Our stay as a family of 4,at the Hemmel was fantastic. Not 1 complaint, everything was catered for and the house was spotless with the quality of interior being really very good. Super location beach is 2 mins in the car and easy to walk to. Seahouses is 5 mins in the car and has everything needed without being too tacky. We would. Not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to family and friends we have done just that already. Stay Northumbria were a really good booking company too very professional and knowledgeable. Brilliant all round. Thank you.
The Causeway Barn is a well planned and equipped holiday home with many thoughtful touches from the owner (easter eggs!). I'd certainly consider bookign again.
Perfect place to spend the week. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Location is stunning and peaceful. Would highly recommend. Very much hoping to return.
We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable, well positioned and well equipped studio. The views over the harbour and the Farne Islands are superb. It was great to eat in looking at our view and enjoying excellent fresh and smoked fish from Swallow Fishery nearby.
A stunning barn conversion in a stunning location. Everything was perfect and Caroline was both really pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely re-visit.
I couldn't fault Clam Shell Cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. A home from home with every gadget you'd need. The garden and facilities for children are particularly good. Pat and Geoff are perfect hosts. Would definitely recommend for a perfect holiday.
My husband and I stayed at Powder House in September 2017, the cottage was lovely cosy, and clean, Pat and Geoff had thought of everything so it made our stay even more special. There was no downside to our stay at all. We don't usually go to the same place twice but if we do visit Sea Houses again we will be sure to book Powder House.
Had a lovely week at Willow cottage cosy and comfy a real home from home . Had every thing you could think of to make your stay a perfect holiday . Really great place for exploring the surrounding area x
Steading Cottage ticks all the boxes for a superb holiday let. A newly converted farm cottage, it has high spec fittings, comfy furniture, lots of space, 2 en suite bathrooms, lovely decor and spacious off road parking. It is accommodation on one floor so no struggling with suitcases up narrow staircases. The wifi worked well despite the rural location and good TV reception and channels. The owner, Caroline, provided milk and cake, tea and coffee as a welcome pack and was always available if needed, but never obtrusive. The location is a short drive (or walk if you feel energetic) to Seahouse...more
The Byre is a lovely cosy cottage which proved ideal for our stay. Very well appointed with everything you could need. Absolutely spotless throughout. The location was great for us to visit nearby Warkworth village and to walk along the glorious beaches. Our dog enjoyed the stay and the lane provided us with a safe route to walk. Our hosts were lovely and provided a sumptuous welcome pack on our arrival. This is a cottage we would love to revisit.
We have holidayed in Northumberland on many occasions but wish we had found this bungalow before now! -A friendly welcome including delicious cake! -Spacious comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation -Well equipped kitchen -Great location (near A1 but without noticeable noise) handy for getting to the many attractions of Northumberland -Great to see the daily routine with the farm animals -Enjoyed watching the swallows, house martins and kestrel
A week of utter bliss. Beautiful, spacious, light and comfortable cottage. Everything we needed was there. Superbly friendly and helpful owners. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Boca Chica cottage is the perfect base for exploring this interesting area of Northumberland. Not only were you only a few steps from the beach, but also near to many heritage sites. The Woodhorn Museum at Ashington is a must and only ten minutes drive away. There are many supermarkets and places to eat close at hand. It was great to know that at the end of each day there was a cosy cottage to go back to with every comfort you could possibly need. It is a credit to the owners, who were very friendly and welcoming. We are very pleased we chose to stay in Boca Chica cottage and would recommend i...more
We had a great week. The accommodation was perfect for us all...six adults two toddlers and a crawling baby. It was very comfortable, spacious and everything good quality. The children loved having horses and sheep at the bottom of the garden. The views were amazing. We will definately return
Portland is situated in an ideal position to enjoy both beaches in Beadnell. The property is spacious, clean and offers an excellent holiday home. All furnishings and linens are of an excellent quality. We'll certainly be back!!
