We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Leafield House. It was spotlessly clean with tasteful decor and the views were stunning! The kitchen was very well appointed with everything we needed. We were very lucky with the weather enabling us to spend a lot of time in the wonderful garden looking at the beautiful surrounding countryside. We were all very sad to leave and would definitely like to return sometime.

I have rented several houses in the UK and this was one of the very best. It was the perfect location for a gathering of friends. The kitchen/main living area was super. Perfect seating and so much space for people to gather without crowding the cook! All the bedrooms were very well appointed and the number and size of the bathrooms was exceptional.
The setting of the house, the views from the rear of the property, and the outside seating were fantastic. It felt so luxurious. And so quiet and private.
My only suggestion for improvement was in regard to the crockery. There needed to have been at least twice as many coffee mugs. Whilst the set of floral bone china was lovely, it seemed impractical for a large group. Another more serviceable set would have better suited us.
Bet these are insignificant complaints. This is a beautiful house. We felt privileged to stay here.

We had an amazing few days at Leafield House. Everywhere felt incredibly clean, fresh and homely. We particularly loved the spacious kitchen, which was bright, light and offered fabulous views. It made a wonderful venue for our anniversary celebrations and the garden felt so relaxing. We loved the outdoor marble table - great for picky bits and Aperol spritz!

The house is also very well located for visiting Highgrove Gardens, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

A couple of points that may be worth considering: a few canopies or sun shades would be a great addition around the kitchen. We also found the ground-floor bedroom became incredibly warm by the evening, even keeping curtains closed yet there is limited options for overnight ventilation as windows are full length. In addition, the ground-floor en-suite window would benefit from a privacy blind.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return.

We booked Leafield house with Bolthole retreats and found the whole process very straightforward and hassle free.

The house itself was the best home from home we've stayed in. Flawlessly clean, well maintained and everything catered for.
The rooms were spacious, light filled and well equipped.

The garden was perfect, fully enclosed our dog loved it. Our neighbours were Rabbits, Deers, woodpecker's, robins...

The owners (Roland & Marta) were extremely helpful, polite and responsive. The thoughtful welcome pack and flowers were a lovely touch, thank you.

Located just outside Gloucester and within half an hours drive of almost all of the Cotswolds attractions, nothing was out of reach.

Highly recommend booking your stay at this beautiful home.

We booked Leafield House for a girls weekend away and it was the perfect place for long dinners inside and eating picky bits all afternoon outside! The pictures don't do the house justice because it is so much bigger than it looks and had everything we needed. The house also smelt beautiful! We look forward to returning. It was so special being able to watch rabbits, deers, robins, squirrels and pheasants pay a visit every day too.

We all enjoyed our stay at Leafield Cottage very much and would have loved to have stayed longer. It was spacious, light and airy in a beautiful, peaceful location. Plenty of walks close by for the dog. Ideal house for a 90th birthday celebration, with the downstairs bedroom and en-suite making everything easily accessible.
One suggestion - a bedside light in the upstairs bedrooms would have been useful, but we’d definitely love to return one day!

The house was incredible, the owners really friendly and helpful. Very well equipped, spotlessly clean, luxurious towels and bedding etc and a beautiful fragrance throughout. The whole group loved their stay and we really hope to return. It is exactly as it looks in the photos and walk through, perhaps even better!
