My first time to Seahouses and to the Wamsas Studio and I absolutely loved both. Wamsas is so clean and excellently equipped, with lovely personal touches such as the hamper, toiletries, beautiful towels, pillows and bedding (the bed is SO comfortable) and a seaview to die for. Thank you for helping to make my first (but not my last) trip to Seahouses so amazing. P.S. my dog Gertie loved it too!!!
Our stay as a family of 4,at the Hemmel was fantastic. Not 1 complaint, everything was catered for and the house was spotless with the quality of interior being really very good. Super location beach is 2 mins in the car and easy to walk to. Seahouses is 5 mins in the car and has everything needed without being too tacky. We would. Not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to family and friends we have done just that already. Stay Northumbria were a really good booking company too very professional and knowledgeable. Brilliant all round. Thank you.
Fantastic cottage with everything you could imagine needing and more. Just like home from home. Great having our hosts next door who couldn't do enough for us. They gave us all the information we wanted about the area which was new to us so we didn't miss anything. All the little extras that were provided made us feel really welcome. Hope to return in the not too distant future.
Perfect place to spend the week. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Location is stunning and peaceful. Would highly recommend. Very much hoping to return.
We had a wonderful week at The Byre. The owners were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We very much appreciated our welcome basket after a long journey. The Byre was immaculate, eclectic and perfect for our needs. It was full of light and very peaceful. We loved the nautical objects, open plan design and private courtyard garden. We were able to walk into Warkworth or to the beach. The location was also perfect for exploring Northumberland further afield. The Byre would suit a couple or small family and our six year old daughter was thoroughly at home. We would recommend The Byre wholeheartedly...more
The Causeway Barn is a well planned and equipped holiday home with many thoughtful touches from the owner (easter eggs!). I'd certainly consider bookign again.
This was our 2nd stay this year and the property does not look any worse for wear after a full year if bookings. Obviously very well managed and cared for. Everything you need!
A lovely Cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. A good central location for visiting the various beaches and attractions. Craig the owner made us feel very welcome. A very enjoyable holiday.
Warm and comfortable steading. Beautifully renovated and well laid out. Spotlessly clean. Private and quiet. Close to a number of beaches. We will be back.
Had a lovely week at Willow cottage cosy and comfy a real home from home . Had every thing you could think of to make your stay a perfect holiday . Really great place for exploring the surrounding area x
We had a great stay at Aidanfield. It is a lovely little studio apartment with everything you need for your holiday. The cottage is well equipped and is lovely and cosy. The location is wonderful with gorgeous views from every window. I loved looking out over the sea every day from the kitchen/diner window. The owners, who live in the house next door could not have been more helpful and friendly. The purpose of our visit was to house hunt as we are relocating to Northumberland in the summer and the owners gave us lots of useful advice about the area. The cottage is in a great position to ...more
We had a most marvellous time at Spindlestone Mill celebrating New Year with 23 people and our dogs. It was a perfect venue as we had space for a party and sit down meal in the annex room and everyone also had their own space to be able to relax and do their own thing if need be. Also access to the nearby beach was an added bonus. We would all come again.
The Powder House had everything you need whether staying for a few days or a fortnight. Pat had thought of everything and the kitchen was better equipped than my own at home! We loved the pretty setting with the little square of fishermen's cottages and flowers around the door. The welcome we received made our stay a very happy one.
The accommodation was excellent and the location was so relaxing. Easy access to the best tourist spots in the area also. Will hope to stay here again
We have stayed in a variety of holiday cottages in the UK and abroad over the last 30 years. Croft Cottage is undoubtedly one of the best we have stayed in. It is fitted out to a very high standard and is located in a beautiful and quiet part of Northumberland. The standard of cleanliness is second to none. There was a welcome pack waiting for us with homemade cake. The owner, Julie, made every effort to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the full. We can thoroughly recommend this property.
Beautiful modern cottage set in farmland. Every imaginable convenience even down to a freshly baked cake ! We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Particularly loved seeing the swallows gathering ready to leave.
Lynbank is a superb base for exploring Seahouses and further afield. It is very centrally located in a quiet side street near the main street so accessing the co-op or fetching take aways was easy. The pizzas from Elan were amazing! Lynbank was perfect for our boys (1&3) with stair gates in place, child friendly furnishings and a great enclosed back garden perfect when the weather was a nice as we got. I was very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen is. Just a small thing but it was very handy to have so many spoons as this is often overlooked. I reckon we'll be back.
