The cottage is quite simply wonderful, romantic, charming, comfortable, homely and extraordinarily well equipped. It is in a lovely quiet location, next to a small sea loch, at the end of a lane, but only a couple of miles from the main road. It is also very centrally located on the Uists, so well placed to visit North and South Uist, Barra, Eriksay, Benbecula and Berneray. There are great places for walking, whether around rugged coast lines to the east of the islands, along wide sand dunes and beaches to the west of the islands, over moorland or up mountains.
