We had a super stay in Forsythia House. Travelled as a family (2 adults, 2 children (7 and 4)).
The location is superb, near enough to, but far enough out of, Cromer - where we visited 3 or 4 times (a lovely place, plenty of parking, shops, stuff to do etc).
Overstrand itself is a quiet place, lovely pub (White Horse), a shop for essentials, a cafe and the beach (didn’t get to the latter 2). There isa play park just around the corner from the house too.
As for the house, there was nothing missing that we needed. A real home from home. It was comfortable, warm and everything was eas...more
Small cottage near beach, shop and pub. Coastal bus right outside, great for walks. Small outside area, a bit overlooked by other properties. Lovely comfy bed. As others have mentioned, would like to have more instructions, could only use apps on TV, no live channels and Bath needs a hand rail, very deep. Sofa low, perhaps needs refreshed cushions as rather uncomfortable. Overall enjoyed ourselves plenty to do locally.
This is the fifth time we have stayed at Swallow 2 cottage . We always feel very relaxed and happy there . We love Norfolk and enjoy birdwatching and photography . The cottage is somewhat away from any main roads but is well situated to visit nature reserves in Norfolk .
We had a lovely few days at Rectory Cottage. The house and interiors are in great condition. The beds were comfortable and the bedding felt really good quality. The house is just a couple of minutes walk from the cliff/beach and there’s a lovely play park there too which our kids enjoyed. We didn’t use the rear parking as we were always able to park on the street nearby.
We enjoyed a lovely 4 nights at 1, Swallow Cottage. The cottage was beautifully clean, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to cook breakfast or evening meal. There are some nice eateries within a short drive and some fantastic places to walk the dog before returning for a relaxing time in front of the log burner.
We will definitely be back!
