This is a very nice, complete and comfortable holiday home, situated on a working farm. It’s quite remote so can’t recommend it to everyone but if you love nature, walking and wildlife: this is your place to be. Friendly but not in any way obtrusive owners. We had a wonderful time here walking and visiting Oban and Arduan gardens. The local shop/restaurant/tearoom in Ardfern is within about a hours walk and sells great lunches. The salmon sandwich is within the best we ever had. Also the walk to Craobh Haven is very nice and a nice lunch is also waiting or you there Highley recommend holiday...more
This was our first stay at Aird House, but hopefully not our last. The view of the coast from the window was amazing, even when it was raining. The house was cosy and warm, with a wood burner to add to that cosy night in feel. The kitchen was well equipped. Be aware that the water is filtered and UV treated, it is not chlorinated. This means that it is still brown, as the peat colour does not come out. It also does not have much pressure, so don't expect a power shower. There is Wifi in the house, or at least some of it.
