A very tired, not very clean cottage.
The fridge and freezer had not been defrosted in aged. Also it smelt !!
The lawn was over grown, and the patio was filthy, with a carpet dumped in the summer , in view of the cottage.
Both the downstairs loo, and the shower room upstairs had grubby floors, with ill-fitting toilet seats.
All in all, disappointing- we left a day early.

We are really disappointed to receive your review as you did not contact the property owner during your stay to raise any of the concerns mentioned in your review. As part of the booking conditions, we do ask that guests report any issues during their stay in order to try and give the owner or their property manager a fair opportunity to rectify any issues. A contact telephone number and email address are provided in the welcome email in case of such an event. We did send your feedback on to the property owner when you emailed in originally after your stay on 15th September and the owner addressed your issues. As per the email - the fridge freezer will be defrosted when there is a break in bookings. The patio is regularly swept at every changeover and the rug will be removed from the summerhouse as it is no longer required. The gardener regularly visits the property on a Tuesday and the owners apologises that the grass was not cut before your stay. It is sometimes difficult for the gardener to visit the property when there is a booking in place, and at this time of the year the grass is growing rapidly with the extreme weather conditions. The toilet seats will be tightened up on the next changeover as they have sadly come lose over time.

Stunning cottage in a stunning village will definitely return to this property. We were very lucky and had a fabulous week of hot weather. The place had all the things you need to cook some lovely food, we also went to the white lion for Sunday lunch which was pricey but lovely also recommend the Indian restaurant and we love the Chinese take away for a good value treat. Winchcombe is such a pretty place and so nice it’s quieter than Broadway and burton on water which we just visited for the day but we’re happy to come back to a slower more laid back village.

Bumble Cottage is a real “home away from home”. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and crockery and we cooked every night although a few more mugs would have been useful. It is on a fairly busy road but the traffic noise is not noticeable at the back of the cottage and dies away at night. As others have said parking can be tricky at times especially if there is a wedding at the church, but we did manage to park every day within sight of the cottage. The beds were really comfy ensuring a good nights sleep was had by all. Sudeley Castle is a lovely day out and only a 15 minute walk from the cottage.

Bumble Cottage is a lovely mix of old and new. The modern extension at the back has bi fold doors opening onto the small enclosed garden, which is very peaceful and quiet. The older snug at the front would be a cosy and warm space in winter. The beds are very comfortable and the cottage is generally well furnished and equipped.
Winchcombe has a good mix of independent shops and is a great base for walking in the surrounding beautiful countryside.
Parking is on the road and can be a bit tricky at times.
There were a few minor maintenance issues that need attention like the kitchen tap which was loose and the front door only has one usable lock rather than the three that it should have. Whilst attractive the garden also needed tidying up and attention in general.
This cottage is great if you have a dog as the garden is fully enclosed and safe but it does have 3 steps. No problem though if you have a young active dog!

This cottage was ideal for our needs. Well equipped, with a very pleasant garden and in walking distance to amenities. We loved Winchcombe, especially as it was much quieter than other Cotswold towns and just as pretty. Our only negative comments are: we specifically requested twin beds rather than a super king, but found that a super king had been made up when we arrived; and there were no blue recycling bags under the sink for us to use. Notwithstanding these hiccups, we had a lovely weekend and would recommend for future stays.

Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Winchcombe area of the Cotswolds. Bumble Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Only suggestion is that back lawn is cut and tidied for future guests as grass didn't appear to have been cut for several weeks and was very long. However, this wouldn't put us off visiting the cottage again.

Lovely little cottage ideally situated in the town of Winchcombe. Small enclosed garden perfect for a dog and very comfortable throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and it was a lovely touch to have some milk, tea and coffee there for when we arrived. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable.
The only downside is that it is very close to the church and the church chimes do sound every 15 minutes and the bells on the hour - even through the night. As a light sleeper I did find that it did disturb me whereas my husband slept through it.
Other than that a lovely stay, plenty to do, some great pubs within walking distance serving very high quality food, something for everyone.

We made a late decision to spend the February half term in the Cotswolds. After a brief search online we found Bumble cottage. It was quaint, yet spacious, warm and cosy, and all the furniture was very comfortable. The garden was perfectly safe and secure for our 4 legged friend as well.

Winchcombe as a small town had everything we needed, and we were in a great location to visit Stratford Upon Avon Bourton on the Water and we also enjoyed a lovely walk from the cottage itself.

When we did have questions, the customer service team and property manager were quick to respond, helpful and accommodating. No waiting around on phone lines or long waits for email responses

We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds.

Enjoyed our stay at Bumble Cottage. Lovely warm cottage and well equipped. Comfortable bed and very quiet as we used the back bedroom. The back garden being fully enclosed so that we could let our dog out on his own. All being well we hope to return next January, to celebrate our birthdays in January.

Beautifully styled, cosy cottage, well equipped meeting all of our needs. Nice and clean. However, the bathroom cabinet had clearly been missed inside (we needed to clean it) and some used towels had been left from a previous occupant hooked on the back of a bedroom door. In the extension there was a water leak which was understandable bearing in mind the weather (we reported by leaving a phone message during our stay but didn’t get any response). These were minor issues that didn’t impact on our stay. We had a great time and hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay (2 of us and our dog) in this very cosy cottage. Highly recommended as a comfortable living space in the heart of Winchcome. Fab location for exploring the Cotswolds but lovely walks in and around Winchcome if wanting to stay close by. We hope to come back.

