What a beautiful cosy barn conversion, done to a very high standard. From the minute we walked in, it felt like home and had everything we needed for our stay. Fixtures and fittings were of great quality, the decor was lavish (loved the top hat hanging bedside light) and the bath was a hit for relaxing after a long journey.
The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great too.
We loved that heating was so easily controlled by just turning the radiator controls and it took no time to warm up the space when we arrived.
Tea, coffee and milk pots were provided and helpful.

The studio apartment was beautiful, and really clean throughout. Perfect setting, large garden space. Cosy room with a bath in the main room which was was lovely for a couples time away. we will definitely return. Absolutely loved every minute of our stay. Although located outside the centre of york, it was easy access into the City! Hosts very accommodating and responded very quickly when we had a query!

we were in love with the converted stable!
Although it is not in york's city centre it is only a 10 minute drive to there. there is free parking on the drive right outside the property and free wi-fi during our stay. the bed is very comfortable and the large free standing bath is a very nice touch. it is beautifully designed inside and great for the money. it was left absolutley spotless and the customer service we received was great

Lovely stay at the stables, liked the little touches on arrival like bubbles and chocolate. Bath was amazing and so deep, only two little niggles - one, a little thing of milk on arrival would have been nice as the nearest shop is a little while away and the sockets round the space are a little weirdly placed.

For a visit to York this property proved perfect. Warm, comfortable and well fitted out with a designer style interior. It was located in close proximity to the Ring Road and the Park & Ride. On the outskirts of the village of Earswick there was also a choice of good pubs for an evening meal. We would certainly stay there again.

This studio apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay. The location was great, very scenic and out of the way but with really easy access to the city centre by bus, the bus stop was practically on the doorstep.
The place itself was extremely cosy, there was a really large bath in the room, which was very relaxing and a smart tv which was perfect. The bed was so comfy! We were able to order in from a lovely nearby takeaway, there was also a restaurant down the road. There was a lovely little dog onsite and the owners were extremely friendly. Little touches were left like a bar of chocolate and bag of popcorn which we thought was lovely. We cannot wait to return. Thank you so much X

Can’t fault the converted stables at all, this is the 2nd time we have stayed, nice and quiet with parking directly outside your room, don’t let the distance from york centre put you off as there is a direct bus into york virtually from the end of the driveway much easier than driving and parking in the centre yourself! We have stayed in many different places in and around the centre of york and the converted stables is our favourite. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfy and quiet. It’s so quiet and peaceful but only a 7-8 minute drive into York centre .

I did note upon reading the visitor book that many people had commented on the lack of sockets for electricals, especially next to the mirror for hair appliances. These comments dated back as far as 2019. So It seemed a bit strange that they hadn't taken note and put more in. (maybe there is a reason for it, I don't know) but we did find getting ready for going out a bit of a pain.
Other than that we really can't fault it and would definitely be happy to stay there again.

The studio apartment was beautiful, immaculately clean throughout. Perfect setting, large garden space. Cosy room with a bath in the room, was lovely for a couple retreat. Will definitely return. Absolutely loved every minute. Although located outside the centre, it was easy access into the City! Host was very accommodating!

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the stay, the property was really clean and fresh with great decor and a warm feel. The location was perfect as it wasn’t to far from the town centre so we travelled to York centre via a taxi. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would recommend to friends and family. We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the cleanliness and condition of the apartment. You could tell a lot of thought and work had gone into creating this space and we could fault nothing. The directions we received by e-mail prior to arriving were spot on and we found the stables without any problem. We found the staff friendly and felt we could approach them if we had any problems. The location was nice and peaceful and only a short bus ride into York centre. We would definitely stay here again instead of our usual hotel in the centre of York.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and there is a well equipped kitchenette.

Bus stop is very close to property and very convenient (it stops at the Theatre and Rail Station!)

Stone floors are lovely but a little cold so bring slippers!

Wow, we expected the stables to be a lot smaller but it’s a really spacious room, the decor is lovely, especially the top hat lamps! The bath is amazing! Me and my partner had an amazing stay here. The staff onsite are very friendly, the dogs were a bonus too! Really clean place, it is outside of the city centre but there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway that takes you to York so it’s ideal. One night stays in advance are offered which is great as a-lot of places don’t do this!
100% worth what you pay and we intend to book again in a months time!

The stable was fab...great location, quiet but close enough to the centre of York.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The customer service was excellent with all questions answered. The location is out of the city of
York but on a bus route. We arrived by car but it was nice to be able to leave the car parked safely. The cleanliness of the stable
was excellent with all the comforts of home.
Just two negative points 1. Not enough power points. 2. Shortage of shelving in bathroom. Oh and just one more. The weather
was unkind to us although that is beyond the owners control.
All in all a very pleasant and much needed mini break.

We had a lovely stay at the converted stables. The room was really cosy with a king bed and then an extra single bed. There was a sofa at the end of the bed opposite a free standing bath which was so relaxing. Lovely location, there is a bus stop just outside the drive that takes you into the city centre. Easy to follow access instructions, handy key safe entry as we was arriving late. The hosts that live on site are really friendly and accommodating. Lovely little touches left in the stables. Would recommend this property and would love to come and stay again!

We really enjoyed our one night stay in the converted stable. It was a self check in and got all instructions prior to arriving so was very well managed. The room itself was clean and comfortable and nice extra having a fridge, kettle, toaster etc. Could have done with more sockets in the room and the TV didn't work when we were there which wasn't really an issue for us as we were rarely in the room. Bed and pillows are really comfortable but it was a warm night when we stayed so a fan would have been useful but not too sure where we could have plugged it in. Fantastic location just a short bus ride to York centre and the bus stop is literally a minutes walk from the apartment so meant we could go into York and both have a few drinks, would 100 percent recommend to stay here! We also visited York Designer Outlet whilst here and booked a close by vineyard your at Yorkshire Heart which was an excellent family run wine tour with afternoon tea! Thanks for an amazing stay!

We stayed in this accommodation Feb 2019 not sure what to expect we were very pleased. Information pack was excellent full of places to eat, take away services Taxi firms and bus timetable into York . Kitchen area is adequately equipped.
I recommend the Stables to my niece and her friends they thought it was ideal and in a good location.
Our second visit has been as equally enjoyable.
The only slight disappointment was the TV reception was very poor we only need this as it was raining possibly could do we being retuned.
Will certainly be back for another visit it a little Gem of a place.

Arrived with my sister to a warm ,clean converted stable .
Only 15 mins to york centre.
It had all we needed ,microwave, kettle toaster .comfortable beds and comfy sofa ,really enjoyed our stay .
The only thing I could say negative is that there are only 2 plug sockets in the kitchen area and would suggest an extension reel and a fold away chair so that us ladies can do our hair and makeup at the long mirror on the wall at other side of the room apart from that I would love to go back and will recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room is so beautiful with everything you need for utter comfort. I have never slept in a bed that comfortable before. The water pressure was the best, especially the shower. In a really good place to hop on the bus straight in to York center to see all the sights too.
Any problems and they reply straight away. If you like a modern living space that feels luxurious then this is the place. Will definitely visit again.
