easter break!

The cottage is well equipped down stairs. The tray of goodies on arrival were excellent and very appreciated. On arrival we noted that the outside area was not well swept and the chairs round the bar area need repainting. One of the cushion boxes was left open and the cushions we’re full of water, we reported this and attempted to dry off the cushions. One of the wooden loungers was broken. Apart from the main bedroom the furniture in the others needs updating or at least proper bed side tables provided, there is no hanging space in the top bedroom. Finally it would have been useful to have some information on how the burglar alarm, lights and heating work plus what was expected on leaving the house, eg, should we have stripped the bed.

Despite the niggles above we did enjoy our stay. The location is excellent and the pub over the wall very good.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found Pear Tree Cottage to be in an excellent location and well equipped. We are sorry that the previous guests had left one of the cushion boxes open and that the cushions were damp. The garden chairs have been used throughout the summer so are showing signs of wear and tear which will be addressed once the summer season comes to an end. The owners have confirmed that the gardener comes on a weekly basis to tidy the garden however the trees have been shedding their leaves significantly and unseasonably due to the hot summer. There is a small hanging rack in the top floor bedroom however due to size restraints the owners were unable to add a full-sized wardrobe. There is a copy of the welcome information at the property which gives instructions for the heating, hot water and alarms systems, also a phone number and email address were provided for the Property Manager who you can contact should you have needed any further assistance with the heating and appliances. We do hope that you will be back to stay at Pear Tree Cottage again soon!

Our only negative comment, and it’s not really that negative is,……be careful of the hood top over the range, the scars on my forehead will attest that cooking can be hazardous!

Please don't stay here. Otherwise it may not be available for me! Just the most stunning house and location. The Stay Cotswold team, the owner and the house keeper were fantastic throughout. One of our best staycations ever. Will definitely rebook.

Pear Tree suited the 8 of us beautifully. A great location for walks and cycling not to mention the pub!
The house is very comfortable with plenty of space to gather, or relax We had a couple of questions whilst there and they were addressed promptly and were very helpful.