We found the cottage very comfortable, with pleasing decor and soft furnishings. The kitchen was well equipped and the living space and garden made for a relaxing stay. The cottage is in a super location with shops, cafes and pubs all a just short walk away. It's also positioned well to embark on walks through the countryside.

We enjoyed our stay at Bumble Cottage, which we found to be comfortable and very nicely modernised. We didn’t make use of the snug but imagine it would be cosy in winter. We made full use of the extended kitchen, dining, living space which we found light and airy. The beds were very comfy and plenty of hot water in the modern shower. The only downside was parking on the road, which we knew when we booked, but it was busy at times. The garden was a lovely quiet spot to relax and it was great that it was fully secure for our dog!

Really nicely appointed cottage. All you needed for a self catered stay, Comfy furniture and beds. Lovely garden for humans and dogs and really secure. Only think we could think of it missed was an ice cube tray!!!! Would love to return as not only the cottage but the town has all you need from supplies to nice walks. Only slight downside is parking on the street but as others said always a space , just may be a bit down the road. One door lock needed a bit of attention but we managed to sort before Sarah arrived to rescue us! Just hope in giving a good review it is free when we want to come again!!!!!

As soon as you walk into Bumble 0Cottage you feel at home. It's well equipped with everything you need., and there was also dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, tea coffee and sugar and the owner had left milk and biscuits too. There was a fan which we were very thankful for as we stated during the 2 day heatwave. The views from the garden and back bedroom are breathtaking. The cottage is very well looked after and the decor is very good.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. Clean and well kept, well equipped had everything and more in the cottage. Lovely garden and great location. A 5 min walk to the town and had wonderful walks right on your doorstep. Definitely recommend this cottage.

Loved our stay at Bumble Cottage. Just perfect and fully equipped with everything we could need. I was a bit worried about parking but this was not a problem - plenty of on street parking.

The Corner Cupboard pub is very welcoming too and we enjoyed a Chinese take away one night which was yummy!

We've just recently returned from a lovely week at Bumble Cottage.
The Cottage is nice and spacious with the extended lounge/kitchen at the back.
Beds were lovely and comfortable and there was plenty of storage for a family of 4.

There was washing capsules for washer, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand washes, toilet roll, bin bags, salt and pepper.
There was also an iron and ironing board.

There is an array of games/puzzles and books in the cupboard too.

The garden is well kept and quite spacious.

It was quite difficult to get parked outside the house but we always manged to get parked on the street somewhere.

Bumble cottage is just a short stroll to the shops and pubs of winchcome.
If you're wanting to eat in any of the pubs I would recommend booking in advance as we struggled at times to get a table.
We used the Chinese twice and can highly recommend.
Unfortunately the fish and chip shop was closed the whole time we were there.

All in all we had a very nice time at Bumble Cottage.

Bumble Cottage was dog friendly and so was the village, most of the pubs and shops allowed dogs, and there's plenty of walks to explore so it's a great little break if you have a furry friend! The cottage was clean and easy to keep clean (there was a dishwasher and mop available for muddy paws). Winchcombe is only a small place so you can't really get much more central than Bumble Cottage, everything you need is within walking distance, we weren't there long enough to explore the neighbouring villages but they seemed to be only a short drive away.

Bumble Cottage is located very close to the fantastic Sudeley Castle and all the amenities of Winchcombe! Unloading at the cottage on the very busy road especially with 2 dogs was a little precarious but once inside the cottage was just lovely! The bifolds into the garden were perfect and meant we could watch our dogs easily. Lovely to have a downstairs loo too and the bedrooms were delightful with plenty of storage. We had a birthday supper at the Corner Cupboard pub just up from the cottage snd it was excellent! We would definitely love to visit again.

we had 2 nights 1/2 April 22. 4 adults and we absolutely loved this cottage, seemed perfect for what we wanted. great customer service before as we asked if we could stay a bit later Sun as it wasnt booked out and i booked this cottage as a 50th bday present so thought be nice to not have to rush out, we were allowed this. The cottage was spotless, windows open due to airing/Covid! the arrangement is great as with the rear extention, you have a kitchen/living dining area where we spent most of the time. Comfy sofa, kitchen well stocked with pots/pans/cutlery etc, dishwasher incl tablets. This room looked out over the garden and had the sun streaming in. Garden has chairs, table, views and gets the sun. downstairs toilet v handy when 4 of you. upstairs is a good shower room, large shower and 2 dbl bedrooms. they both have enough clothing storage. So cottage is really fab, we all loved it. and good location, Winchcombe is a big with several pubs (ate at the Lion, v good), shops etc and we loved the number of fab walks on your doorstep where you dont have to get in the car. The deli on North St sells a book with 5 walks of over 5 miles. or short walks in the castle grounds. We all would go back as this ticked so many boxes. thanks Hosts, great cottage, well stocked and clean.

We were badly let down by one of StayCotswold’s competitors who cancelled a fully paid up booking one week before the holiday. They offered no help so we looked elsewhere. We were desperate to find something close to Cheltenham and we love Winchcombe. We found Bumble cottage, which was bigger (an additional bedroom) and much better appointed. StayCotswold even gave us a late booking discount so we only ended up paying £20 extra over the 3 nights for a much better cottage.
The cottage was extremely comfortable. Plenty of crockery and glasses so need to keep washing up.
The one minor issue was that the water could have been warmer for showering and we didn’t manage to be able to adjust the boiler.
Needless to say we have unsubscribed from the competitor and StayCotswold will be our go to site for future breaks in Winchcombe
