We had a wonderful few days here . Was a beautiful cottage that was clean ,spacious and in an excellent position close to the town centre ..Great parking for cars right outside front door in a private country estate .
We had exceptionally hot weather and made good use of hot tub . The garden was lovely with plenty garden furniture ,bbq and lots of shade . I would suggest you take fans with you as bedrooms were very hot at night.
The only thing I could fault was the very busy main road that runs along the bottom of cottage garden ,sitting outdoors wasn’t a peaceful experience.

I'll start with the bad and then move onto the more positive hoping that by the time YOU stay its just the latter part and then we're all happy. Within minutes (literally 15:47) of arriving we alerted Stay Cotswold of a virtually constant leaking overflow pipe that drowned out the our talk in the garden and kept my elderly father up all stay as it was the wall of his bedroom.. I sent the agency about 10 videos of different times this was leaking and the constant DIN it was causing splashing against the wall and slabs. They. sent someone at 16:00 on our last night who Informed us that it was major works and someone would attend once we left. Then at 17:30 a second plumber came and we updated him saying the works were planned after us vacating.

The HOT water temperature must have been close to 80 degrees. It was scolding so we stuck to only using basins with mixers. We were all adults so managed. Again reported but ignored until after we left.

The beds and sofa are so uncomfortable. The main 2 bedrooms beds are just springs! The persons in these rooms had the WORST nights sleeps in the best rooms. A crying shame!

The windows of the property and conservatory were FILTHY! You could write your name in them. In fact children before us had scribed sad faces and write CLEAN ME! The actually house was SPOTLESS, the kitchen, bathrooms and rooms were very clean. But majorly let down by the filthy windows. The sofas in the lounge are beautiful to look at but again so uncomfortable as they have no depth. We tolerated this.

The location is AMAZING, we loved the backgate access to the High Street. The road was busy but we knew this when we booked so can't complain. Although it did feel to have an excessive amount of large trucks using it constantly. More an observation than a complaint.

I reached out to the owner with the above. The reply was so dismissive and cold that I felt I had to warn others. I kept a log of all the contacts to raise the concerns which the owner dismissed in his reply and simply said 'we refused the plumber entry who had arrived promptly (what 2 days late and on our last evening...wow). I wasn't going to raise cleanliness as an issue but because his response was a factious I thought I would be honest and again ALL the photos of ALL the things mentioned have been sent to Stay Cotswolds.

We were disappointed to receive your review, particularly as the issues had already been discussed and responded to privately, although we appreciate that the outcome was not what you had hoped for. We are sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. You notified us promptly about the issue with the overflow pipe, and this was passed immediately to the property manager, who is responsible for maintenance of the property as outlined in your pre-arrival information. The property manager has confirmed that the plumber was unfortunately delayed due to an ongoing job he was unable to leave, however he attended as soon as he was able. Regrettably, this was not properly communicated to you, which meant you had to chase for an update. We apologise for this and will raise it with the property manager to prevent similar issues in future. Sadly, at the time of the plumber’s arrival, he was refused access to the property by a member of your party, which meant he was unable to investigate or resolve the matter during your stay. With regard to the hot water temperature, our post-stay investigation confirmed that an override switch within the property had been activated by a member of your party. Had the plumber been able to access the property when he attended, this could have been identified and resolved quickly. This override has now been decommissioned to avoid similar issues going forward. We are sorry that the mattresses and sofas were not to your personal preference. Comfort can be subjective, but we can confirm that these items are in good condition and are regularly inspected. In relation to your comments about the windows, it appears that a layer of dust had built up on the interior panes, although we are pleased that you found the rest of the house to be spotless. The exterior windows are cleaned on a routine schedule, but depending on the weather and the property’s location, some marking can occur between cleans. We will ensure the housekeeping team attends to the internal windows during their next visit. We are glad to hear that overall, you enjoyed the location and appreciated the direct access to the High Street.

