Cedar Cottage is a superb holiday home in picturesque Bourton-on-the-Water. With spacious, contemporary interiors and a relaxing enclosed garden at the rear, this is a wonderful dog friendly cottage to share with friends or family whilst exploring the North Cotswolds.

This was a lovely house but although says Bourton it’s 1mile from town which meant driving and no taxis available due to Cheltenham festiva
House for this reason would not be a first choice next time

The village center is a 15-20 minute walk away as per the property listing confirms. Taxi's are hard to find in the Cotswolds and we always suggest prebooking to avoid disappointment. We were 4 adults & dog,would have found the sleeping & sitting arrangements tight if there had been 6 of us.The third bedroom barely had enough room for a double bed.Great having a utility room,garden would have been fine if needed.Parking for 2 cars down side of house easy.Despite being on the edge of Bourton Industrial estate we found the location great,walks galore.footpaths in every direction.Easy stroll into Bourton, 15mins, great pubs.Most dog friendly place we have ever visited.We were all aware of the traffic noise early in the morning,would certainly not deter us from booking this property though.

We stayed at Cedar Cottage for a long weekend in February. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and well located to be able to visit a number of places and attractions in the area. This was our first visit to The Cotswolds and we will definitely return, and would stay at Cedar Cottage again.

We had a brilliant stay in Cedar cottage. Very clean, great modern facilities and perfect for a family holiday. Our dog loved the garden too. The location is lovely for exploring Bourton, Stow and Slaughters. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Everything about the cottage was perfect, just for us it was slightly out of way but that was because my husband had a hip replacement 4 months ago and was not 100%.
Very spacious and well equipped.

A comfortable cottage, well positioned for exploring the Cotswolds. A short walk to Bourton on the Water for a coffee. The cottage had everything that we needed and was very clean and well looked after.

Had a great stay in cedar cottage spotlessly clean and very well equipped great for a family to stay in the only problem was with the rubbish when we arrived the bins were completely full recycling was full with someone else's rubbish and recycling we were there for Christmas so there was a lot of our own with no where to dispos of it had to a recycling centre and bring waste and recycling to it was not ideal was only problem would recommend cedar cottage top rental I rent 3.4 times a year in cotswold one of the best paul

Cedar Cottage was just right for our short break. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The layout worked really well as we had 2 dogs with us. The utility room was a big asset.

Great property in fantastic location. Very responsive when we couldn’t work out the heating - our fault we tried to make it too complicated. Allowed us a late checkout. Very well stocked with all the basics and lovely garden

Lovely family home with everything you need for a long weekend stay. Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Kids loved the games that were provided. Only negative is that the home is slightly further out of time than I thought so you have to have a car.

We had a fantastic holiday and the house itself is lovely and well equipped. The garden is a mess, overgrown and neglected. It is stretching credulity a bit to say '15 minute walk to the village,' double that time would be more accurate! We tried it once and used the car after that, adding to the traffic problems in Bourton!

The garden is maintained on a fortnightly basis and the owner is trying to organise for someone to trim the tree. The owners are also looking to renovate the garden in the Autumn. We do hope that you will be back to stay in the Cotswolds again soon!

Cedar Cottage was so comfortable and the standard of everything is excellent.
The owners had equipped it to a very high standard and had thought of everything.
We had excellent nights sleeps in super comfy beds.

My husband and I stayed here with my parents and their dog. It was perfect and very homely. It had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable.
The village was a 15-20 mins stroll, which my parents struggled with but we could drive in 3-4 mins and finding parking wasn’t an issue.
We loved exploring the village and nearby villages (Cirencester and Stow-on-the-wold). There was a perfect array of shops, pubs and restaurants in Bourton to find something to suit us all. The contact before hand to make arrangements was prompt, friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place as a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

The house size and amenities were excellent and one of the main reasons we chose the property however there are some minor areas for improvement. When first arriving the welcome email gives a code for the key safe but doesn't mention anything about the alarm or the code for that which surprised us on arrival. Then we couldnt find the key for the back door and garage as it was meant to be on the hook by the back door according to the book but wasn't there. Thankfully Darren was on hand to help and we did locate the keys. We had our dog with us and the garden was perfect and enclosed however my only disappointment was that the rubbish bins were just left full in the garden. Not ideal when the dog is out there and also not the nicest sight as soon as you walk out the back door. Another small niggle was that I personally found the mattresses quite uncomfortable. That being said there were a lot of positives as well. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, utensils etc and was perfect for the short stay. Bathrooms were very clean although the showers weren't that powerful. The location itself was a really good base to explore being a 15min walk into bourton and 10min walk over to the hawkstone brewery. Overall we had an excellent stay and the suggested improvements should be able to be easily rectified for future guests hence the 4 out 5 star review.

Cedar Cottage has everything you could dream for! A superb 3-bedroom cottage in Bourton on the Water, comfortable, stylish and well equipped. It is a fantastic base for exploring the Cotswolds. Three generations and our beloved cavapoo had a fabulous long weekend in the warmth and comfort of Cedar cottage. Excellent restaurants and takeaways are nearby and the selection of provided books and board games kept us entertained. Comfortable beds and relaxing bathrooms; a warm restful lounge and a wonderful kitchen and dining area, you could not ask for anything more! We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time.