We were a party of 12 adults and 2 children. This was an ideal venue for our family gathering. The equipment in the kitchen was plentiful and of good quality. There was lots of space for the children to play and the adults to relax. Highly recommended. One minor fault was the lack of wardrobe space in one of the bedrooms. Very well kept property and we will no doubt return.
A great place to stay, the house has everything you may need and is well located. Our extended family stayed for a week in April and had a great time exploring Beadnell as well the local area. The spectacular morning sunrises across the sea at the front of the house were stunning.
Lovely cottage ,in wonderful location(walks straight from door)but close to town amenities if needed. Very well equipped, warm and cosy. The owners had left a very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. We even had sunny weather for most of the week we stayed. Hope to return !
Welcoming, beautiful cottage close to the beach. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need.
Lovely place, beautiful setting. Bamburgh Castle in walking distance, so were all the restaurants in Seahouses. Short drive to Alnwick and Holy Island
Our stay at Millers Loft was not really a holiday as we had things to attend to while in Northumberland, but we still managed to see family and friends in the region. They were very impressed by this holiday apartment, as were we. What a lovely setting and what a lovely apartment, despite the flights of stairs. That didn't put us off at all. The owners are also friendly and welcoming, which always helps. Maybe we'll have more time to enjoy this as a true holiday retreat some time in the future, as it certainly seems like a good place to relax and to take in the wonderful Northumbrian coun...more
Wow - what a beautiful property. Fully furnished with everything you could ask for and some. The place was spotless on arrival and I think my parents could have quite happily moved in :o) Simple 20 min walk into Seahouses and from there straight out onto a sublime coastline - just perfect for our two four legged friends (who were very appreciative of their welcome pack!). Highly recommend.
The apartment was spacious, modern and of good quality. I don't think I can fault it's presentation and what it offers guests. Short drive to Bamburgh.
Bega's Bead offered quality home comforts, was really well equipped and more than met our expectations.
Had a lovely week in this cottage. Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay and with the added extras of a bottle of wine and biscuits to greet us. Really spacious for us as a family of 4 and handy for the A1 so we were able to easily get to Edinburgh, Alnwick Castle and other local attractions. Really can't fault this property.
Great stay in a very good location. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures - loads of space - and very nicely furnished. Beadnell is a great location with beaches, pubs, shop and cafe all on the doorstep.
We had a fabulous four night stay throughout the last week of February. The sun shone, it hardly rained at all, and we enjoyed our walks along the superb beach even with the chilly wind. Seaview 6 apartment is all you could want, with comfort throughout. Nice controllable heating, great bathrooms, a lovely well equipt kitchen. Such a feeling of space and light throughout this well thought out development. We will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended. The customer service prior to our stay was exceptional, with very detailed written instructions covering every aspect of our stay. Sa...more
We are planning to go back to Dunes Court in the new year. Our stay was so relaxing in a warm and very comfortable flat. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs and the appliances were excellent.
We love this flat and visit at least once a year. It's ideally located with breathtaking views of the Northumberland Coast and all that goes with it.
Very spacious accommodation with large bedrooms and modern bathrooms, power showers. Kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, plenty of pans, baking equipment, even scales and an electric mixer. Easy to cook for a large group. Underfloor heating throughout makes it very warm, lovely to come back to after a long walk. Very clean and well maintained. Views across fields out to the Farne Islands. The only negative comment would be that the beds are very hard, could do with foam toppers, but don't let that put you off, everything else was perfect.
This is a lovely well equipped home in a quiet ,reasonably central location We would be happy to stay here again
A great house in a decent position in Seahouses. Half a mile walk to the centre of Seahouses and a great location to explore further afield . House had everything we needed (including large tv and sky sports package), great Conservatory and private garden. Excellent - would highly recommend
Great little cottage in a fab location right in the heart of the village. When were arrived the cottage was all set and ready to go. Cottage was very clean and had a welcome pack for my husband, myself and our dog. We have done many UK breaks, lodges, cottages and caravans but this cottage has by far been the best it had everything you could possibly need it ( even a rolling pin). From booking the cottage to returning from the break Stay Northumbria were fab, kept us up to date with any changes and I loved the fact that once the booking had been made you got a welcome pack including informati...more
Hideaway cottage, like the whole of the area, never lets us down. Wonderfully cosy. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant facilities. We have visited many times and will continue to do so. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday!