A lot of thought has gone into making this apartment suitable for self-catering, and we were very happy and comfortable during our one-week stay.
Although we live in a lovely house in rural Shropshire the day to day commitments and pressures of daily life takes its toll but as soon as we arrive at Bega's Bead after a 6 hours drive the stress melts away., The comfort of the pace with every need catered for is lovely. Tea/coffee & biscuits and a tray of white tea pot/cups /saucers was waiting. The house is furnished / decorated to the highest degree but at no time did i not feel at home and able to relax., It was like coming back from a days shopping and putting on a pair of comf'y slippers. The place is far too big for us but...more
We've stayed here a few times before, years ago and really enjoyed it then. So when it was time to come back to the North East, where else should we go....? Thanks, I very much suspect we'll be back next year.
Lost count of the number of times we have stayed now, We keep coming back because for us, 1) the location is perfect 2) The property is spacious and well appointed 3) the property is clean when we arrive, and we settle in very quickly. 4) it is a short walk to and from the beach or Seahouses. 5) the beach at Bamburgh is spectacular, very rarely crowded and our dog loves the dunes and the sea. For us it is perfect, we love it.
Excellent cottage in lovely area. We arrived to an aga warmed cosy kitchen with a welcome pack of lots of local produce, much appreciated. We left with lots of wonderful memories of this cottage and this area of northumberland.
The holiday accommodation was excellent both my wife and myself had a lovely relaxing break, in a picturesque area.
Cottage is hidden away from the main town in on an estate near a school. You don't hear a thing. Neighbours are friendly and helpful and ready to pass on any advice. Cottage well equipped and comfy. Garden great for the dog. Only criticism was that the duvet was too warm for us, although due to the time of year can totally understand why a warmer tog for other customers
Beautiful apartment. Great location. Modern, comfortable and stylish. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Newish property on small tasteful estate of similar houses. Excellent accommodation had minor problems with TV and Microwave oven that were resolved the following day with no inconvenience to us. Very well positioned close to Alnwick amenities.
This cottage is a real home from home, and more. The attention to detail is amazing. The welcome pack on arrival with wine, strawberries and fresh bread was an added lovely touch. We felt like excited children exploring everything. All the furnishings are first class and very tasteful. It didn't feel like a holiday cottage at all, just like home. The 'only' down side was the lack of places to walk to front the cottage to eat, but if you are out all day then coming home to the cottage and making a meal in the fab kitchen is an excellent consolation. It is literally close to everything yo...more
We stayed for a full week in The Old Post Office Cottage at Powburn and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had never stayed in (or heard of!) the village before going there this summer but would have no qualms about returning. It is a great base to explore both the coastal and inland areas of Northumberland. The welcome package that the owners left for us included a personal message on a box of farm eggs for our young 2 1/2 year old daughter which was a great touch. There was a smell of damp/mustiness in the entrance vestibule and the cupboard where the immersion heater is situated b...more
This cottage has everything we need - party of five female adults. Just a minor gripe. Please could the lighting in the living and dining rooms be improved? We read, knit, cross-stitch and play board games and struggle to see!! Dimmer switches maybe?
What a lovely little bolt-hole where you can escape from the modern world. Swing open the stable door, settle down in a comfy chair with a cup of tea with the soothing drone of radio 4 in the background, and take in the view towards the sea - Idyllic. There is a tv - I'd recommend that you leave it off and enjoy the tranquility. Good food nearby, lovely countryside, and miles of beaches; I'll certainly be going back - as someone who takes regular short breaks, the shepherds hut, or Northumbrian Pride to give it its' proper name is one of the nicest places I've stayed in the last few years. Vale View is set in a small village with pretty views from the rear. All rooms are spacious and well appointed. An excellent venue for a family gathering or a group of friends.
