Enter a world of royalty, grandeur and stately elegance and experience a truly unique stay at Kentchurch Court, ancestral home of the Lucas-Scudamore family. Opulence abounds as you stroll the hallways, once walked by Welsh royalty, passing a banquet hall waiting to be filled with a feast cooked by a private chef in the stunning modern kitchen. The billiards room is adorned with antique literature and an old smoking room is ready to absorb you in conversation. While away the hours in the expansive drawing room before climbing the tower stairs to explore the many four poster bedrooms. Your days will be spent in the gardens playing croquet while the deer graze beyond or serving aces on the tennis court. Sitting within 5000 acres of estate grounds there are fantastic opportunities for fishing, shooting, walking or cycling amongst this beautiful rural countryside. Kentchurch Court is an exquisite setting for family celebrations and country retreats, leaving you with one-of-a-kind memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Having married in Kentchurch, we returned to Kentchurch Court for three nights to celebrate our anniversary with friends. It was a privilege to be able to enjoy such a lovely and historic house in glorious and peaceful surroundings. There is plenty of space to allow people to gather together but equally spend some time separately over the weekend. Our guests walked, cycled, played tennis, wandered through the lovely gardens or just relaxed in the various sitting rooms as well as taking the opportunity to explore further afield including Hereford, Hay and Ross.

The house, despite its historic grandeur remains very welcoming and comfortable and the plethora of family photographs reminds one that this is above all, a family home. The bedrooms are all quite unique and extremely comfortable. There are a few modern showers but the majority of the bathrooms are furnished with enormous old baths which felt very extravagant. There is an endless supply of hot water in which to luxuriate. It was a great help when sharing bathrooms, that dressing gowns are provided!

The kitchen and boot room have been recently modernised to an extremely high specification and are ideal areas for catering for 20 people for 3 days. Every conceivable piece of kitchen equipment was provided and the huge amount of crockery, glassware and cutlery meant you weren't endlessly washing up to equip the next meal. And two dishwashers is a great help! The kitchen opens out onto a lovely walled terrace area, full of huge pots of interesting plants and comfortable seating and dining areas with a huge fire pit for chillier evenings.

The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job and everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Well done Linda and Marg! We received a very comprehensive summary from Linda on arrival, giving us all the information we needed for our stay.

We would definitely recommend Kentchurch Court and if we can think of a suitable excuse, we'll be back as will our guests!!

Celebrating my wife and I's milestone birthdays at Kentchurch Court was one of those decisions you simply will never regret.
The castle and grounds are simply magnificent: incredibly well presented and lack nothing.
Memories with our closest friends were easy to create and whether it was a hike around the estate led by Tristan or wandering down to visit Jenn and the staff at The Bridge Inn, spending time at Kentchurch was simply marvelous.
The week rushed by but leave us with gratitude to the owners and Bolthole in equal measure.
Thank you for the memories everyone involved.

Kentchurch Court was an amazing venue for a family holiday for three generations. It catered for the needs of all ages, in our case 7years to 83 years old.
The kitchen was modern and was fully equipped with everything one could need for 20 people. the rest of the house kept the character of a stately house built in 1790 and a tower built in the 14th century. All the bedrooms were fantastic and nobody wished they were in a different bedroom. The beds were comfortable and the whole building spacious and beautiful. In this vast area the young children really enjoyed "hide and seek", and "sardines".
The tennis court and snooker table were frequently in use. The two lawns provided space for Croquet, and we brought our own equipment for Badminton, Volley ball, Tennikoit, and Rounders. We were fortunate with amazing weather and spent a lot of time out doors. The grounds are amazing and enormous and we went for variety of family walks. Never left the estate except to visit the pub and that by walking. After arrival cars were redundant.
The Banqueting Hall was excellent for evening meals and the outside tables and chairs were perfect for lunch in the sunshine. The large sitting room was a perfect place for putting the world to rights.
The estate staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, answering all our questions and meeting our needs.
The only thing that was missing was card and board games for children. We never needed them as the weather was so good, but others might and could bring their own.
In short it was the best family holiday we have ever had for our family of 19. Thank you Kentchurch Court. Highly recommended.

Fabulous property that is as good if not better than the pictures. Every room is a new surprise & caters for another situation - from the large formal reception rooms to the smaller, cosy snugs. Every bedroom is excellent. Having access to the surrounding deer park allows you to be lord of the manor for the weekend!
The house was beautifully prepared by Linda & Helen as housekeepers who also provided a detailed tour on arrival. The property is extremely well equipped- I can't remember ever renting a property with as varied & extensive equipment list. Despite being a large & old property the place was warm with endless hot water. Ideal historic property pwrfect for a big group break.

I don't think words could do this place justice. We were a large family, celebrating a special birthday. The venue, the estate, and the booking process were perfect on every level. We're looking to book again for the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This property and the adjoining lodge are wonderful. We were a group of ~18, big family gathering over Christmas. The court was ideal, it had a large extremely well equipped kitchen - huge adjacent area for storing food, and enough room for many cooks in the kitchen so we could prepare our feasts. The dining room which seated >20 was right opposite with a real wood fire - such a splendid room and ambiance. Up the magnificent staircase is the formal sitting room again with a fire with tuned piano - which sounded great. The room had lovely light streaming in during the day and views of the grounds (deer and all). The owners had decked the halls and rooms - several Christmas trees - all so very festive - the local church was just down the road with an appropriately upbeat service for day. Snooker room was a huge hit as was the location - we went on multiple beautiful walks directly from the house. It is a big and aging house with many, many rooms, so not everything in tip top shape but overall we had a fabulous time and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The house keeper was very accommodating, providing a generous welcome package and even coming to our rescue on christmas day when we had a maintenance issue.