We were really impressed with the attention to detail and cleanliness of Henderson House. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we were so busy we never even turned the TV on once. Amble is a really good place to explore with easy access to Northumbria. We hope to return next year.
We really enjoyed our break over new year at topcliffe. The house was spacious and comfortable, with a nice open plan kitchen dining space. The house is well located within walking distance to the beach and restaurant/cafe in Beadnell, as well as a short drive to seahouses. The house was very clean when we arrived, and was well stocked with sustainable products, which was nice.
The apartment was beautiful and a very comfortable size for the 5 of us (4 adults and 1 child). It had all the mod cons (except wifi, which was a welcome break) and a lot of space so we made it feel like home for a week. It is located right in the 'hub' of Beadnell, close to two great pubs and a lively cafe and also a short walk to the coast with many options for exploring without have to venture too far afield. Could not recommend a visit any more and would definitely go back for a third year running.
We had a fantastic stay at vale view. The place was big enough for our family to eat together and also all sit together in the lounge. The bedrooms were great as they were all en suit. There was a problem with the heating when we arrived so we were without heat and hot water for most of Christmas Eve. The owners were very prompt and brought round heaters and sorted someone to fix the problem. Once it was fixed the main rooms in the cottage were lovely and warm, however the bedrooms were still cold. Also, the water temp was cool in the rooms without electric showers. This was not a big deal and...more
Very satisfied with the accommodation lovely rooms with fabulous beds. The boys loved the den and my little granddaughter was so excited by everything, she is only 2 ! Great kitchen and dining room everything you could ever need in the well stocked house. Loved the the raised decking area with BBQ . I slept with the window open listening to the river so relaxing. And to top it all we had wonderful weather. Wifi good in living area but not upstairs but actually it didn't matter nice not to be tethered to the rat race!! Highly recommended Thank you do hope it's available next year as I saw...more
the mill was fabulous and all there was plenty of everything re cutlery crockery etc. We were a large group so had 3 flats - worked well with the only minor criticism being the number of comfy seats in the living room dining area. We had a great time and would definitely use this again.
Just spent a few days away in this delightful cottage well suited for a couple with or without a dog. Very convenient - just near town centre but tucked away from the bustle. Lovely seats overlooking the harbour just a few yards away and plenty to see and do in the area without driving. Lots of great walking from the cottage and visits to the Farne Islands. We were lucky with the weather which added to the bliss.
What an amazing house. Me and my friends loved our stay, couldn't of wished for a better 30th birthday. I'd also like to say a massive thank you to all the staff who kept me up to date with everything.
We booked the Villas to celebrate my in-laws golden wedding anniversary. A great family celebration was had by all with the added bonus of stunnings views from a beautiful house. Lovely meals were had around the big dining room table. The two reception rooms were useful but the reception room at the back of the house was the cosiest especially when the wood burning stove was on. Highly recommended and we all agreed we'd love to return again.
We had a really enjoyable few days at the cottage. The location was central to the places we wanted to visit and the roads easy to drive,( you do need a sat-nav). It was also easy to find the first day after our long drive up from the south coast. We had a welcome telephone call from the owner to make sure all was well which it was. Very clean cottage very with every thing you could possibly need.
Coble Cottage is a comfortable and well-located holiday cottage - well-equipped and nicely furnished.
We have stayed here lots of times over the last few years, mainly early and late in the season. The cottage has always been comfortable and warm. It is really handy for a short walk to the beach and only a mile or so from the shops at Seahouses.
Upper half Mill Spindlestone was a lovely place to stay. There were ten of us celebrating a 30th birthday and there was lots of room and convenience. The place was exceptionally clean and comfortable and everything you could possibly need was supplied. The setting was beautiful and we appreciated the views, thebirdsong, the red squirrels, the peace. We would definitely consider using it again and would recommend it to others. We have used a few places elsewhere at different times but this was definitely our best experience.