We stayed here previously in July and enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked a week in September as soon as we arrived back home. The cottage was immaculate again, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. We were pleased to note that, following comments after our previous stay, a non-slip mat was placed in the shower and a brand-new mop was provided. We always like to leave a holiday house as we find it on arrival! Our greyhound, Lizzie, enjoyed her holiday too as the cottage is really dog-friendly allowing her to go outside and return again via the conservatory whenever she wanted. O...more
Cranage cottage was a most comfortable and well equipped family house in the perfect location for exploring the best of the Northumberland heritage Coast. The weather wasn't great when we were there so we made good use of the extensive collection of family games and dvd available. Craig is a very kind and informative host and even gave us a pot of his delicious homemade jam! The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the whole house was well thought through even down to details such as hair straighteners and extension cables. The children (10 and 11) loved using the typewriter and playing croq...more
Second time at Lynbank and again another fab holiday! Great location for exploring and in walking distance to the beach and shops. Really comfortable house with everything you need.
Delightful stay. Great location - we had the French doors ajar in the evening listening to the sea. Lovely kitchen and so very well equipped. Well decorated. Good parking and en suite bathrooms x 2. The bed and sofa were not the most comfortable, but they is the only negative points.
We really enjoyed our break over new year at topcliffe. The house was spacious and comfortable, with a nice open plan kitchen dining space. The house is well located within walking distance to the beach and restaurant/cafe in Beadnell, as well as a short drive to seahouses. The house was very clean when we arrived, and was well stocked with sustainable products, which was nice.
Very quiet property despite being almost in the middle of the village. Everything as stated and pictured in the description. Welcome pack a lovely addition. Seahouses is a friendly place with choices of places to eat and drink and shops to browse, plenty of seats to occupy as you watch the busy harbour. Easy access to the local area, beaches and castles plus the National Park.
Hastings House is a fantastic property for a large group of friends or family. The living, dining and cooking areas are spacious and everything you need is provided. A bathroom for each bedroom avoids queuing for the shower and everywhere is clean and comfortable. The hot tub is an added luxury and was wonderful after a long run and again after a long walk! Seahouses is only 10 minutes walk away so the cottage is close to all amenities. The Stay Northumbria team were excellent, coming to the cottage on our arrival to show us how everything worked. Would highly recommend this cottage.
The apartment is in a fabulous location with lovely seaviews and is very well equipped. We had a fabulous stay enjoying all aspects of the stunning Northumberland coastline and countryside, particularly Alnwick, Alnmouth and Crag Side. The Jolly Fisherman was a joy to have on our doorstep and we regularly called in for a glass of wine at the end of a hard day sightseeing. We also dined there and can highly recommend the food, service and ambiance. This is one of our favourite holidays to date and we will return.
The cottage provided everything we required and was a pleasure to come back to after a day out.Loved the sound of the waves coming into the harbour when bedroom window open at night.
We have stayed in quite a few cottages over the years with different companies, this was our first visit to Northumberland. Great value for money. Couldn't find anything at all to complain about. The cottage met our every need. Ideal for the dogs too. Would rate as a 10/10.
3 The Villas is a large, comfortable, very well equipped family holiday home. The kitchen is very well provided with enough crockery and appliances etc to meet every need. For a family stay fridge and freezer space is very generous. Two sitting rooms, with TVs and sound systems means everyone can indulge their own taste. Not that we spent any time watching tv. The property's fabulous location a short walk from Embleton Bay, the dunes, golf, Dunstanburgh Castle etc. etc. provide more than adequate entertainment. This is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in.
We were given a warm welcome and walk through by the owners, the house is clean and well equipped, and in a great location.
Thoroughly enjoyable week's stay in the Garden Room. Very well presented and comfortable property with leaflets & books about local area. Great outdoor space to property with plenty of seating areas, would love to visit in the summer. Ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coast and dales as well as visiting Tyne & Wear; rural yet everything on your doorstep including choice of two pubs serving food within easy walking distance and supermarket 5 mins drive away. Shower room a little cramped but more than adequate and additional handbasin in bedroom great. Useful combination microwave...more
Excellent location 50 yards away from a wonderful view. Comfortable cottage everything what you need .
