We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
Beautifully furnished and comfortable, reclining sofas a bonus too. A nice area of Hemsby with easy 15 min walk to main centre and beach. Highly recommend
As you walk in the door Bosuns Cottage has an immediate homely feel to it. It is very light & airy with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has everything you might need and is spotlessly clean. Position wise it’s ideal , walking distance to pub, shop, chippy and the beach. The owners were very helpful with arrival/departure. We loved this cottage and will be back.
Everything about the White House was excellent. The large garden is amazing and the first thing you see as you open the gate. The summerhouse is a lovely place to sit and read (it also contains outdoor games if the weather allows). The conservatory leads to a well equipped kitchen - this is one of two as the ground floor bedroom is a self contained suite off the kitchen with a small kitchen and shower leading to a well setup bedroom with French doors to the garden (and one of the three patio areas). This was our third stay at Tiddler. As before, accommodation was clean, cosy, a perfect base for the beach. Our dog gives it 5 stars every time and we can't help but agree with him.
Overall an enjoyable stay apart from the weather , the location is spot on for the beach and pub .The only slight problem is that the bath towels could be larger .
We've stayed here a number of times now and are always extremely pleased with everything. Excellent location for the coast and Broads. The enclosed garden is secure for children and dogs with extra space on the adjacent field. Would highly recommend it.
Natterjacks is beautiful, very clean, with a secure front garden that was ideal for my dogs. Very quiet as it’s within a courtyard, so no traffic noise other than a couple of neighbours cars, which worked well for my noise anxious dog. Few minutes walk along the road to the pub and the beach, or down the back lane to the dunes. Worked well for us except dogs aren’t allowed throughout, which would unfortunately stop me booking again, otherwise it would be my regular spot for my annual Winterton trip. Nice and very quiet place to stay, with rear overlooking farmland. Fully enclosed garden. Lots of walks for dogs, including dog friendly beach. Couple of nice pubs but nothing much in the way of village shops, but delivery wasn't a problem. Overall a very relaxing holiday in a clean house with top level fittings
Amity House is a beautiful holiday home, everything you need for self catering. Winterton village is paradise for doggy walks and dog friendly venues. Although we managed to pick the rainiest week it didn’t stop our enjoyment or chilling out.
We came back to Larners as we had enjoyed the last visit. As we were here for a week we wanted the comfort & facilities that are available there. We had a great week and will definitely look to book again soon.
We had a wonderful stay at Martins nest We were greeted on arrival by Diane the owner who informed us about the cottage and garden and showed us around very welcoming lovely lady There was everything you needed to start your stay including milk and some delicious brownies which were very welcome The cottage is beautifully presented and has a comfortable bed and all home comforts Located well for a walk to the beach and a private garden to relax in which we did thank you for a restful visit see you next year!
I had a wonderful time staying at Robin’s rest clean very comfortable and everything you need . A lovely welcome pack and a bottle of Prosecco thank you . An added bonus a lovely paddock to walk the dog . My second stay in a winterton cottage highly recommended and I hope to return
We stayed here in October 2025 and loved it so much we returned for February half term. We had yet another wonderful stay. Both stays the weather has been bitterly cold and the house has been lovely and warm. Immaculate and comfortable as before. This time I brought my parents with me and they loved the house too. My dad has slightly reduced mobility so this place was perfect for him. The dog enjoyed watching the rabbits running around the garden but thankfully they didn't appear when we went off out for our walks. We look forward to another stay soon :)
We had an absolutely fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly. From the moment we arrived everything exceeded our expectations.the property was spotless, beautifully presented and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect , and ideal for exploring the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were excellent, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. Without hesitation this is one of the best places we have stayed, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
This cottage was fantastic, down a very quiet close with a ten minute walk to the beach that the dogs loved, the cottage was very clean and has got everything you needed .The beds and sofa were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here as it felt very safe for the dogs and we could relax.
Had a fabulous stay at The White House. Greeted warmly by the owner who was very helpful during our stay. The White House is such a delightful and beautiful property, the house was really clean and very well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. It’s in a lovely spot, and the garden was brilliant for the dogs too, which all made for a very relaxing holiday. It’s in a convenient place for visiting lots of local beaches and other attractions with walks to Winterton from the door and I will certainly be recommending it to others.
