Great apartment in the town centre, we loved staying here because we were clsoe to everything we could possibly need. Aaprmtnet was easy to find and instructions were clear! We settled in nicely and despite the openness of the apartment it felt very cosy. Great communication with office staff! Can't wait to come back <3

My mom and I stayed at The King's 2 bedroom corner apartment at the end of May 2025. I loved everything about this apartment (except the stairs, but that was very minor). It was spacious, clean, and honestly one of the best living room furniture set-ups that I've ever stayed at in a rental unit (comfy recliner chairs and couch), including in the US (where I'm from) and around the world. The people watching was amazing, and the double glazed windows made it very quiet. The 2 steps to go into each bedroom was odd, but just a quirk of the place. Washing machine worked well (with very good instructions provided by property management team). I was glad the en-suite bedroom had no steps between bedroom and bathroom for my mom. Overall, it was extremely comfortable, excellent location, and I look forward to staying again in the future.

We had a great time at the York Boutique apartment. You can’t beat the location, it’s close to pretty much everything in York. The space was clean and comfortable and included everything we expected. The host was responsive and easy to deal with. We would choose this Airbnb again if we visit York in the future.

Found this to be the perfect property for 2 couples. Spacious, very well equipped. Good beds and bedding and towels. Location great for getting to all attractions we wanted to visit.

No milk sachets provided as stated in description and one tea bag however, local shops open late so wasn’t a problem.

This is a positive review with some suggestions for improvement. The location was fantastic, in the middle of the most interesting area. There was plenty of room and the facilities were excellent. Two main downsides. The bedding was not up to the standard of the rest of the apartment- the mattress protector was too small and there was only a bare sheet over part of the mattress. And the duvet was very lumpy - the filling was in clumps and some bits were bare. Difficult to understand when the rest of the furnishings were of high quality.
Secondly there was a lack of accessible instructions- for example as to how to switch on the heated towel rail to warm up the cold bathroom. It was not at all obvious how to work the hob in the kitchen, we had to use trial and error. We later found instructions in the manual in a drawer in the living room but it should not be necessary to go hunting and read complicated instructions.
Once we worked out how to use everything the flat had all we needed for a very comfortable stay. We loved having such great views over the surrounding streets so we could see what was going on. And we were so near to the places we wanted to see, we could just pop back when we wanted to.

We had a great stay in this very comfortable and cosy apartment right in the city centre. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bright living area with the windows onto the street below were perfect for people watching. The location was great, but it was noisy on the Friday night with music from a bar opposite the road until late into the evening. And on the Monday morning the food delivery trucks came and parked right outside the windows which was also a bit noisy. This aside, it was a perfect location to explore York and I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment! Well equipped kitchen, comfy furnishings, cozy living area, big dining area and seating, and nice bathrooms! The apartment overlooks a very popular area near The Shambles ❤️ but still is quiet due to clever double glazed windows.
While their listing says you need to climb stairs, FYI to anyone with mobility issues: if you can "do" stairs, just know the stairs are steep!...so be sure you're ok with that. Plus the apartment has a few small stairs within it.
Only one suggestion to the lovely, wonderful hosts (they really were SO nice and helpful and responsive!!): for non-Brit guests who might not be familiar with how the electrics and appliances work, a "how to" section in the guest binder would be really great and probably save you some phone calls! lol
Thank you SO much for a wonderful two-week stay and Christmas holiday!

You can't get a more centrally located flat in York than this one. Loads of restaurants and shopping nearby and a pub across the street. The flat itself is nice and spacious. Great kitchen outfitted with everything you need and a washer/dryer. There's no lift to get to the flat and the stairs are narrow but otherwise a great stay.

This is a lovely apartment right in the centre of York. The double glazing is good so noise from the street is minimised and we could sleep fine. The kitchen is well equipped so we could cook basic meals beyond just breakfast. comfortable lounge and dining area. beds are comfortable, shower pressure is good. washing machine works well and didn't shrink our clothes! only real drawback is that there is no lift and one fairly steep flight of stairs (though this is clearly stated) so I'd consider this if if travelling with a baby. Hosts were very responsive when we asked for a clothes airer and one was provided in less than 24 hours. overall an excellent stay and I would be very keen to stay here again next time we visit York.

Location was very convenient. Decor and layout of condo great. Master bath smells of mold, shower had some mold in grout. Bathroom faucet drips. Helpful if there were instructions how to use washer/dryer. Couldn't get clothes dry. Would have been nice to know ahead of time that only 1 roll of tp would be provided, if more needed we would need to purchase. ( Not used to that in the US) If the mold would be removed from shower this condo is a nice place to stay.