Fully equipped cosy cottage close to all amenities and the beach. Everything you need for a long weekend or longer and a welcoming bottle of prosecco left in the fridge! We'll be back. Dawn and Martin
What a lovely cottage, and in a very lovely location too. We are a fairly large family group (grandparents, uncles, parents and two children) and there was plenty of space for all eight of us to be very comfortable in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped and it was lovely that we could eat outside at the table in the back yard when the weather was nice. We were really impressed with how well set-up the cottage was for little ones too, with a cot and high chair provided, and plenty of toys, games and books to keep them entertained. The house looked lovely; there was space for everyone ...more
I was told that some arias were not as clean, as was expected. In all other respects the property was ideal, & we enjoyed our stay.
What a beautiful home; our family were blown away by every aspect of this charming, warm property - a lovely week in a part of the world that is very special to us. Literally no complaints ... we're hoping to visit again next year and will hopefully make it a regular thing. A great place to make memories.
This is a very comfortable house situated in an ideal location. It's as close to the beach as you can get and within a short walk of the village centre. We were extremely comfortable during the week we spent here. Every body including the dogs were well looked after in this superbly equipped cottage. We had a wonderful week.
What a lovely cottage with everything at hand for a brilliant holiday, and within a short drive of most of our favourite places. We love Northumberland, and with 3 lively young boys, the choice of stunning beaches is great. Visited Cragside for the 3rd time and looking forward to returning again. Wasn't overly impressed with Alnwick Castle but the gardens are just beautiful. We never stopped all week and still didn't manage to visit all the beaches, coves, railway, bookshop etc that we had planned..... Until next time!
The property was alright the only down side was that the fire alarms would be set off by the steam from the bathroom.
We absolutely love the beauty of Holy Island and the Northumberland Coast, we visit every year. This year we decided to stay on the Island, it was absolutely wonderful. The farm house that we stayed in St Coombs, is fabulous there was plenty of room for us all. The position of the farm house is excellent, it has a breathtaking conservatory with a lovely enclosed private garden. We have used Stay Northumbria several times now & the quality of their cottages never disappoint. The welcome forlder and information folder was very good, there wasn't a strict list of does & dont's, plus no long list ...more
Extremely comfortably house with everything you could wish for, it was the highlight of the holiday. Beautiful location with great views. we found the information provided about the area very helpful especially which pub would accept dogs. we have booked for next year
As I said above we enjoyed our stay and will possibly stay in the area next year as long as am alive and well
We really enjoyed our stay (party of four adults and two children). The Hollies is in a great location in the centre of Bamburgh, which is a great base from which to explore Northumberland. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and it had everything we needed, including body boards and buckets and spades for the kids (the beach at Bamburgh, with its fantastic sand dunes, is second to none). We loved staying at The Hollies and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Excellent cottage, would not hesitate to return. Stay Northumberland were excellent regarding communication etc.
Clean, modern and well equipped property 5 minutes walk from fantastic beach and rock pools. Our party comprised children aged 2 to 12 and there was an amazing range of games, toys, sports and beach equipment to keep all fully occupied. Evidence of dog hairs on living room carpet where our toddler was crawling...would suggest a pet vacuum cleaner is needed. Internet reception is poor so leave iPad at home! All in all a great property for large family with children and would certainly recommend.
The cottage was lovely, great condition and cosy. Brilliant location so close to town and the sea. Really quiet and peaceful courtyard. Nice welcome pack and we'll equipped. Only gripe is lack of mobile signal which can't be helped. Would stay here again.