We stayed at High Barn with our grown up married daughters, our 1 year old grandson, and 3 dogs for a long weekend. Everything about this property is high quality - the furnishings, super comfy beds, hot tub, and the games room was a hit in the evenings (hopefully we weren’t too noisy)!! This barn is huge with plenty of room for the 6 of us and the dogs. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we could ever need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and the dog beds, throws and of course the paddock were great for the dogs. One suggestion would be an extra freezer in the utility room for raw food, but the kitchen freezer was sufficient. We were nice and close to several beaches and other attractions, so well situated too. We had a lovely holiday at Carpenters shop.

Perriwinkle cottage is beautiful, and thoughtfully laid out with everything for comfort and what you need to make it a home from home whilst away. The host Jan is on hand if needed and left some lovely welcome goodies including champagne for New Years eve, with a welcome note. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and were a stones throw from the beach for long winter walks and the Fishermans Return, it was a complete switch off. After visiting friends in winterton & walking past Eva’s lookout, I booked for a bank holiday break, all booking with winterton cottages was easy & efficient, payments & queries answered promptly. The property was absolute bliss, from artwork/decor space & light, the perfect house for family to explore the area. We loved our experience so much we are planning our next trip back.
Booked here at short notice as our original booking became unavailable. It's a lovely open plan spacious bungalow with an easy garden ideal for dogs. Had a very nice stay and made the most of the changeable weather. Only improvement I can suggest is a coffee machine, we brought our own Nespresso machine as there was no mention of one but other than that everything else you need is provided. Would highly recommend a stay here.
As always nothing to complain about this lovely place, ideally situated in the centre of Winterton easy access to dunes & beach.
We enjoyed a very pleasant four night stay recently in this delightful property. Salty Dogs is equipped to the highest standard and is cosy and comfortable whilst also being dog-friendly. The village of Winterton ticks all the boxes too: excellent pub/restaurant, first class fish and chip shop and a small convenience store. We definitely hope to return. Note - the stairs are steep and narrow (and the bathroom is downstairs) so This would not be a good choice for anyone with mobility issues.
Lovely holiday home in a perfect position for the beach and endless walks. Amazing view over the sea and situated in a quiet lane.comfortable and well equipped, couldn’t have asked for more.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cranny, it was just as described and we loved the beautiful garden and sat in it as much as we could weather permitting. The location is very central and very close to the pub which was great, there were four of us staying for part of the week and the Cranny accommodated us all very comfortably. We very much appreciated how dog friendly the Cranny was and Winterton in general.
What a gorgeous place. Everything was excellent in the cottage and the position was perfect, to sit in the conservatory and listen to the sea was heavenly. Can’t fault anything and we will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful week. Communication from the owner was excellent and the generous welcome basket was varied and greatly appreciated. It’s a beautifully decorated home and perfectly situated for exploring Sea Palling, Gorleston, Mundesley and not forgetting Winterton right on your door step. The local pub was welcoming and very dog friendly. We would love to return.
Cleveland House was a lovely spacious house ,perfect for a long weekend to get together with our grown up children. Pub literally 3mins walk and a beach perfect for dog walks within 15mins from property. 10 mins drive to see the seals and 20 mins to Yarmouth .
We were very happy with this accommodation. It was comfortable, clean and spacious. The double beds were particularly comfortable. It had everything we ( a retired couple) needed. The location on the edge of the village was an easy walk to the centre and beach, although you need to be a little careful for the first 20 yards as there is no pavement to the corner. The cottage had plenty of parking. The garden was private. It could benefit from some more shade with an umbrella or sail as was quite hot at times. Lovely cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Would use again. I was also impressed by the booking agent, Winterton Cottages. Their communications where first class. Once I had booked I didn't have to do any checking or chasing, they kept me informed all the way.
The cottage is lovely, very spacious and bright. The bedrooms are big and the bedding is very good. It's furnished very well with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. However it was badly let down by the state of the garden. The weeds were waist high and coming up through the imitation grass. Nothing would have persuaded us to sit out there. Such a shame.
I was so pleased that we had booked Trinity Cottage. From the outside it has a real Barn look while inside it was spacious, clean and with the light flooding in from the large windows it welcomed you in. The kitchen was short of nothing if you wanted to prepare your own meals. The sofa were soft & comfortable allowing you to have a good read or watch the smart TV. The bed was very much to my liking on the firm side which after a number of walks in and around the village plus our regular route march from Winterton towards Sea Palling we slept very well. Great property in a great location in the village. Everything you needed in the property. Very spacious and great layout. Central heating although took a while to heat up but once warm very cosy!
