Lucy's Lodge is our beautiful one bedroom apartment which has been fully refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and makes for a great choice for any length of stay in York.
The property is located on one of the the well-known, most popular streets of York which is Bishopthorpe Road. This little street is surrounded with quirky shops, quality restaurants, and busy bars. In recent years it was voted the Best High Street in Britain. While being located just outside the city centre it is only a 10 minute walk in York and all of York’s world famous attractions are within easy walking distance.
Heading into the apartment, You'll also immediately notice that everything contained within the apartment is brand new. The dining area comfortably seats 4 guests, suiting you perfectly to sit and enjoy your breakfast or have a nice meal in!
The seating area in lounge is not only extremely comfortable but it also has the added bonus of pulling out into a sofa bed providing sleeping space for an extra 2 guests.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more for any length of stay in York. All the electrical appliances you would expect to find to make life a little bit easier are here like a dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave. The oven and hob are electric giving the apartment the most modern and contemporary feel.
The master bedroom has been stylishly furnished with a magnificent walk in wardrobe and under bed storage for clothes. The king size bed has hotel quality linen making it the perfect place to collapse after exploring all that York has to offer! Luxury towels are provided throughout your stay with hair drying and ironing facilities also.
The main bathroom of the property has been decorated to a gorgeous standard with stylish, modern tiling and contains a bath and a separate shower.
This property offers Free Off street parking in a car park at the rear of the property, just a short walk in to the centre of York, this property is perfect for your stay in York!

This apartment has a great location which is in walkable distance of just about everything. We walked downtown daily. We saw York Minster abbey, the city walls, the train Museum (highly recommend!), and we walked to the local groceries. The kitchen was well equipped, truly we had everything we needed. We stayed mid September, and we’re expecting moderate to cool weather, but the first two days were hot. Accordingly, the apartment got hot as well. There was not any fans, so we had to rely on windows which at the temperatures experienced, it was hot. Fans would have helped immensely. Aside from that, our stay was excellent

A warm welcoming place with excellent access to great shops locally. Also great location with quick and easy access to the city centre for exploring. We will definitely book again when we return.

Chairs in kitchen a bit low for older people. Also could do with more support in the bath. E.G. more handles for support.Appartment was clean an comfortable and in a good location for York and the Racecourse. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Good chip shop.

Had a excellent 3 night stay at Lucy's Lodge on Bishy road York, perfect location with everything you could possibly need in the apartment, 10 Min walk into York. Parking spot was fantastic, could leave the car and forget about it for the entire stay

Excellent location. We chose it to get to The Barbican one night and York Racecourse the next day. Lovely friendly area. Everything catered for and would definitely stay again. Great bluetooth radio, we've ordered one on our return home

Lovely little one bedroom apartment, perfect for me and my partner. The street its located on is lovely, very friendly people, lots of little cafes and really great places to eat. Short walk into York Centre for a day out shopping and it comes with a private parking space which was an absolute bonus!

Another good stay at Lucy’s Lodge.
Having stayed on numerous occasions we knew what to expect at the apartment .The apartment is clean bright and spacious for 2 people ,the kitchen is very well equipped if you choose to cook- however we did find some of the pans were left dirty by previous guests( but after I washed them were fine).
The sofa in the Lounge is starting to look very shabby as all the material underneath is starting to hang down and you can see where it has been stuck with tape..Overall the apartment is a great place to stay when visiting York with the addition of Parking. We will def stay here again when back in York

Stayed here over New Year 2022/23.

Apartment very comfortable and with the black out velux blind making the bedroom pitch black so good for sleeping.

Can’t think of anything that was missing that was needed.

Bishy Road has all you need, we did suffer from things being closed over the holiday period but that was just a timing thing.

Only negatives were very steep stairs to the apartment (only a challenge when we were moving cases etc) and back door banging from the restaurant below.

We would stay again.

This apartment is in a great location on the fabulous Bishy Road! Great little shops and cafes for brunch, also evening meals! Excellent that it has a parking space which is really easy to access. Very well equipped with all kitchen accessories and very comfortable. Easy to walk into the city centre or city walls. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay last week. We loved that it was such a quick walk into the city but there was also nice shops right downstairs. Flat had everything you needed & was great staying in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely apartment in a great location for exploring York. On arrival it was clean and tidy, just like the pictures, and even had a beautiful Christmas tree! Great clear instructions for check-in and parking.

Relaxing stay in a sleek modern, stylish apartment which is exactly like the pictures . Excellent location, only 10 minutes walk into the City of York but a great selection of restaurant's, cafes and even a bakery if you wanted to stay local to eat. Had a great stay here recently, would definitely recommend. The location is really handy, within a short 15 mins flat, easy walk to the city centre. Plenty of shops are on your doorstep too - everything you need is right there. Free parking is provided outside of the apartment and we were extremely grateful of it. The apartment was modern, bright and had all mod-cons that you could need. The TV has Netflix so after a long day walking around all the sights of York it was nice to chill out in front of the TV. Overall we would definitely think about staying here again if we found ourselves in York.

What a great place! Right off Bishopthorpe road and all the artsy shops and cafes. We really enjoyed our stay, wasn't nearly long enough. The flat was clean, modern and really lovely. The check in info was also really helpful. We will be back!

Great location - close to town and the racecourse. The only negative is that it’s very warm and that the bedroom could do with a fan to make it more comfortable.

We enjoyed the stay. The flat is in a good location with excellent facilities nearby and in walking distance to the city centre. We have stayed at the flat before. It is now a little tired and needs some refurbishment e,g. the blinds on the windows looking onto Bishy Road need repairing.

Incidentally I have not received my rebate for the security deposit. Please refund this in the near future. Thanks.

If you need a home from home then this is a great flat in an amazing location, only 5 mins from the town centre and the local street is full of great bars and restaurants.
