Guinea Cottage is a cosy dog friendly holiday home on the outskirts of Upper Seagry, an attractive village nestled in the Wiltshire countryside. Enjoying spectacular rural views from its private garden, this wonderful two bedroom home with wood burning stove is the ideal base from which to explore the South Cotswolds and you may also enjoy a day trip to Bath or Bristol.

Perfect little cottage for a few nights stay. We arrived a bit early and Eliza was kind enough to let us go in, a welcoming fire had already been lit in the log burner, which was a nice touch along with a welcome package of wine, chocolates and mince pies.
The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with a lovely recently refurbished shower room.
There is a safe enclosed garden for the dog and a couple of decent walks directly from the cottage.
Would highly recommend, if planning a stay in the area, also very convenient for the M4

It was a great time, the place is gorgeous. We didn´t find the place at first but Richard was super solicitous!. Super recommended cottage.

A picturesque, dog friendly, little cottage. We had a lovely, relaxing short break. A pretty, enclosed garden which the dogs could enjoy. Beautiful location, ideal for local walks and great food in some of the local pubs.

Lovely comfortable little cottage on the grounds of a working farm. Probably the best shower I've experienced in a holiday cottage!! All on one level and small contained garden area which was perfect for our senior dog.

Guinea Cottage looks just like it does on the photos and is a beautiful, well appointed cottage. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, with the enclosed garden perfect for the dogs. The bathroom was also well stocked and we had big, fluffy bath towels, which was a really nice touch!

For us, it was a great location - just be mindful when booking that it is up to an hours drive to most attractions/places in the Cotswolds from the cottage.

The front door is a little stiff, we did have to move the sofa in order to watch the tv comfortably of an evening, and the shower head needs either deep cleaning or replacing entirely, but these were minor gripes that did not impede our overall stay. Whilst we didn't have need of them, our hosts were friendly and welcoming and made it clear we could call on them if required.

We would recommend Guinea Cottage for a relaxing, home away from home trip to a beautiful part of England!

The cottage is in a secluded location with easy access to main roads. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped.

On our arrival there was no-one there to meet us as specified in the check-in details and we had to phone the owner to obtain the code to the key box. The basin in the bathroom had a sizeable crack in it that looked as though it had been there for some time. A big sticking point was the front door to the cottage. It was extremely difficult to pull open and to shut. In fact, only one of our party could do this unaided.

It would have been courteous of the gardener/lady with the 4 dogs to have asked about coming back and forth through our garden.

Finally, I think the additional charge of £40.00 for bringing a pet is excessive.

We really enjoyed our stay at Guinea Cottage. It was cosy and tastefully decorated with a well equipped kitchen. Conveniently situated for access to main roads for visiting other attractions. You could hear the M4 traffic when walking in the fields nearby but not a problem when inside the cottage. Our only critisism was loo was not spotless when we arrived, which doesn’t help with first impressions, but possibly due to the fact we did arrive a few minutes early so maybe cleaning was not quite complete? Other than that would definitely recommend.

The cottage is in a lovely location with fantastic views.

Most of the cottage is well decorated. The basin in the wet room has a crack in it and the shower wasn’t that powerful but that is the only negative. Log fire was great on what was a very cold weekend. We did have to buy more logs for the second night at a nearby garage which we were advised about in the welcome book.

We didn’t notice the sound of the M4 nearby. There are lovely walks around the area and some good pubs. We would recommend the Wellesley Arms at Sutton Berger.

We would definitely recommend Guinea Cottage and imagine it would be especially lovely from March to September.

Spent mon -friday at guinea cottage it is so cute . The beds are so comfortable , and my dog was safe in the enclosed garden area . The owner was very pleasant and helpull he met us on meet and greet as he lives close to hand too ..loved seeing the chickens & guinea fowl in the garden early morning . A stunning little cottage and really enjoyed our stay . Definitely reccomend it 100 %

The cottage was a very nice dog friendly property within an ideal location for visiting the Cotswold and surrounding areas.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating providing us with lovely fresh farm produce.
The garden was enclosed providing a perfect location for the dogs.
The BBQ came in very useful for the first day which proved to be the hottest on record.
Parking was available right by the front door for ease of access with luggage.
Excellent wifi available if required.
All in all a most relaxing holiday and well recommended to anyone. We will certainly be returning at the next most suitable opportunity.

Very basic kitchen equipment.
Oven needed cleaning, bathroom basin cracked. Wet room floor in need of deep clean.
Bedding and towels were clean and beds comfortable.
Host was very pleasant.

The owner has already responded to say they personally have undertaken a deep clean of the bathroom and apologise that the housekeeping was not up to its usual standard on this occasion. We have just stayed for approx 30 days as we transition from overseas. The property is well equipped for longer stays and a good quality king size bed ensures decent sleep.
The owners are on hand and incredibly helpful to answer any questions plus deal with any logistics.
We explored a considerable amount of local area with great ease and multiple walking trips directly from the house to the myriad of pubs in the vicinity.
Great place and wonderful landlords.