This property was first class, it was kitted out with everything we needed, we did have a minor problem with one of the showers but this this was resolved very quickly by the owners. Everything in this property was fitted out with quality funiture, light fittings and accessories were top class.
We stayed last year ,was so good we came back again ,a lovely property , everything you could need and more, perfect location, great for taking dog down for morning and afternoon walks, nick quite area, will definitely come back again, check in was smooth

Tigh-Na-Mara is a lovely dog friendly chalet in a nice quiet location close to the beach with wonderful views. We have stayed a few times over the years and always had a lovely time. Tracy the owner is really friendly and replies quickly if you have any queries and the site the property is on is well maintained.
We have stayed in Winterton several times before but it was our first time at this cottage. It's a lovely little house and we felt very comfortable there and it has pretty much everything that you need. One thing that would have been helpful to have been made available was a roll of kitchen roll. I did try on two separate occasions, via Whatsapp, to contact Shelby, the person listed as the contact for the cottage. We had a great week despite the weather doing its best. Only two adults staying but not enough seating in sitting room for 4 to sit comfortably. Ideal situation in centre of quiet Winterton. Opposite tea room is good and fish and chips from chippy next door is the best, generous portions too. Beach is 5mins away with beautiful walks off the beach through the dunes as well. Been twice before and already booked for next time.
Overall a lovely stay, bungalow is clean, spacious, well-equipped, in a quiet location close to amenities and dunes/ beach. Comfortable lounge with good TV and a second lounge which was nice to have the door open to garden and read. A useful garage area with work surfaces, ideal for dog bowls and food etc. Thank you for the welcome pack. We have given a rating of 3 for comfort as personally we found the king size bed, hard and uncomfortable and didn't sleep very well; personal preference as no one else giving a review has raised this! Bath towels good quality but small.
Perfect location and property, we loved our stay. Just a note of caution for dog owners - there are toxic plants in the garden including Foxgloves. We struggled with our young dogs, they are still chewing things they shouldn't!
The house is lovely located just away from the village. Beautiful walks near by. The house is well equipped and very clean only thing we would point out is the stairs are noisy and could do with hand rail on the wall on the bend of stairs
We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Winnie it had everything we could have needed (and more) for a short break away with our two black labs. I loved the decor and all the various lamps making it feel very cosy and it smelt so nice when you first came in, we ended up sleeping in the back bedroom as that bed was much firmer. The location is just perfect for the beach and dunes walks, also close to the pub Fishermans Return which was really good, delicious fish pie. We would love to return next year
Superb cottage in a beautiful location and equipped well. Stayed in village a few times and this cottage is great. Be aware that there is a step down into ground floor bedroom and again into ensuite. The kitchen is also down 2 steps. Not an issue for us but just to be aware. Owner was excellent on resolving a minor issue within the day. A great place would highly recommend.
Loved the location and being able to see the sea from the house and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. Was great to see the seals on the beach, if you actually walked for about a mile you saw them all laid on the beach so no need to go to horsey gap! House was well equipped with all basic stuff provided! Will definitely return to Winterton on sea!
3 of us stayed with 3 dogs for a week. The house was immediately home for all of us. It is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The location is unbeatable and the walking from the door is stunning. We loved Winterton on Sea and our little corner of it for the week.
The only good things about this house is the location, garden and shower! It didn’t look as if it had a good clean for a while, the coffee machine had a very very rank coffee pod still in it, the furniture in the lounge is very uncomfortable, the sofa in the conservatory should be condemned it’s threadbare and you can feel the springs through the what’s left of the fabric! The mattress is really cheap and very uncomfortable. The towels were thin and hard well past their best. And just top it all off you can smell the fumes from the boiler in the utility room. A beautiful thatched cottage in a prime location, opposite the dog friendly village pub, that has been extended to provide a lovely restaurant, without losing the old part of the pub, all being dog friendly. The fish and chip shop, post office, cafe and convenience store are around the corner. ( Check fish and chip shop opening hours ) The dunes and beach are in walking distance, but a car park is also available at the Dunes cafe area, these cafes provide a good assortment of menus and drinks.
