Have stayed with Port Charlotte holidays on a number of occasions and always enjoyed it. Houses are comfortable and well equipped and Port Charlotte is a great location. We'll be back.
Not just Saligo ....Kilchoman, Ardnave and Sanaigmore cottage.....all used for our stay. Comfortable and welcoming in a lovely situation.
Have stayed in the cottages every year for 16 years and will be back. Very comfortable and well equipped - Islay is beautiful even in the rain.
The apartment is clean, comfortable and ideal for a couple. The location is great, in the lovely town of Port Charlotte, with hotels a short walk away for food or drink. There are some great walks you can access from the apartment and easy access to the main roads on the island. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, with lots of suggestions for thing to see, places to visit, where to buy fresh seafood and, of course, sharing their views on each of the Islay distilleries!
While the accommodation is ideally situated to explore the west side of the island and well equipped, we did not find that it was “Beautifully furnished” nor “Finished to a high standard”. The en-suite bedrooms were not “luxurious” with the pine furniture and standard fittings in the bathrooms, which are in need of some attention. The shower cubicles were very small and a the water pressure non existant. Although for the most part the accommodation was clean there were numerous spider-webs. The carpet in the living room area did not join up leaving an unsightly gap and was a trip hazard,...more
