We really enjoyed our stay in Peony Cottage. It was the nicest cottage we have stayed in. The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage is in a really nice location, and only 10 minute drive to Alnwick. The highlight of the cottage was the animals. We met the donkeys, ponies, goats, pigs and rabbits. The owners were also very friendly. I highly recommend this cottage.

A lovely cottage located in a peaceful setting in the grounds of an old railway station that has been restored. Our hosts Peter, Deborah & Grace were extremely welcoming. We were allowed to see and feed their animals including goats, pigs, hens, ducks, rabbits, horses and donkeys.
The location was within easy reach of Alnwick and the Northumberland coast with some really gorgeous beaches and plenty of castles to visit.

Lovely property with lots of homely touches. It was spotless and well equipped. Very nice, helpful owner. Good location for exploring the area and having the pigs, goats, horses etc on our doorstep was lovely.

This is such a beautiful cottage and so well appointed. Everything is new, tasteful and clean. Great facilities for a baby (including stair gate). Brilliant location, close to so many great places. Lovely owners and a really charming menagerie of animals next to the property which we all loved. Highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable week staying in Peony Cottage: a perfect location for exploring the coast and inland. We had a warm welcome from Deborah and Peter who were relaxed and considerate hosts who had put a lot of thought in providing for their guests. The cottage is well appointed and comfortable.

This, our first experience of booking a Coquet Cottage, has been excellent and we would happily do so again.

As a family we really enjoyed our stay at Peony Cottage. Our children loved saying hello to the different animals in the field every morning and even got to feed them with the owners permission. The location was perfect for visiting near by Cragside National Trust and also for beach days out at Alnmouth.

We had a lovely break in this charming cottage. The attention to detail was lovely. We did not want for anything. The welcome hamper was lovely. It took the angst of having to rush out to get supplies. The hosts were lovely too.

Peony Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable property, centrally located in Northumberland and therefore in easy reach of both the coast and the National Park. The hosts live next door and are very approachable. There is a small but well-furnished east-facing courtyard which makes an ideal spot for breakfast outdoors. The kitchen is small but well-equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend the property to others.
