Situated just 3.5 miles north of Longtown on the Scottish Border and less than 10 miles from Gretna Green, a renowned wedding venue where couples can still tie the knot over the anvil, Bank House Longtown is a favored choice for wedding parties and is ideal for pre-wedding celebrations or hen and stag parties. This spacious accommodation is also perfect for various events, including conferences, club gatherings, fitness weekends, golfing trips, fishing excursions, shooting parties, reunions, and much more.

Heated by oil central heating and complemented by open fires, you’ll stay warm and cosy even during chilly evenings. The inviting entrance hall features a writing desk, an open fire, and a chest filled with games and jigsaws. Unwind in the sitting room, which comfortably seats 10, plus an additional 7 on window seats and occasional chairs, all gathered around a welcoming log fire.

The oak room serves as the heart of the house, featuring seating for 17 people, including 9 on window seats. It also boasts a grand piano, a wide-screen Smart TV with a DVD player, a home cinema system with an 8-foot automated screen and surround sound, a Sony AV receiver, and a Fire Stick that is compatible with tablets and laptops for presentations.

Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a Rangemaster electric range cooker. The adjoining scullery houses 2 dishwashers, a large fridge, an upright freezer, and a microwave, while the pantry includes another fridge, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Family meals can be enjoyed in the dining room, which features 3 tables that seat a total of 30 people.

The study, perfect for some quiet time away from the rest of the group, offers seating for 6 along with a wide-screen Smart TV and DVD player—ideal for catching up on a good book. After dinner, head to the games room for a game of snooker, table football, or relax in front of the TV.

On the ground floor, you'll find 2 bedrooms: one with a super king-size bed and the other with twin beds, both sharing a disabled-friendly en-suite with a ‘drive-in’ shower. The spacious back hall provides ample room for coats and boots, complemented by a cloakroom with 2 WCs and a hand basin. A lift services both floors for added convenience.

The first floor contains 12 spacious bedrooms, each offering views over the gardens or yard. There are six twin bedrooms, four of which have en-suite showers or bathrooms. Additionally, six bedrooms feature super king-size beds, five of which come with en-suite bathrooms equipped with a bath and separate shower cubicle. There are also 2 more bathrooms—one with a bath and the other with a shower—as well as a cloakroom with a WC and hand basin.

The attic room features a super king-size bed along with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle.

All utilities, including oil, electricity, fuel for the fires, bed linen, and towels are provided. Cots and highchairs are also available, along with ample private parking. Enjoy the beautiful gardens featuring ponds, garden furniture, table tennis, croquet, badminton, a hot tub and an outdoor swimming pool (please note this is not heated and available May to September, the owners use it themselves betweens the hours of 4and 6pm.)

Where to start -
We are 4 generations of a family, aged 11mths - 86 years old, all 24 of us.
We celebrated our Christmas in beautiful Glingerbank house, staying from 23rd - 27th December.
The house is just amazing, so well presented, everything you could possibly need to cook a huge Christmas dinner, full English breakfasts, Boxing Day buffet and all the meals in between.
From, plates, pans, cutlery, glasses, serving dishes, roasting tins, Yorkshire pudding trays, if you need it, it’s there and more.
Glingerbank is so comfortable, warm, clean, lovely bedding, all towels provided, heating was timed to come on for us, all day from 7am until late at night.
The house is quirky with different staircases, corridors, rooms galore and the lift was invaluable for our 3 Octogenarians.
We have enjoyed a wonderful family Christmas, filled with amazing memories and photographs - Thank you
We all highly recommend Glingerbank House

We stayed at Glinger Bank house in Longtown for Christmas with family coming over from Oz and Dubai to all be together. The house and grounds are wonderful with all appliances necessary to feed a small army! We enjoyed the hot tub and sang carols around the piano, there is plenty of space to not be on top of each other and the bedrooms and bathrooms were great and spacious. We lit the fires, there was a decorated Christmas tree, perfect for the festive season.
