Had a fabulous stay. Beautiful accommodation that had everything you needed. Went during the heatwave and rooms were unbearably hot but got in touch with our contact Hamilton and he went out and purchased a fan and delivered it to our room and it made a massive difference. You cannot fault customer service as good as that. We loved it. So central too everything on your doorstep. And everyone we met were so friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, lovely sitting room, well equipped kitchen and the whole place was light and airy. Would definitely recommend to anyone although there were a few steep stairs to the room so maybe not for anyone with mobility issues. Would definitely stay here again

The flat was absolutely wonderful -- clean, well-appointed, comfortable, centrally located, and very charming. It was a great home base from which to explore the Cotswolds. Highly recommended!

However, we discovered on our first night that virtually the entire town of Stow-on-the-Wold would shut down each afternoon due to a semi-annual "Gypsy horse fair" occurring nearby. (This apparently is the result of theft and vandalism in years past on the part of the fair's participants.) Shops and restaurants closed throughout the village, and dinner was available only to those visitors staying at inns with restaurants. This was very inconvenient for us, having not rented a car for the trip; luckily, the local bus services enabled us to plan around the closures, and we made sure to eat dinner and visit pubs in other towns before returning to the flat for the evening (although we discovered that nearby Bourton-on-the-Water also shuts down).

Because StayCotswold did not alert us to the above before we booked the flat, I've rated Customer Service as Very Poor. Please be aware that the horse fair is held each May and October; it appeared that most businesses were closed Monday through Friday. A small Coop market with a security guard remained open until 10pm each night.

We can appreciate that you stayed within the week of the Horse Fair which is a cultural and historical fair that is well known within the area and fully disclosed on our website under the 'Things to note' section, shown below. 'The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates'. We hope that overall you enjoyed your time exploring The Cotswolds and hope to be able to welcome you back again soon.

The flat was beautiful! It was SO well equipped and the beds were SO comfortable. The entrance smelt a little fusty, but when inside the flat, it was stunning and clean. It was a little disappointing being able to check in at 5pm and the TV didn’t have all UK channels/apps. The shower in the main bedroom also spurted out hot, boiling water randomly then went cold.
Overall, it was lovely.

We loved our stay in the Cotswolds. This is a perfect jumping off place to explore all the neighboring towns. Parking was super easy, wifi was really strong, beds were comfortable! Would come back.

Very well organised by Stay Cotswold both on the run-up, during and post stay. Owner also very kind welcome message. Bottle of Prosecco was a nice treat! A couple of practical things would have been handy (something to do the washing up with, more than just 1 tea towel, a hook in the bathroom, somewhere/a shelf to stand toiletries - otherwise its just the cistern, a bedside lamp upstairs) It was quite spartan (e.g. just 2 tea bags, no starter logs, no small milk etc) and although we did bring our own supplies, it was lacking a little immediate useability. There was a light out upstairs, and a bedside lamp missing, so it felt too dark to enjoy the tub. Not the owners, or apartment's, fault but the overflowing bins in the alleyway by the entrance is a shame - it didn't feel like they were being collected, so is a bit of an unpleasing aesthetic given the advertising photo.
Very sweet apartment though inside, nicely decorated & and we enjoyed our stay.

Required improvement : downstairs bedroom very drafty from the chimney , not enough saucepans in the kitchen , unit in kitchen that could house plates , bowls etc and this would give more kitchen space for saucepans and oven dishes for food to go in after cooked . The dishwasher doesn’t house the big plates properly . Couldn’t shut door in the upstairs bedroom in loft space . Mirror in upstairs bathroom not clear like a small dome mirror door mat to place shoes and boots on

We had a lovely few days at Hamilton's apartment. It is in the heart of Stow and is beautifully decorated and cosy. We had everything we needed and a lovely hamper of goodies on our arrival. I would highly recommend to friends and family and will definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in Flat 2, located right in the centre of town with all of pretty Stow on your doorstep. The flat was well equipped for our stay with our 4 year old and 4 month old baby. As to be expected with old Cotswold buildings, the stairs up to the flat and internally were pretty steep but our 4 year old managed to navigate them ok. The flat is beautifully furnished and decorated and well equipped if you wanted to self cater. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a bolthole in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Location was fantastic, the apartment was lovely and had everything we could have needed and more; the welcome pack with butter, milk, bread etc was a lovely unexpected but appreciated touch. Would definitely recommend here as somewhere to stay in the Cotswolds

Beautiful flat full of character in the heart of Stow on the Wold with everything on your doorstep. The flat is immaculate and beautifully furnished giving a really cosy Cotswold cottage feel. Split across two levels is does have a cottage/house feeling. I had a great stay of 3 nights and would definitely like to return at some point. I'm currently thinking up ways I can re-create the feel in my London flat! There is no parking spot with the flat but I was advised which streets had free parking prior to arriving and one of them is accessible just across the road, down a small alley a few minutes walk away so this was not a problem. The entrance steps and internal stairs are fairly steep which is all part of the Cotswolds character and appeal but may be challenging if you have certain mobility issues.
