We had a brilliant stay at little acorns. The communications from the property managers and bolthole retreats was excellent and both were extremely helpful. The accommodation is great, with fantastic views out on to the lake. There is lots to do within the lower mills estate and wider area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future. Rooms were lovely and clean and the living and outdoor areas were spacious. A great stay

We had a lovely holiday once again at Lower Mill estate.
Little Acorns is as the pictures portray it.
Great location, lovely view and the spa passes are appreciated and the large fan in lounge .

On the down side we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the property.

There was no means of hovering the house to pick up some trodden in crisps on dirty stair carpet and other areas as the hoover was not working.
Cardboard/paper under beside table.
The duvets were winter duvets ,it was 28 degrees a thinner one or even a sheet left at property would have been appreciated.
Bed linen did not appear in my opinion to be clean stain on master bedroom duvet, fluff and small grey hairs.
Mattress in master bedroom could be replaced as you roll into a hole in the middle.
Bedroom 2 duvet was the same covered in small grey hairs and fluff as was the fitted sheets on both beds.
We did not use the duvet and bought a sheet to use instead.
Floors were not clean (no equipment in property to clean floor)
Broken blind in lounge .
The lounge sofa is very uncomfortable and very low and a bit grubby. We did report the blind and hoover.
But unfortunately nothing was done, replacement cleaning equipment should have been in property.

The house just needs a good clean and some maintenance.
This would really make the property perfect.

We will definitely be back to
Lower mill as It never disappoints.
Would book Little Acorns again if the maintenance and cleaning were improved.

We’re particularly sorry that, having reported the hoover and blind during your stay, you did not feel these were dealt with. Lovely property in a beautiful location with wonderful lake views. We had a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The property was as described with a few minor maintenance issues that could be easily rectified. A new mattress in the main bedroom would be a worthwhile investment, but would visit again.
