An extravaganza created with a twinkle in the eye. You'll love the imaginative, luxurious eccentricity of it all. There is 'why not?' a clock from a Russian submarine in the bathroom, with a pig diving into the village pond above the bath. And an array of bathrobes, umbrellas, kitchen equipment, and speakers set into ceilings; press a button on the wall of the sitting room and the sound floods in. The space is both immaculate and generous: a long, light hall and huge sitting/dining room with a terrific fireplace (all the logs you need) and a sculpture above it. The Dick Turpin Cottage provides a very peaceful retreat set in stunning countryside. The Cottage's interior is eclectic in style with plenty of books, DVDs, TV and musical sources to entertain should you decide to stay in. The cottage is well equipped but one or two items could be replaced in due course. The welcome hamper was gratefully received.
