Vale Farm Cottages are traditional barns that have been converted into cosy cottages combining character with modern living. Nestled deep in the heart of Wales within the picturesque Hamlet of Lower Chapel, these beautiful cottages are surrounded by scenery that could not fail to impress.
Situated on the Edge of the Brecon Beacons amongst beautiful countryside on a traditional working farm which is close to Brecon, Builth Wells, Hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Located on a traditional working farm with cows and sheep. We also have a small play area for children with swings and a slide, plus a large grassed area for playing ball games.
Vale Farm Cottages cater from 4- 11 guests, they all feature original oak beams in all the rooms and have spacious living rooms with French doors opening onto views of Pan-y-Van and the Black mountains in a farm court yard setting, ideal for al fresco dining or a barbeque. A great location to meet up with family and friends, large enough to cater for groups and business trips and with the optionally of having The Coppice function room.
We stayed in Vale Hornbeam and it was perfect for us (2 adults, 2 children - 6&9) the space the children had to run and play was great. Vale Farm is situated close to Brecon and within easy reach of lots of walks. Danielle and Tom are great and recommended lots of places to go and things to do. They also helped us with top tips on places to park ect. The pool is a great part of staying at Vale Farm, as is seeing all the lambs, we loved it!
We loved our time at the cottage, It was perfect. Clean, accessible, brilliant swimming pool, park for the children, hot tubs - plenty to do. Can’t thank the owners enough for everything they did, couldn’t do enough to help us and make sure our stay was enjoyable.
Set on a working farm, with far reaching views, the weather was kind whilst I was there! Lambs skipping and jumping in the fields directly outside the cottages what more could you ask for! Vale Chestnut cottage is lovely, the whole accommodation was clean and welcoming. If you have a dog with you there’s a box with a handy towel, bowl, poo bags and a jar with some treats in for them Upstairs on the dining table was a packet of Welsh cakes, lovely little touch, and very yummy they were too The views from the balcony are simply stunning and I can only imagine what the sky must look like on a ...more
We spent a lovely six days at Vale Farm. The location and views knocked our socks off!
The cottage was warm, cosy and perfect for our dogs as there is a big boot room in which to keep them warm and safe.
Vale Farm is perfectly located for visits to foodie Brecon (so many good pubs and restaurants nearby), mountains, forests and waterfalls. We went to the beach (1.5 hours away). It even provided all four seasons of weather!
Danielle and her family give the whole place a personal touch, nothing is too much trouble. We can’t wait to go back.
We were 4 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 11. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable with wonderful views over the fields. It was a delight to see the lambs playing. We used the pool and jacuzzi every day, sometimes twice. Good local walks and lots to explore in the area. Drive to cottages a bit steep and scary at first!