The house was great and position is great for the village (note a bit noisy from the road). There were lots of cobwebs in the house and the sofas were really uncomfortable. The bedding and pillows were also uncomfortable and some of the windows did not close properly meaning it was quite cold at night. The radiator in the sitting did not work at all but there was an electric heater we used. It’s a great house but for the price it is not finished or presented to a high level. We had a great time and it is good but we have stayed in places which have been similar and the finish and quality has been much better.

Lovely property overall & perfect for our family get together. Fabulous location, close to anything you need and more. It’s two properties joined together which has resulted in some issues with low ceilings where the stairs have been reconfigured. The overall living area, kitchen, dining room etc were great - and the bedrooms themselves were great too. Where the property lets itself down was the bathrooms and toilets. They are showing signs of their age and need upgrading - in terms of decor and also the toilets & sinks themselves etc.
The windows throughout the property also need some attention - some were difficult to open, had rotten wood etc.
Given the price of the accomodation we would have expected a consistent level of quality throughout.
We did have an issue with one of the bathrooms actually flooding but this was dealt with by the management company.

The accommodation was suitable for our needs, it was nicely decorated (apart from the inappropriate picture on landing) cosy and a great location as it was easily accessible to the town.
The only downsides were the hot tub didn’t work and we had to contact the manager. It was only ready to use Sunday morning and we had to leave on Sunday so didn’t get our use of it and that was a one of the reasons we chose this accommodation.
Also the heating didn’t work in the some of the bedrooms, there was some cobwebs and dishwasher tablets weren’t provided

We are sorry to learn about the issues you experienced with the hot tub during your stay. Your feedback has been shared with the property manager, who has apologised that you were unable to use the hot tub as planned and has confirmed that the issue has now been fully resolved and the hot tub is operating correctly. He has also apologised that the heating was not working effectively in the downstairs bedroom and advised that heaters were provided to ensure your comfort. Regarding the kitchen supplies, the property manager has confirmed that a starter pack is provided and that four dishwasher tablets were left for your stay, with additional tablets stored beneath the sink. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to the Cotswolds in the future.

We had a lovely stay at 3 & 4 Hawthorn cottage in Stow. It’s a beautiful property — spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and full of thoughtful touches. The Christmas tree and lights made it feel extra special and welcoming.

There were, however, a few issues worth mentioning. The radiator in one of the bedrooms wasn’t working. The owner did send someone out to look at it, but we were told a part was needed and it wasn’t repaired during our stay, so that room was quite cold. The rest of the property was very warm and cosy. There were also no toiletries in any of the bathrooms — all the bottles were empty — and there weren’t enough dishwashing tablets or washing-up liquid for the stay. Minor issues not really a problem for us. Just constructive feedback.

Overall, we would stay again because the cottage is lovely and in a great location, but it would really help if the owner ensured everything is in working order and basic supplies are properly topped up before guests arrive. We brought our own supplies but some guests might not. Like I said not a problem for us just some constructive feedback. Kevin was quick to respond to communication.

Supplies were limited. Pans I. Cupboard were dirty. All needed to be scrubbed before using. The garden is nice but backs onto a very very busy road with large lorries early in the morning. Very difficult getting information. There was a real disconnect between the booking agent and the property manager. Booking agent basically washed their hands of the rental once it was rented. No one really seemed concerned about the customer experience. Heating was inconsistent across the house. Two bedrooms on one side were very chilly with only one radiator in them. On the positive it is a very sizable house which is difficult to find so close to village center.

In sum, the most disappointing part was that no one seemed concerned about our experiences will not book with you again. Other booking companies are more in touch, providing more local supplies for a welcoming experience.

The house is ideally located for the village and for exploring the area in general. There were some snags that we reported but they were promptly dealt with by Kevin.
The bathrooms could do with towel rails for bigger towels and also some hooks would be useful. The WiFi was slow and the connection details displayed in the house were for the smart TV and not for our mobile phones!

Lovely spacious country cottage, good areas for cooking, dining and sitting. The outside hot tub was a nice feature. Situated close to the town centre, only a 5 minute walk to the shops. The place has been recently renovated to a high specification. Would stay again.