The apartment is very stylishly designed, but also feels very welcoming and like a home away from home. The sofas/recliners in the lounge area are really comfortable and provide enough space for everyone, something that was a big plus over staying in a hotel. The kitchen provides everything you need to cater for yourself, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spot on too.
Everything York has to offer is right on your doorstep, but the apartment was still lovely and quiet (we stayed Friday and Saturday nights and barely heard a noise!).
Overall, excellent central location with the perks of feeling like you are at home. We only stayed a couple of nights, but could easily have stayed all week!

We had such a lovely stay here. The place was so much better than we expected, its bang in the centre which was just perfect. We splurged on this place for our family of 4. Splitting the cost with another couple would have made the high price more digestable, but we bit the bullet and splurged. Probably one of the best airbnbs I have stayed in. Exactly as the pictures. Amazing location. York is a dream. About 30 seconds from the Shambles. 5-minute walk to Minster. Even the train station was an easy 15-minute walk with our luggage. All the rooms and 2 washrooms were huge. So much to see and do in York: we had an amazing meal at Forage and a fun night at the Golden Fleece!

Wow, this property is bang smack in the middle of York City Centre, surrounded by shops, food places and cafes. In what appears to be a residential building. Very quiet and peaceful. Spacious interior. 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, very comfortable seating in lounge, as are beds. Free WIFI was provided which was a nice touch and ideal for the kids. No parking, but you expect that when you realise how central this apartment is. Staff were great, kind and quick at responding. 10/10

If your looking to stay central to York, this is the property for you! The location is literally in the heart of the centre, close to bakeries, restraunts, bars and shops, also York Markets, which was a great spot for lunch! The apartment was unreal it was so cozy and well kept.

Loved this property. Right in the heart of the city close to all the bars and restaurants overlooking Kings square. The apartment was exactly what we wanted for our trip to York. Will be returning some time in the future

This property is so central. Over looking Kings Square it really was a perfect location for us. The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed for a really great stay. Beds were comfy and both bathrooms had a great shower

Amazing location, very pretty apartment. One of the beds was a bit stiff but there were 2 beds too choose from so not an issue at all and people like different mattress styles , other than that it was PERFECT!!

Very Clean and well maintained, we expected noise with been so central but we weren't disturbed once and the beds were soooo comfy! The kitchen area was great for cooking and had a nice big dining table for u all to enjoy a meal looking out onto the streets of York, the whole apartment was very tastefully decorated to a very high standard. As a host to a holiday let myself, everything was thought of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay! It’s right in the heart of York; a 15 minute walk to many of the main sights. The flat is super cozy, clean, spacious and relatively quiet (considering it’s on a busy road). Would stay again!

The location was absolutely perfect! The master bedroom has a luxury ensuite with shower and dressing room which made our stay absolutely enjoyable. The open plan kitchen and the washer dryer was top notch!

we struggled to find the apartment but was very kindly talked through the check in over the phone by a helpful member of staff, once in we thought the apartment was amazing and a great location for us, very clean and looked after and any issues were resolved straught away, the hosts were always on hand when we needed any assistance with heating which was great.

we book this yearly as it is not only a beautiful property but the location is one I don't think you will beat, right in the centre of York, a stone throw from bakeries for your morning treats. We love to people watch from the windows and watch the hussle and bussle of York, there are no issues with noise on a night or morning, after our multiple visits we can vouch for this! If you are wanting a central location this is the property I would reccomend!

This apartment is nothing but amazing! It is right in the centre of york and located above one of the shops in one of the busiest streets in york. It is a massive apartment and has plenty of space for 4 or even more guests. The bedrooms, bathrooms an dliving space is very modern and beautifully decorated. We were amazed with how happy we were with this property and would not go anywhere else next time we visit york.

The perfect location for my small group visiting york. th bedrooms and property all together is very impressive and we were very happy with the decor and how modern it looks.
It is located right in the city centre and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.

Highly recommend the kings Apartment which is right in the centre of York, two minutes from the Shambles with loads of cafes, bars, shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

The apartment was spacious, luxurious and spotlessly clean with everything we could need for our stay. Plenty of room for a family of four or two couples. We look forward to booking again

This property is in the best location, right in the middle of york which we were so happy about, its close to so many bars and restaurants- there was too many to choose from.
The appartment was fully equipt and very spacious, it was left very clean for us, the bathroom's were spotless which was a key thing for us.
We hada small issue when finding the appartment but the services provided were so helpful and polite, overall great stay in York and we will definitley be returning to this particular property next time.

We had such a brilliant stay at this apartment. Location could literally not be any better!! Right in the middle of York centre, perfect for tourism! No parking is provided but there are so many close car parks nearby its easy enough to get parked and cheaper in the Ringo car parks. The beds are both really comfortable and the apartment has a really bright and cosy feel to it. We stayed in and cooked one night as it was so well equipped there was everything there to do so! We cannot wait to come back!
