A delightful place to stay - very well positioned for easy access to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Box Tree Cottage is tastefully decorated contemporary with a traditional feel and fitted with the highest standards of mod cons with lots of natural light and a cosy log stove in the sitting room. Kitchen is fully equipped and all of ground floor is underfloor heated. Useful warm utility room for dogs to sleep and dry off. There is a field directly outside the kitchen where you can go to the beck running through for the dogs to have a paddle. The village Barbon is delightful with its own...more
Comfort and style were unreal and all the tittle touches that are added made our stay more memorable the hamper was so welcoming and the toiletries from "Bath house" were a luxury we actually came home and ordered some for our selves. Communication was excellent we received a text welcoming us on arrival a home visit to check that everything was fine and then a text to wish us a safe journey home. We would most certainly recommend a stay.
This was our 13th visit to Mill House Cottages. The overall experience never fails to impress nor does the care and attention of the owners, Julie and Stephen. We'll be back.
Booked 6 nights for a birthday break. Stunning location and an excellent property. Great service from start to finish. Would recommend the Barbon Inn for food and atmosphere and the Churchmouse especially for their Friday night Bistro but booking is essential.
We really enjoyed our visit to Mill House Cottages. Cottage very cozy & finished to a high standard. The approaching single track lanes were a challenge but we managed as there is very little traffic on them. Great walks from the door of Southerdale and beautiful surrounding area.
My wife and I had a superb little minimoon away at The Pavilion. The accommodation was just right. It is finished to a very high standard with a real attention to detail paid on everything in the property. Comfortable bed, superb shower, beautiful hot tub and cosy couch. (There's even a log burner! - which we didn't need to use as it was warm enough). I'd highly recommend this for breaks away and as a base for hiking or exploring both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
beutifully placed , very clean beautifully furnished just wonderful, didnt want to leave little touches made the expeience complete
Mine was a 'work-cation'. Place was cosy with everything I needed. Importantly quiet and with lots of nice waking and scenery close by to chill. Wifi was amazing - better than home!
The cottage is conveniently located at the edge of Sedbergh, close to amazing walks along the Rawthey river. The two of us enjoyed the space spread over three floors. We appreciated the quality of the soft furnishings and the comfortable bed. Walking on the public footpaths on the hills and in Sedbergh was a real treat. Plenty of places in Sedbergh to eat.
We have holidayed in Scotland for many years in self catering cottages. Skye Fall is by far the best and most luxurious property we have ever experienced. It's location is just amazing . The views from ever window are absolutely stunning. The house was immaculate and beautifully furnished. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and we are already looking at the diary for next year's trip.
This is the 2nd time we've used Mill House, which we've never done before! It's great to deal with Julie, really informative and the booking process is easy. The Paddock is beautiful, clean, modern and rustic at the same time, comfortable, great location. The kitchen is the hub of the house, really well equipped. We took our dog, and it was great to have almost an annexe with the second bedroom/bathroom downstairs, all linking through to the kitchen and lounge. Upstairs was beautiful, a huge bedroom and bathroom. The garden was great, behind closed gates with lovely gardens/patios etc. ...more