This pleasant cottage met all our needs- two small children: 22 months, 3 and a half, their parents and grandma, and for 2 nights, the other grand parents. It was thoughtfully equipped for a family with excellent washing and drying facilities for the never-ending washing and good cooking facilities for family meals. The location was convenient for the coast- beautiful beaches and good surf for the member of our party that appreciated it. We could also go inland for dramatic moorland, rock climbing and stunning views across to the Cheviots. We appreciated being in the pretty village of Ellin...more
Warm, clean and comfortable cottage. Parking space a bonus. Alnmouth lovely and incepredibly dog friendly.
A lovely apartment in the heart of Craster. The cafe downstairs serves good coffee, nice food and the scones are gorgeous! It's a great place to stay on the Northumberland coast.
Convenient to main shopping street and not far to beach to the South - took dogs there several times Book restaurants early as popular! Warm and well enclosed back garden - good for dogs TV needs remote changing or new TV as have to hold on button for 6 to 10 seconds to get it to work (main TV) Maybe a radio in kitchen rather than just TVs in each room? Beds OK - main bed was a bit hard for our liking Great location and great cottage if lacking in character - you know what you are going to get with no quirks
We were a party of 8 adults, needing 5 rooms, and preferably somewhere on the NE coast, so this house was a great discovery. Mostly we live in the UK, but two of the party arrived from Melbourne, Australia, so we needed somewhere they could feel warm. Arrival was painless (apart from the tail end of Storm Barbara), and the house was indeed warm and welcoming. We much appreciated the touches like the Christmas tree and crackers, as well as mince pies, and foil to wrap a big bird in. Various expeditions were made - to Holy Island, Dunstanburgh and along to the pub at High Newton. Sometime it ...more
The cottage was in immaculate condition when we arrived, and we have no complaints/issues about our stay. We were extremely fortunate in that we enjoyed excellent weather for most of our week there, and consequently used the cottage as a base rather than spending a high proportion of time there. Our one (albeit minor) thought re improving facilities was that Sky Sport TV could perhaps be provided to diversify TV choice in the event of more inclement conditions, particularly as several of our group are Sports enthusiasts, which probably applies to other visiting parties too? The other thought...more
Great location wonderful views. I live in London and being in such a quiet location and being able to sit outside with a view of the harbour was fantastic.
Loved house. Garden ideal for us and our dog.beach and rock pools just across road great if not good at walking far. Ideal for walk to harbour and local pubs at night.we loved to sit in garden on clear night thousands of stars just amazing. Only down side just the two of us we find it a bit expensive. But saying that I'm sure we will go again.
Hastings Dairy was an excellent choice for us. The cottage was very clean, well furnished and equiped.. The weather was perfect too and our Labrador was very appreciative of her welcome pack. The location meant a short walk to the centre of Seashouses for the shops which was the only slight drawback. It would also have been useful to have had a washing line in the back yard especially for two week lets.
Clean and tidy modern house with ample space fir 2 families. Great location 5 mins walk to the beach. 3 bathrooms upstairs so great fir privacy n getting ready to go out. We have stayed here 3 years before I do feel the property is looking a little tired in area but it didn't spoil our stay here. In future tv in bedrooms would be great.
An excellent base for visiting all the nearby attractions. It is a very quiet and comfortable location and most enjoyable relaxing in the conservatory in the evenings where we were joined by the bull from the field next door. We have no hesitation in recommending Burn Bank cottage.
We have been coming to these cottages for many years , this is the second time in Longstone found it very comfortable and all the kitchen utensils etc excellent. Bed very comfortable perhaps a blackout blind in bedroom although it was good to see the sun most mornings. Would certainly recommend cottage to friends.great position for walks on beach for the dog.some good eating places out and about.will be returning next year once again.a hidden gem.
Lovely little cottage in a great location - very quiet spot and has parking. Walking distance to dog friendly beaches up and down the coast. Stayed here three times now - always immaculately presented
The area was fantastic. It was lovely to be able to walk to the shops and the beach. The cottage was well equipped and there was everything in it that we wanted. We found the bed extremely uncomfortable. My husband suffered with a very bad back as a result of the bed. It would benefit from a mattress topper or new mattress.lovely spacious cottage.
