Enjoy the most amazing sea views and stunning sunsets.

For those who have stayed before, our five Geodesic Domes are being upgraded to include adjoining en-suite facilities, and re-located to another beautiful position on our Farm with stunning sea views.

Each Dome will be accessed via an entrance porch extension which includes a log store, adjoining en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet) and separate kitchenette. The actual Dome interior will be open plan living / sleeping, with a dividing wall for the bunk room. The king size four poster bed will be the centre piece of the room, as well as a cosy lounge area with log burner. No need to worry about chilly nights as the Domes are insulated and each bed has an electric blanket to snuggle down under the covers.

Outside, the Domes will have their own BBQ and firepit where you can relax and enjoy the stunning sea views and sunsets. Domes 1 and 5 will also have a wood-burning tub, and there will be a communal pizza oven onsite too.

Available all year round for holidays and short breaks, the Domes will be a short five-minute stroll across the field, from all farm amenities, The Cow Restaurant, Farm Park, Aqua Park and bike hire shed.

Lovely domes with an outdoor fire pit and indoor wood burner. Super cosy. Kitchen stocked with all necessary utensils. Clean, well maintained. Very green and calm location. Nature, so a lot of insects, especially at night as attracted to light (keeping doors/windows closed helped). We were hoping to see some stars but was cloudy the whole time we were there.

Single lane farm road to get there and bit far from shops (though not an issue if you are prepared and have your own ingredients - there is a fridge) - there is a farm shop but it wasn’t well stocked with fresh produce when we visited (though it was a weekend afternoon), lots of frozen stuff.

There is no TV so be prepared to be in the outdoors.

We were a couple and price was fine, I assume better value if going as a small group/family, for this the towels were folded as elephants, which was super clever!

No check-in / check-out so super swift getting settled and back out again if needed.

All in all a great weekend and would recommend for those who like calm, quiet, outdoor surroundings (and can survive without a TV)!

We had to rent the dome for 3 nights when we only needed two and given the price for one night, that was a real downside ! We still had to do it because we were there for a birthday.
It was really hot inside as the portable A/C was not working (something saying “water”.
Also there were a few bugs (earwigs, spiders) on the top part of the bunk bed (on the bed and on the ceiling) and my daughter had to sleep in the sofa. We could have done with a second key, as one for 4 people is not enough and we didn’t have the code for the key locker.
We could have done with a bit of olive oil… But we found salt and pepper.
It would be great if breakfast could be offered at the restaurant.
That said, the place had obviously been cleaned, bathroom and kitchen. The view was great. There was a bbq at our disposal. The surroundings were really nice but a little bit far from the main part of the farm.
If some of those little issues were to be corrected (especially the bug one and the AC), we could consider coming back.

This was our second stay in the Domes and as before, it was brilliant. From booking onwards, the whole process was seamless and we felt really looked after. The Dome was clean, incredibly well-equipped, warm, cosy and tastefully decorated. The views and location (of both Tapnell and The Domes themselves) are perfect and we were sad to leave. We'll definitely be back!

So I booked last minute in June and the dome and dome meadow did not disappoint.
Chloe was so helpful with the booking and all my random questions.
We came without a car for a greener holiday.
Dome meadow was so beautiful, it felt peaceful and restful from the start with amazing rural scenery and wide blue skies.
My family and I just loved the fire pit and those glorious red sunsets.
We watched as the field of corn adjacent was cut and hay bales assembled overnight.
Being there made us understand rural life (a bit better).
The dome itself was luxurious. Very clean. We loved the four-poster bed. My boys loved the bathroom facilities and the power shower.
You had thought of everything, which was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

A two night stay with a 3 and 1 year old was enough. We bought our own travel cot but it got chilling during the night so we had to move him into our bed.
It was a very peaceful experience with beautiful views, the dome is a good size but it would be a squash with 4 or 6 adults.
It would be helpful to provide chopping boards and add to the website that there is a microwave available.
The pizza oven paddles were filthy, and not in a convenient or attractive position by the log shed and wheel burrows. Wheels burrows were a nice touch and helpful.
You have to like spiders!!! Our dome was full of them!
Although they say the Cow's restaurant is open for breakfast, it's not open until 11.30am!
Regardless of paying £350 per night you still have to pay the full entry fee to the farm. Although it's valid for your stay, that is a bit cheeky.
As mentioned previously on other reviews there are two entry times and everyone has to leave at 1pm, so as you can imagine there where a lot of disappointed children wanting to stay as there was still so much to do. That's seems a shame and with Covid in the distance a bit pointless.
Would we return? Not to the Domes as it’s not god value but I'm pleased we had the experience.

After a last-minute cancellation of our planned holiday to Portugal we decided to stay local and visit the Isle of Wight. We were struggling to find accommodation when we came across Tom’s eco-lodges at Tapnell farm.

We saw that there was a range of accommodation types available including tents. However, with a five-year-old and my wife probably not been too keen on camping we decided to go for the eco-lodges instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the eco-lodges they were of a perfect size for a family of three with a large comfortable main bed and two bunkbeds behind. A modern fully equipped kitchen and a large size bathroom with walk-in shower (but no bath) were more than adequate for our holiday. There was also a modern Combi boiler so instant hot water was always available.

