Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
Janet and Tim are excellent hosts - super friendly and helpful. The windmill is very well appointed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The welcome gifts were a lovely surprise. We strolled in to Aylsham and found plenty of shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants. All in all a great weekend was had by all. We will be back I’m sure.
