This cottage is a real home from home, and more. The attention to detail is amazing. The welcome pack on arrival with wine, strawberries and fresh bread was an added lovely touch. We felt like excited children exploring everything.

All the furnishings are first class and very tasteful. It didn't feel like a holiday cottage at all, just like home.

The 'only' down side was the lack of places to walk to front the cottage to eat, but if you are out all day then coming home to the cottage and making a meal in the fab kitchen is an excellent consolation. It is literally close to everything you want to do.

Thank you for your lovely review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Goldcrest, a home away from home! We hope you made good use of the beautiful surrounding areas and made lots of yummy meals in the kitchen! It would be great to hear from you again in the future regarding another booking. Many thanks again.

Had a lovely week in this cottage. Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay and with the added extras of a bottle of wine and biscuits to greet us. Really spacious for us as a family of 4 and handy for the A1 so we were able to easily get to Edinburgh, Alnwick Castle and other local attractions. Really can't fault this property.

It was a lovely cottage to stay in ,very comfortable and well presented.
The only thing that would have made it better is being within easy walking distance of a pub.
Lots if interesting places to visit in Northumberland, especially Alnwick Gardens and Castle