Fantastic cottage which is beautifully presented and furnished and we couldn't have asked for more for our needs (1 toddler plus 2 dogs). Great location in the historic part of the village next to one of the pubs and local café and only minutes from a fabulous beach. Happy to recommend this property and will be back ourselves.
This is an excellent place to stay both in terms of locality and access to popular tourist places. Seacow is comfortable and spacious and it's position next to the Sand Dunes and Beach is perfect.
A warm welcome from the owner, who kindly showed us around the house on our arrival. Peaceful, idyllic surroundings and just a short drive from the beautiful beaches. The owner's family lived in an adjacent barn and kept us informed about local events and things to see. The couple living in the attached half of our cottage were delightful too. The house is beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a perfect week.
Ideal cottage for two, compact but everything you need is included. Generous welcome pack. Has its own private garden with numerous seating areas. Quiet area but within 10 minute drive of beautiful beaches and attractions.
We loved our stay at Seaton and didn't think the photos on your website really did the house justice as the house was in such a stunning location. It was very clean and well kitted out ,although could get a little chilly in the evenings. Bedrooms were particularly attractive and comfortable .
We have previously stayed at "Pebbles" in September 2012 and June 2013. We had a lovely time and the bungalow was great. It was newly decorated, clean and fully equipped. The situation was peaceful and quiet and no near neighbours so ideal for a real rest and break from it all. This was the reason we booked the same place again. This time, we were very disappointed upon approach as, we saw that houses had been built right in front of it. It spoilt the view from the living room and kitchen and we felt very exposed as there had been no effort made to put up blinds/nets at the living room or fron...more
We loved this cosy little cottage, nice to be so close to the sea front in the lively little town of Seahouses
Looks amazing beds and towels very clean kitchen great plenty equipment. house is a little worn stains on bedroom walls ceiling but didn't spoil our stay Arga great the house was so warm for march Downside hot tub only warm 1 day and no wifi we brought games that required wifi would definitely book again
The Wheel Room at Spindlestone was perfect for our week away, we were a group of seven and there was plenty of space. Overall the property was clean but felt that the bathroom mats in a couple of rooms (unusable) and shower door seals needed a little bit more cleaning. Spindlestone is in an excellent position to visit the Northumberland Coast as well as traveling as far as the Kielder Forest and surrounding area. This was our first visit to Northumberland and hope to return soon, we will certainly consider staying at Spindlestone again. Highly recommended.
This was probably our sixth or seventh stay in Northumberland in October and we know the area very well. The location of the house was perfect, the closest to Bamburgh that we have stayed in all our visits. The house was great with bedrooms a good size for our needs as were the kitchen/dining & lounge spaces with a fantastic fireplace. The only negative that we had with the space & room configuration was that one of the bedrooms which was on the other side of the house from the rest had access to what we felt was a small shower room poorly decorated. This was situated off the utility room and ...more
Enjoyed the whole experience. Cottage so cosy and easy to relax in. Trips out of doors really good, beach walks, river walks, the pier at Berwick. Our dog, Jasper loved it too.
Our only 'complaint' (not really a complaint!), comment I suppose, is that there was a lovely washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and video player, but no instructions on how to use any of them. It would have been nice to take home clean laundry, and not to have to hand wash-up every day! The microwave would also have been very useful if we'd known how to operate it! We were obviously wary to use any of these appliances as to damage them due to misuse would have been our responsibility.
A nice cosy cottage in a good location for trips around the Northumberland either by car or on foot. Could perhaps do with a bit of a spring clean, although generally clean and tidy with good facilities (although washing machine wasn't working whilst we were there). Excellent views of fields, golf course and sea, there's always something to watch and the chairs by the windows were well used. Lighting was also a little dark if you wanted to read or anything in the sitting area on an evening, although fine for watching tv etc. Great location for walks along the coast to High/Low Newton and Cra...more
Good for a large group of people, note that the annexe is not accessible from main accommodation (outside security light was not working).Ideal base for exploring Northumbria by car.
We had a lovely stay at the Old School House. It has a great location - the beach and all local amenities were accessed so easily. The house was just what we expected and although 5 can't sit around the kitchen table, there was enough room around the lounge dining table. The children loved their room with the views and teddy bears on the beds. Great to have the benefit of two bathrooms with a family. Easy off road parking and outside sitting area. Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and will be back!