We have stayed at Sunnieside twice now and will do so again in the future. The property has everything you could need for a holiday away from home and is an excellent location. We particularly like the enclosed area at the back for our dogs, just open the door and they can go out safely - nothing worse than having to get dressed in the middle of the night if they need to go out, with them on a lead ! The bed is very comfy. The lovely welcome pack of milk tea coffee etc PLUS the doggie treats are a real bonus. The WiFi was a nice surprise as it wasn't in last time we came. We didnt fiddl...more
We booked three generations in on a friend's recommendation to help us celebrate some big birthdays! It was a great find. It's a deceptively big cottage with five good sized bedrooms as well as large communal areas. It was really well equipped and we found everything we needed (and more!) Beadnell is a lovely village with some great pubs, a nice playground and a shop. The cottage is in a fantastic location-literally a stones throw from a gorgeous sandy beach and a minute's walk to rockpooling. We had a fabulous time!
Fantastic cottage which is beautifully presented and furnished and we couldn't have asked for more for our needs (1 toddler plus 2 dogs). Great location in the historic part of the village next to one of the pubs and local café and only minutes from a fabulous beach. Happy to recommend this property and will be back ourselves.
This was our 5th stay at Seaton. And again it did not disappoint. It is a lovely house. Clean and comfortable and well equipped for couples or a family. They even leave doggy welcome packs and dog towels! It has a very large garden with summerhouse and the little patio is a lovely sun trap for alfresco dining. It is in an ideal position, the view from the front window is across to the Farne Islands, across the road and you are on the most fantastic beach, about 10 minutes walk into Seahouses and you can get all you really need food wise plus gifts etc. Possibly 10 minutes by car in the other ...more
We had a lovely stay - clean cottage with great facilities - everything we needed for a family holiday.
An excellent place to stay, albeit a little expensive, but otherwise perfect. Everything was in working order, comfortable beds [the right length - we are both tall], in the right place and we could be back soon. We would certainly recommend it to our 4 children and their families and everyone else. Many thanks - it was great!
Great location in the village and a very quiet spot. This is a really spacious flat and very good facilities- Super spot for a family holiday. The renovations have been really well done and the bedrooms have really sweet window seats with views of the castle. It might be worth mentioning that there are quite a lot of stairs but that really wasn't a problem for us !
it was very small cottage had to shut the bedroom door to watch the telly when sat on the loo your head touches the wall but the cleanliness was really good and really well equiped
Loved the house and garden, plus hot tub. Loads of spaces for everybody, and well equipped too. We had a great stay and would love to return.
What a brilliant view from the main bedroom! Great base for beach walks and to visit the Farne Islands. Restaurants and Pubs very Dog Friendly. Only downside was that there was a blockage of the main sewer pipe. Although this was cleared immediately by the owners, they were not particularly approachable.
This is a lovely house. Plenty of room for 6 adults a toddler and 3 dogs without feeling cramped. We particularly enjoyed the use of the pool table and the conservatory. Well situated for Bamburgh and Holy Island etc. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. A lovely family holiday.
excellent little cottage no problem with that it is immaculate and very home from home. just the price for pensioners, thought it was a bit pricy. but we had a wonderful week . and will go again . 5 star. thank you .
A nice cosy cottage in a good location for trips around the Northumberland either by car or on foot. Could perhaps do with a bit of a spring clean, although generally clean and tidy with good facilities (although washing machine wasn't working whilst we were there). Excellent views of fields, golf course and sea, there's always something to watch and the chairs by the windows were well used. Lighting was also a little dark if you wanted to read or anything in the sitting area on an evening, although fine for watching tv etc. Great location for walks along the coast to High/Low Newton and Cra...more
A lovely cottage with excellent views. Wifi would have made our stay better especially on the wet days to keep the kids happy but apart from that no complaints.
A great place for a family holiday. Lots of space, both in and out of the property! Made full use of the fields and the artificial grass area. Great location for the A1, Bamburgh and Seahouses. All rooms a good size and with all have en-suite is an added bonus!! The only issue during the week was the internet access, which was very poor!
With a little attention to detail and a general update and repair it would be an amazing cottage. That said, we had a great holiday.