The domes offered a wonderful view out over farmland and down over the Solent, looking towards the south coast of mainland. we could also make out Yarmouth quite clearly from where we were so it really gave a sense of space and openness.

There are large curtains that can be folded across the dome windows as well which is ideal during hot sunny weather. We forgot to close and one day I did make it very hot inside.

As well as the fully fitted kitchen there was also a small barbecue provided which was just perfect for making dinner outside, along with a decent size picnic table and bench and a fire pit.

There were five domes in total very close together with a short walk across wooden boarding path to the car park. A 10 minute walk through farmland takes you to the Tapnell farm shop which is well stocked with lots of delicious local food.

There is also an excellent restaurant nearby called The Cow.

We were extremely lucky during our stay with lovely weather and also the neighbouring for domes were un-occupied until the very last night of our stay so we enjoyed peace and quiet for most of the time.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Had an absolutely stunning stay at the domes. I can just imagine how much greater the experience would be in the summer. What a view to wake up to and the log burner fire added a great deal of warm and mood lighting. Definitely a well deserved break for myself and the family i brought along

We booked a week (Monday-Friday) at Tapnell Farm and we are so glad we found it! Staying in the Domes felt like such a luxury, we loved the accommodation and the set up, together with all of the little touches like firefighters and kindling that were provided at the start of the week.

The location of the domes was remote, but that added to the charm for us. We had a beautiful view across the field to the sea, and at night a stunning view of the sunset.

The facilities in the dome were all we could have wanted - good shower, comfy bed, sofa and wood burning stove were perfect for the evenings - even when we had horrendous weather outside. In fact hearing the rain outside made us feel even cosier snuggled up inside!

The facilities on the farm were great too. Sadly we weren’t able to do the archery or axe throwing, but the aqua park and farm park were both very fun. Our highlight was the football golf though!

Overall we had a fabulous week at Tapnell Farm and can’t wait to book to come back again.

I live in East Wight and only made day trips to West Wight in the past. My brother in law, from London, and I decided on a walking holiday and we chose Tapnell Farm. The location is superb for daily walks out and back that take you to any part of the West tip of the island. Many good restaurants and pubs in close proximity. The Cow restaurant on the farm is also very good after a days walking should you not want to drive out.

We travelled as a group of 6 and the dome is quite comfortable for us. The dome is very thoughtfully equipped with hairdryer, fire starter, wood for the fire place, spacious bathroom, etc. The best experience ever!

Oh and also you can see the sea sitting around the fire pit, and the stars from inside the dome!

Real luxury glamping with incredible views. Fully stocked for self catering and spotless. So romantic sitting by the fire pit or the wood burner inside. We had a wonderful time.

We loved staying in the dome - we've stayed in the safari tents before so this was a change but it was absolutely wonderful and we are coming back. We love it here.

we stayed in dome 2 . it was spacious and comfortable for me, my husband and 11 year old daughter plus our dog. the views were magnificent, wonderful sunsets. the dome had everything you could need, including a wood burning stove. there was a fire pit and barbecue outside . it was blissful.

Our stay was brilliant. The facilities were just perfect - everything we needed to a very high spec. The view from the dome over the meadows is just amazing - such a perfect spot. Also, the service we received was impeccable - nothing was too much - from changing ferry bookings last minute to recommendations to getting us a go on the aquapark. We will definitely be back!

We have nothing bad to say about The Domes and the Tom's Eco lodges. The accommodation was so different and spectacular compared to anything we had stayed in before. The Domes are comfortable, warm, clean and filled with welcome home comforts such as fridge, toaster, kettle, heater, wood burner etc. Communal facilities are convenient and again so clean. The area is spectacular and full of lovely places to visit. Finally Chloe and her team made us most welcome and were only too happy to help with anything we needed. Will definitely return.

Our family stayed for two nights and we had a fantastic stay. We will definitely be returning.
The domes were beautiful and well kitted out to suit the needs of families.
The views from the dome were wonderful.
The farm itself for entertaining the children was simply amazing there was so much for them to enjoy.

Such a lovely stay and place specially coz all of the family got together and the children played together and loved just being outside on the field. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay will defo make this a yearly family stay.

The domes are a great new addition to Tapnell Farm. Super comfy beds, electric blankets making mornings extra cosy. Beautifully hand crafted bed frame and wardrobe rail. Outdoor pizza oven is really easy to use. Shower block nice and close by. All very thoughtfully planned out.

Great bell tent size and super comfortable beds! Close by and clean Toilet and shower / kitchen block.
We would definitely come to stay again:) vibe was relaxed, easy parking and check in.
My only surprise was that there was not free or at least a discounted entry into the farm park for those having booked on site.

We enjoyed a brilliant 3 day weekend in the Bell tents. The owners were helpful throughout sending pictures of the new tents and helping with travel arrangements even when we missed the ferry due to the traffic. The tents are kitted out better than most hotel rooms I have stayed at. I was surprised by the head height and how big the 6 m tents were. Everything from a kettle to cups and milk were provided. We loved the electric blankets. There is communal use of the fridge which is very helpful and also ice blocks are provided. The standard of the shower block is excellent and lovely and warm. We had a 4,3,2 year old girls and they had the best time running in the fresh air and visiting the farm. Such a unique weekend we loved it so much we will be coming back next year.
